Great gym for the cost. Never overly crowded, good amenities, and upper management cares about the place. Youβll often see one of the owners there doing the maintenance himself. I workout regularly and this gym provides everything I need from an equipment standpoint. Early mornings are perfect for an hour session.

Did a trial day - gym was OK. Had nice views of the city. Very basic gym, had everything you need but certainly was far from an Equinox. Inquired about a Month to Month membership. They wanted an enrollment fee and 2 months paid upfront. Almost $400 for 2 months total. That price will get you a year or 2 at Retro, NYSC and Planet Fitness - all of which are better maintained.

I have been working out at different gyms my entire life and recently moved to jersey city and signed up with sky club. Their customer service is great, and Iβm always greeted with a smile and asked how my day has been every time I walk in. When signing up the contract options were fair and transparent from the start. Zero hidden fees or confusions about pricing, or what was offered in each contract as far as the equipment they have available, from classes, the pool, or training programs. Maria is the sales coordinator at sky club and she will give you a brief overview of the contracts and what to expect. Ask to speak with her when you walk in or call for a membership. The weight room itself always has more than enough space to find the lift youβre looking for which makes working out at sky club quick and easy. I recommend this gym 10/10. Big thanks to Sky Club!

Kids Swim program review!
- Unorganized and so unprofessional
1) The first day of the class: An instructor said that me and my little one (less than 2years) were the only one signed up and we were asked to wait for update for future class schedule, since the class might be cancelled.
The class ended up cancelled and we were moved to different time spot, WITHOUT being asked our schedule.
2) To make up, we were told to come over on certain day and joined for make up class.
The class was started in the pool and later another toddler joined and the instructor told us to leave and come back next time
because they are private lesson member.
Even the instructor laughed and didnβt take it seriously.
How would you feel.?
If you and your little one (less than 2years) are in the pool, the class was already started and after 15mins you were kicked out.
If you would like to experience the DISCRIMINATION, please go signing up.
If I could, I would give 0 star.
I wonβt ever go back.
Only think I liked is that staffs at the front desk were always nice.

A bit pricey but if you want something with a pool in Hoboken - this is going to be your best option. Also you have to keep in mind that there very little to none street parking in this area.

Like other reviews on here, I too tried canceling in September OF LAST YEAR. I've been charged every single month since, and got the "sorry the manager's not in" runaround every time I called. I've had to file fraud charges with my bank. Avoid this scamming gym at all costs.

Cancelled my membership in December and have been charged monthly ever since (now 3 months going). I have tried to call at least a dozen times to get in touch with someone who can refund my money, but I get the runaround every time. "Oh he's not in today", "oh I'm not sure when he will be in". I don't understand how a business runs like this. I will report to the better business bureau if I do not get a response in the next 24 hours.

Unlike some older reports, I havenβt had any issues with the staff. On the contrary Iβve always found them to be very friendly and helpful. However, the facilities arenβt really up to par. The bathrooms and showers arenβt very clean and some of the equipment isnβt well maintained. No one enforces the policy to rack weights and usually plates are just lying around. The sauna has been under construction for months and they donβt have a snack bar, which is outrageous.
Overall, this gym has a lot of potential if they did what it takes to make it better.

Two improvements would bring this gym/spa to five stars:
(1) Install mats in the European Bath; it is so (awesomely) hot in there that I have to basically run out of the sauna to avoid burning my feet;
(2) Install at least one additional deadlifting platform and power rack.

Indoor salt water swimming pool & steam room is very clean. Wide variety of exercise machines, and group workout. Very clean fitness area. In the process of making a children's fitness area, also. I highly recommend The Sky Club Fitness and Spa in Hoboken, NJ.

I've been to many gyms, everywhere. Compared to them, Sky Club is cleaner, and more pleasant to work out in. I've never had problems here.

My daughter is taking swimming lessons at the gym, the pool instructor Frank is very nice, however, most of the staff is very rude. Like a previous person mentioned in his review, manager starts yelling at the customer. Manager Cynthia is rude and has no concept of customer service unfortunately. Once these sessions are over, am never going back to this place again.

One of the worst experience I have had with this club. The place is not that clean, sauna is dressing room is always off. Little do you know when you froze account they still charge you money. When you want to cancel agreement they give you bunch of bs and charge you a lot as well. So happy to be done with that place

Terrible customer service and the machines are constantly under disrepair. They constantly run out of towels which are needed because the air conditioning doesn't work well in the studio. Its a shame the gym is so poorly run since it is a great space and have great group instructors (even though they treat them so poorly most have left the gym or are only teaching there part time). This place is way too expensive for what you get and the way you are treated.

These guys make it very tough to get any information... I tried calling them up and the rude operator told me to go to the website, she just refused to give any details about the swimming programs or schedules. When I went to the website it was very tough just to find the pool schedule. When you click on the Aquatics department you get the names of the people in charge but I can't seem to navigate my way to the pool schedule. After trial and error I finally found it, but then when I wanted information about kids swimming lessons again I found myself navigating back and forth.
For a business that makes it so tough for anyone to become a customer I'd rather go elsewhere. There are plenty of other options in the area

This gym has gone through many management changes, and like many other businesses, there were some failures and successes. The people that live in the surrounding neighborhood keeps it alive and well. The gym in turn have tried their best to keep their members happy. There are still some bumps in the road so to speak, (Hoboken potholes notwithstanding), and management is learning from their past mistakes and moving forward. I will be bold enough to say that this gym has become a small neighborhood gem, because of the people that strive to make it better. A new website has been created, and new group fitness classes have been added to serve the variety of interests. I believe this gym is up to par with their group fitness classes against other gyms in the neighborhood, if not better. This is because of the Les Mills Group Fitness they offer. The instructors are dedicated and motivated to inspire people to live a fitter life. This is the only gym in the Hoboken area that has an Olympic Style saltwater pool, available for swimming classes for kids and adults alike. There is a pool deck that have sweeping views of Manhattan, a steam bath and a European style bath. If so inclined, there is also a spa for a massage or a facial to enjoy. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. As you can see , there is a lot of promise for SkyClub Fitness and Spa. I am hoping that my review will inspire other people to look at it more closely and give it another chance, There is no denying the problems they've had, but hopefully, the community we've made by going to this gym for many years will pay off and get new members interested.

Absolutely awful experience. They apparently have an "old" and a "new" website. Google (both in maps and in search) go to the old website. The website doesn't direct you to the new website in any way. The new website has a laundry list of rules one has to follow if he/she wants to use their facilities. My girlfriend and I went, paid the $50 for us to try it out. When my girlfriend was told she wasn't following the rules (of which neither of us knew anything about), we were asked to leave. We asked for a refund, in that we were only there for 20 minutes, and said it was out of the question, because the new website had the rules listed. The facilities are subpar and the staff is simply rude.

If you enjoy broken equipment and a closed pool join this gym. The management staff does no preventive maintenance what so ever and when something is broken it takes at least a week to fix. One treadmill has been broken for 2 months now! The pool is constantly closed for repairs and the pool manager is as rude as they come. All the money you pay goes to sticking free trial passes on car windshields and promoting kids. A waste of money.
