The front office staff were very helpful and guided us well. However, the teachers seemed inattentive—they did not actively teach or provide practice for the new students. Instead, they delegated the responsibility to assistant teachers, who lacked engagement and did not offer guidance on correcting posture or improving technique. They mostly stood by and observed without providing constructive feedback. I had expected the main teachers to be more involved in teaching the kids directly.

This Gymnastics school is the worst. We were there for a couple of consecutive years and out of nowhere they put me on a waiting list. Yesterday I called to see if I could enroll my daughter and they told me that I couldn't enroll my daughter because I had left a bad comment In the website, what kind of people work there.

My daughter loves taking classes at Shields Gymnastics. The coaching staff are great with the children. The facility is clean, open, spacious and the kids are constantly moving throughout their class. I look forward to seeing my daughter grow as a gymnast at Shields! I would highly recommend.

I took gymnastics at shields as a kid and now my kids take class there. My kids are 6 and 4 and they both love it there. The teachers make class fun and the facility is huge and clean. We have hosted multiple birthday parties there and they have all been great. My daughter recently started taking private lessons and she has improved tremendously over a very short period of time.

Great place! My daughter has gone there for over 10 years. The gym is kept meticulously clean and the equipment is maintained well. It’s big and open with a wonderfully trained staff. Lots of room with plenty to do there! Definitely the nicest gym around.

My son just started the Parkour class. He is having a great time. The instructor is caring and technical, as is the couple who run the site. My son twisted his ankle in a class and they reached out the following day to check up on him. It made a huge difference.

I started going to sheilds 4 years ago when I couldn't even do a cartwheel or handstand and I learned within a week. Now I have my back handspring and am working on tons of advanced tricks. The couchs are very good and nice. You can learn more in one class then I have learned in a week at other gyms.

I've been to this gym a few times for kids parties and I've seen the owner "yelling" at the kids and in my opinion verbally abuse one child. There are two ways to lead...one is by respect and the other is by fear. The owner of this place is "old school" and thinks that screaming at children is ok. I've seen it happen more than once, so I would believe it's a common practice for him. Looking for a kid friendly place? Keep looking.
