Training with Corey has been an incredibly positive experience. His workouts strike the perfect balance between fun and challenging — I always leave feeling accomplished, never overwhelmed. Corey has a real talent for tailoring each session to meet my individual needs and fitness level, which has kept things motivating and sustainable over the past few months I've been going. One of the best parts of working with Corey is the atmosphere he creates. Between sets, there’s always great conversation — often full of laughs. The owner and trainer, Corey is awesome. The small class size allowed him to be attentive. He made sure I was using the proper form for each exercise. The one hr. session was motivating and enjoyable. Great way to start the day!!

My friend and I took the 5:00 a.m. class and we got a great workout! Corey is very personable, knowledgeable and was quick to correct our form even if it was the slightest adjustment to make the exercise that much more effective. He gave us modifications for exercises when we needed them and took his time with us. We will definitely be going back!

I started working out with Corey in September of last year. I was completely out of shape unless you think of round as a shape and had no energy. Fast forward 5 months and I can run a 5k in 30 minutes!! This guy is amazing! If he starts you out with 2lb weights it’s ok! Trust the process and don’t stop working! It will come. He even offers a service where he will load an app with workouts so you are able to workout on your own schedule. That is what I transitioned to just because my schedule got so crazy at work and I am able to get my workouts done.

When I started my fitness journey recently I looked in all the usual spots regular gyms, CrossFit, and other group settings. Nothing really fit. My wife found Corey at Self Sufficient Fitness and suggested I try it out. I was looking for someone that knew what exercise were needed for me to reach my goals. Corey is that guy! I met with Corey in the early spring after a reality check on my bodyweight and (lack of) physical activity, and since then he has helped me change my lifestyle to a much healthier one. Inquiring about personal training sessions, the thought of finding time to exercise and actually going to the gym all felt daunting, but Corey was there guide me through the steps we could take to get there, as we worked together to come up with a program and a plan, taking into account my strengths, weaknesses and time limitations as a parent and frequent business traveler.
