I’ve been playing roller hockey at XL Sports World for years and have built many friendships and memories there. The league was growing, with new teams and players joining regularly. For those of us in central and southern NJ, this was one of the closest and best places to play.

That’s why I was disappointed to learn that roller hockey and volleyball are being discontinued in favor of adding another turf field—especially when the existing turf field was often empty, while the court was consistently in use. With this decision, a large portion of the facility’s long-standing community has essentially been pushed out.

I reached out to management and suggested revamping the court to attract even more teams, but the response I received simply doubled down. Removing two active sports in favor of one that didn’t seem to be in high demand feels like a step backward. It’s unfortunate to see a place that once brought the community together move in this direction.

As a camper it is a great place for me I am always moving which I love but I always like a certain activity such as ping pong, basketball, flag football, kickball, and so much more and that’s why this is a 5 out of 5 camp 👍

This is my son's second year at this camp and we will not be returning after today. For background, my son is 13 years old and going into 8th grade. He has autism but has always excelled in school without any need for accommodations other than occasional use of quiet spaces when there is too much noise. He is a straight A student whose teachers have always said he is a joy to have in class. Our experience at XL Sports World Summer Camp was very different. The director today said a few things that I have never before heard a professional adult say:
1) Our camp would be better without him here.
2) Children with autism might not belong here.
3) Children who are not athletically-inclined might not belong here.

Now for a little bit about our son's experience and what led to this conversation:
1) The air conditioning only cools to 15-20 degrees lower than the outside temp. So when it was over 100 degrees last week, the kids were overheating inside. On one of these days, my son asked to fill up his water bottle and was not allowed to do so. This was during one of 4 daily "roll calls" which seem to take an excessive amount of time.
2) During times when the kids are not on field trips, there is very little in the way of activities to do. There are some sports-related activities (1 at a time, maybe once per day and not every day). But if kids do not want to do that particular activity, there is no back-up activity for them to do. They are expected to just sit on the floor. They do not allow phones and do not allow kids to bring anything from home to entertain themselves, like games, beads, drawing materials, etc. When the athletic activity is not happening, the kids just sit in the "lounge" where there is no enrichment.
3) Our son, after the day in the heat where music was blaring and he was sitting on the floor for hours, left a 1-star review for the camp. He didn't write anything in the comments- just left the review. The director pulled us into a meeting today. Rather than ask what led to the review, he immediately threatened to kick my child out of camp.

There are likely people at the camp that truly care about the kids and want to do a good job. But in my experience, I have found the director to be someone who does not respect the kids, definitely does not respect kids with any special needs of any kind, and does not provide the engagement or enrichment that I would expect from a summer camp. I have read the other one-star reviews from other parents and have the very same issues that they have had.

In summary, if your child fits the mold of an outgoing, athletic kid who just goes with the flow then this camp might be a fine fit for you. If you child is more quiet, more artistic-minded, or is different in any way, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I've been playing in the women's volleyball league at the Mt. Laurel location and the coed volleyball league at the Cherry Hill location for 14 years. It used to owned by ISC, but since XL Sports took over, they have steadily increased league fees and forced us to pay facility membership fees to maintain and improve the facility. Today we got an email from facilities manager Billy Englishby that they are planning renovations to remove the courts and build a turf field. Meaning all volleyball leagues will be cancelled. He thanked us in the email stating that our local community "helped make the facility what it is today" but is destroying that well-established community with this decision. These slimeballs used our fees to remove our sport and were such cowards about it, that they couldn't be bothered to let us know until after our current (and now last) season was finished. It's rare a facility exists that supports thriving adult women's, men's and coed leagues and now it won't. Disgusting decision that was handled in a shameful manner.

1 star but really ZERO stars.
I have played in the adult womens volleyball league here for more than a decade and Billy Englishby decided to change the hard courts to turf fields effectively cutting all volleyball from the facility. This is a slap in the face to the local community that has "helped make this facility what it is today." How could a facility that claims to be about supporting sports so easily disregard a long-standing, thriving league that was already a space for women to connect, stay active and enjoy a great sport. SHAME ON YOU.

