Very well equipped and clean gym (Wallington location). The staff is super nice and professional.
I really like that they open early and close late, so it fits my schedule.

Good price but they have really strange rules. They have very little space as it is and close off the open room for classes but they remain closed when there are no classes.
The machines take a while to fix usually 2-3 weeks and they break often.
The theatre in the middle is also pretty odd to have. I think the gym is in need of a serious update and a new layout.

Trying to cancel a membership is the absolute worst. Iv never been a part of a facility that will not allow you to cancel a membership online or by an email. Iv moved out of the state and sent letters to cancel however they have never received them. This is beyond frustrating.

It’s convenient for me, There’s alot of selection when it comes to choosing machines. I also think it would be nice when gym members walk through the door there greeted with a good morning/afternoon ….. upon leaving “ I hope you had a great workout see you tomorrow “ I’ve never been greeted since I started my membership, there’s always someone on their phones The little things matter, I also notice there’s a gentleman who’s always cleaning and keeping the facility clean, not to mention very pleasant individual. Overall it’s a decent Gym. 💕

I have to laugh at Eric Rubin's review below LOL! Dude, you're at a GYM not a doctor's office. The dude is concerned about other people not being vaccinated, which has nothing to do with the establishment, also with getting covid and dying. Then why go to a public gym ??? And gym bros? Really? What do you expect at a gym? Go work out at home. People are nuts.

Anyways, I love this gym. It's small but extremely practical --you have everything you need in here. Doesn't get too crowded compared to other gyms like LA fitness (good lord, it's like sardine nation there) but of course during prime time 5-7PM it can be a bit crowded like any other gym. It's cleaned thoroughly from my observation, staff is nice, and trainers are knowledgeable. Reviews about dumbbells not being put back, I mean seriously that's not a staff issue, that's a humanity issue. In any gym, you'll have people that don't know gym etiquette. I've watched staff put weights back where they belong. They recently renovated, which shows effort in keeping it going and when a machine breaks down, they do what they can to get it fixed or get a new one promptly. Great gym

Not sanitary and dumbbells not put back and sticky. it needs to be cleaned. People were not wearing masks. To many people touch every thing and nothing gets cleaned with cleaned with disinfectwipes. They should have them there for people to use when there down using a machine. Locker room and bathrooms are disgusting. Needs to be sanitized. Showered and drains disgusting. It’s ok. Weight room is TINY. Can fit maybe six people at most? The clientele is questionable. As I lifted today the guy next to me is bragging about not getting vaccinated. Refusing to wear a mask. And a bunch of “bros” joining in with him. I immediately put my mask on (sadly the only mask wearer out of the 35 people here). Come here but know you may risk getting covid since it seems a lot of people aren’t vaccinated here and nobody wears a mask. My friend died of covid last month and worked out here so….

Terrible service, never had an issue here until today , scan my husband membership as he pays for guest privilege, was told he had to be there which has never been an issue with any other worker there but fine it’s understandable, i asked for a guest pass and her response was its $10 , you give free guest passes why was today different, communicating to a customer that they could do it online for free takes 2 seconds.

The gym is open again and is adhering to NJ guidelines. Masks are mandatory as well as a temperature check at the door. There is also a form to sign asking 3 questions about Covid-19. The staff has been informative and welcoming. I haven't waited to go in as of yet, but I would recommend calling ahead to see if the gym is at capacity if you choose a peak time to go. Overall the gym is cleaner than ever and there are plenty of sanitizer spray and hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the gym

I wish I could give them zero starts. The gym opened on 1st Sept 2020 after COVID-19 closure. Based on what the receptionist told me is that they gave people option till 14th Sept to cancel their subscription is they wanted to. Now, I (and my friends + I believe many others) did not receive a communication from the Gym about this. I was surprised to see my credit card got charged on the 18th Of Sept with the monthly feed. With the current pandemic situation, I cannot take this risk to go to the Gym anyways and had to cancel my membership. I called them in July and Aug, they did not answer my call because the Gym was closed. They re-opened, did not send any emails, post cards and started charging as if nothing happened. I cancelled my membership afterwards and they charged me for one more month.
The receptionist I spoke to, absolutely Non-Cooperative. She simply denies to extend any help.

I’ve been going to this gym for about a year now. I haven’t received any bad experience from this gym but, The child care room needs cleaning. It’s not sanitize, floors are extremely dirty, my child’s hands and pants were always pitch black after being there. The Children’s room needs a lighter wall color and needs to be sanitized especially knowing that children in general carry the most germs 😖

I like the friendly atmosphere of retro gym. I worked with one of their trainers, trainer D. He was a fantastic coach. He tailored my program to fit my needs and was well aware of my limitations. I also like the point system I feel like not only am I working to become healthy and fit but I’m also working towards a prize of my choice when I save the points up!
