About the Club

Co-Owner, Co-Founder of the DISTRICT Training Facility.

Scott provides private training and online coaching to athletes of every level including Olympic medalists, National Team members, and Professionals in the NFL, MLL, MLS and MLB. He currently serves as the Physician Extender/Athletic Trainer to Dr. Montgomery, Head Team Physician of the New York Jets, providing in-office sports medicine evaluations to the areas top athletes. In addition, Scott has worked with the strength and conditioning team of the New York Red Bulls, collecting and analyzing sport science data for the first team to incorporate injury prevention programs into their training.

District has the best coaching staff that I've worked with. As a former National Champion, NCAA Champion and US National Team Member I trained with Scott and he helped me avoid injuries and excel my performance. He takes the time to study the sport and the athlete which he is working with.

Now as the US National Team Head Coach leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympics, I send all my athletes to work with him and his staff. They are very professional and extremely knowledgable.

When I tore my meniscus I opted to go here instead of typical physical therapy and I could not have made a better decision. Scott helped me a lot with squat mechanics, proper breathing techniques, and strengthening exercises to get me back to powerlifting without no issue! After a month working with him I returned to barbell squats and I was running again as well. Awesome experience and very knowledgeable and helpful.

Amazing coaches, and the location is a cherry on top. The DISTRICT team has been nothing but a light at the end of the tunnel. Jorge Diaz is the coach i work with closely, and he has given me nothing but dedication, direction, and respect.

Highly recommend for individuals who want to challenge themselves, and change not only their bodies but minds in the process.

Thankful for the lessons, and muscles i've gained throughout the adventure with the DISTRICT team.

I first started working with Scott In 2014 when I was a Junior in college, after putting in the time and following his plan he was helped me achieve All American honors in my senior year and having the second longest run from scrimmage in Division 2 history . After graduation we did combine training which led me to having one of the fastest 40 times then later getting signed with the New York Jets. I currently play football for the Canadian Football League where I hold a record for the longest punt return in Grey cup history, also I am a Grey Cup Champion. Not only was Scott the brains of the operation he has been a great teacher, motivator and a friend. And I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Scott Gunter and Gunter performance. If you’re looking to be a great athlete or somebody who just wants to be in better shape, or wants to learn how to eat better Gunter Performance is THE way to go.

One of the toughest transitions an athlete undergoes post an injury is getting back to a top notch level of performance. Healing is just part of the journey. The other part is regaining the explosiveness and efficiency in movement patterns. For me, this is where Scott Gunter has been a blessing to my training process. Scott specializes in going beyond the big muscle groups, and activating the small muscle fibers that can increase stability and strength which shows up in my performance. As a pro Quarterback, my training regiment is one I take very seriously. Scott has provided and well balanced regiment, calculates how my daily activity (sleep, nutrition, stress, etc) plays into my performance in training and on the field, and provides insight on proactive measures I can take to insure longevity on the field. HIGHLY recommend working with Scott. Very glad I've invested my sports performance training in him!