Not suited for 2 year olds. I went and paid the $8 but apparently the tiny tykes room isn’t there so we had to leave. I was so disappointed after driving 30 mins with 2 kids and leaving after 10 mins of being there. Better for older kids. I thought there was much more to offer

We had my son’s 5th birthday party here and it was perfect from start to finish. Christian, Colin, and Gabe did a fabulous job organizing everything. We had a sports party and then kids hung out in the fun zone. They were polite, personable, and provided excellent service. 100% recommend them! Thank you XL sports!!

XL Sports World Mt. Laurel's Summer Camp is a great program. The program is reasonably priced, and offers a lot of different activities to keep the kids engaged. They also offer optional field trips which made me feel like my child really got a lot of great summer experience and memories, even while I had to work! From the director, Wayne, to the camp counselors, every staff person I interacted with was kind and professional. My child went from complaining about having to go to a summer camp, to not wanting it to end. Great camp, highly recommend!

We arrive at summer camp at 9:04. ONE singular person is checking in from now. The line is now out the door. By the time we get to the front. It is 9:12 and I am told my son can't go on the swim trip I paid for because it is after 9 am. Now this same thing happened to two other parents in the line and one vocally said she did not see that arrive by 9 am rule and she was on the website. I was aware the trips left at 10 am, but to stand in the line that long and be turned away from a trip you paid for, is utterly ridiculous. I asked politely if there could be a 10-15 min grace period given the fact the line is and was still out the door waiting for people to check-in. Rude and Carless Wayne strikes again, without hesitation he says no because then everything would need a grace period. I wanted to say yeah of course everything does have a grace period (bills, appointments, deadlines, registrations) that is how things work... Every entity with a schedule to follow typically has a grace period. A hard and fast grace period is fine, or the people at least standing in the line to check in should be excused and given grace because it is not as if they arrived at 9:30 am begging for mercy. I am aware there are schedules to keep but you cannot tell me that if I didn't stand in the long line with one person checking in my kid would have made it. Their poor operations cost my child a trip, a trip I already paid for. Wayne, the shining example that customer service and kindness are dead "Director" did not care. Of course, he didn't care because XL Sports already got their money for the trip. He didn't apologize for me waiting in line, he didn't see "what he can do", he didn't even seem apologetic even with the no. There wasn't a "No, I am sorry but.." His response was NOTHING BUT RUDE and AGGRESSIVE with an "Oh Well" "I could not care less" smug attitude.
My son sat there ready to cry with tears welling up. There was no "Let me see where we are at, Buddy". NOTHING!!
There wasn't a check-in with anyone on the floor there with the group, just a hard no followed up with no grace period, and the expectation to just leave out of there.

This is not the type of place I want to willingly give my money up to when the Director himself has no idea how to treat the people who are the reason he has a job. Big changes, training, and professional development need to be implemented because everyone from Camden County- Cherry Hill to Burlington County -Mount Laurel will know this place, and not for good reasons. Word of Mouth referrals They want the $$, not the kids, and that is exactly how you will feel. Like another number.... not a person that matters.

Word-of-mouth marketing and referrals are a powerful tool in sustaining a business, 92% of consumers trust WOM referrals and marketing above all other forms of advertising. Up to 50% use referrals as the primary decision-maker to do business with or make purchases from a business. I think this is important to note, especially in this economy people are not going to throw their money to a place that shows a clear lack of skill in conflict resolution and absolutely no customer service. People may forget what you said, and what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel. You can't make your customers feel as though they do not matter and expect that as a business this should be tolerated and normalized.

TERRIBLE! I would give ZERO stars if I could. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE here. Don't bring your kids here, they don't give two hoots about anything but the $.
On the first day of picking up my children from camp, the emergency contacts were down only for pick-up (not the parents). I happily showed my ID and was told I wasn't on the list to pick my children up. Astonished, I said but you're charging my bank account, sending the emails to my email, etc. Why would I not be their mother? I am the person who signed them up. Wayne the director said disgustingly "Doesn't matter". I will have to call the emergency contacts to ask if you're their mother. At this point, I was insulted and irate because instead of trying to look up the account to see names/addresses matching, etc. He told me I would have to prove they were my children. What in the world? My ID has the same address as my children's and my husband sent in his work ID to get the 10% discount. You can look into the system, see my husband's ID badge for work, and put 2+2 together that those people authorized to pick up are emergency contacts and not parents. If Wayne just said "Hey, hold on let me look up what we have" Instead of being condescending and careless the situation would have gone entirely different. Wayne at that moment chose to talk down to me, asking if I read the registration correctly. Then stating "well it is your fault if you didn't put the parent's names down on the pick-up list." Excuse me, maybe it was assumed that as the parents and people signing them up, living in the same house, the same address that they could pick up unless otherwise noted.
(I have a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy and a Doctorate in Education). Now these are two degrees I am sure Wayne doesn't have because he barely has people skills. I flipped out admittedly because my sick daughter was in the car and I had to get her to a specialist appointment, it is well-known that people wait months to see a specialist. Now Wayne instead of being solutions-oriented on his end was holding me up to this appointment by unnecessarily placing blame, making me prove my maternity to my children, instead of solving and looking to see what was in the system. I feel as though that would have been the smartest option before insulting a parent.

Maybe Wayne has an axe to grind or a Napoleon complex. However, for the sake of the business, put him away from the customers. This is a paid service and if you care about your customers, you would treat them as if you do not?

I certainly hope he is not the owner because we spent two summers at XL Sports in Cherry Hill and had ZERO issues. Paul, the director at Cherry Hill is fabulous beyond fabulous. He is a hard worker and tries to solve all problems expeditiously.
Wayne in Mt Laurel, on the other hand, is a fire starter because he comes to the issue trying to "fight", deflect, and place blame, by showing his little care or concern for you or your child's happiness.
As a person in leadership and dealing with the public, it is imperative to approach every issue and concern with a solution mindset. (Even if the parent is dead wrong). Mistakes happen right? Why be so rude? Are you trying to solve the problem or make someone feel terrible and incompetent?

The attitude should be "Yeah we can figure this out, let me look, or let's see what we can do." Instead, his way of intervening with an issue is to exacerbate the conflict by throwing gasoline on a fire. Then a week later, there was another issue. Again, instead of Wayne stepping in and trying to assist and get to a win/win situation. In typical Wayne, fashion was careless, rude, and again showing attributes unbecoming of a Director. I can assure XL Sports, that for every person I meet who asks me about camp for my kids, I will tell them how awful this experience and the leadership at this establishment is. I will tell them to go anywhere but here.

I am dismayed and disillusioned.

The public needs to know how poorly they treat their customers and how inept the leader is.

Emma was an exceptional host. She organized the food and drinks, and served them at the perfect time. She offered suggestions, and was overall very friendly and helpful. Children's parties can be stressful, and having Emma made things so much easier and more enjoyable for us, as the parents. We will definitely throw another party here, and request Emma as our host whenever possible!

We rented the entire facility out for a big 7 school event on Saturday 4/13. The XL Sports staff was extremely helpful. They also were able to accommodate all of our needs the night of the event. The staff jumped in and helped with the breakdown of equipment etc. From start to finish--working with Billy Englishby to working with Christian and other employees, everyone was top notch. Highly recommend doing your event or using the XL Sports facility.

My son has been playing NFL flag football at XL Sports Mt. Laurel for many years. The program is very well run, from the management and communication from the facility director to the wonderful and positive coaches - they are very attentive and put a lot of work and heart into the program. XL Sports' NFL flag football is both low commitment time-wise but high professionalism. Every Saturday my son plays a flag football game that is competitive but not over the top or stressful - he's learned a lot skill-wise but it's mainly just fun for him. He is about to age out of the league - we have enjoyed our many years at XL Sports Mt. Laurel and will miss it... it was money well spent!

We just had our twins 6th bday party at the. Fun zone portion of XL Sports in Mt Laurel. It was a fantastic experience. There were so many things provided for the cost! They provided the invites, the beverages, the table coverings, napkins, plates, utensils. It was so great to have all that there and available for us to use. Christian was great to plan out all the details from start to finish when i talked to him on the phone. And best of all we had an amazing host who helped us set everything up, clean up and even get the gifts packed up for the car. (Rachel) She constantly made sure we were good. BEST part was that the kids had a fantastic time and the parents did too i think- getting to sit back and watch their kids have fun for two hours while we all caught up and had some coffee and bagels. (You can bring in your own food too) I HIGHLY recommend this to any one who has a child who is looking for a seamless well priced party package that the kids all have a blast at!!

Clean the freaking bathrooms!!! None of the toilets have been flushed and there’s toilet paper everywhere!! All the time! The bathrooms are not the only thing disgusting about this place! The floors, the tables, the chairs, the hockey rink, gross. All of it, horrendous. I come here every week to watch roller hockey, so it’s pretty plan to see that nobody care about the upkeep:

Both of my sons, then 7 and 9, enjoyed the jungle gym. My older learned to skate there during a holiday break day, and my younger became somewhat less bashful. I had to overlook an embedded smell and certain overt misses in cleaning processes. I am not an ocd cleaner, but it’s likely to be some kind of materials thing. My 7 ended up not liking the amount of in-between time surrounding check-in points throughout the day. Morning can be a matter of maybe an hour sitting on the floor collecting for/waiting after roll, from what’s conveyed, so it becomes a bit of agonizing over preferred time to even get there and by which to be picked up. They play fun sports and recreation games, and the general athleticism comes with good attitudes overall. The checkin and pickup process is generally excellent, and even if you’re waiting among a line the staff there enjoys their good manners. The blacktop had a pipe sticking out- my 7 was lucky to graze it lightly by his temple… soccer was on the blacktop for their age when other space was unavailable, and their age fell a bit (mines feet were growing in unevenly at the time, so I’m inclined to think he tripped himself up more.) My husband was boggled, certainly critical, about the random pipe at height on the blacktop. I’d rather not think it triggered a defensive spree, but one of the staff members was especially rude (brash, loud, grunty-face-making while yelling) and in front of my child. It’s true that many dropping off after employees have arrived for trips and maybe a later shift start and all, not to mention the gym crowd besides, can have confined parking. The space to the top right is often used for drop-offs, yet there was NOT signage there let alone about a fire zone. Not only did that employee literally race me to the 5-minute parking labeled for drop-offs of campers in order to snatch it just ahead of my child and I (in the very section advertised for drops!), but he then set upon the nastiest of parking lot yelling at me about the subsequent drop spot that I often saw people using. The manager later said they were phasing out the designated 5-minute parking area—meanwhile, it was advertised with actual professional signage for reasonable purposes of a summer camp with their parking circumstances. You’d think they could manage any professional respect for or about it, as a communications expectation established by their premises to their public.

It was almost like the employee was really entitled to the spot ONLY if it meant a football field of inconvenience to myself (and/or my littles/family?) His violent face making introduced too much of an out of place feel. He put on a soft voice and feigned all kinds of regret once inside the doors, but the instinct was such a bad one, and many men continued to often drop off from that same spot, while several women idled in 5-minute drop off parking not taken my later entry employees. Other sports program staff (not that employee’s ‘adult’ leagues, I’d have to guess, but any signage from the kid leagues for sports or kids liked) had been so conscientious and development minded. While it’s a good reflection that I was surprised by his pettiness and hypocrisies, it turned out I probably just didn’t know more about the place. Looking back, that pipe is a horrendous oversight, besides other mentions that seem a bit outrageous even nowadays.

They don't clean their court floors, leaving the hardwood surface very slippery amd not ideal for playing sports. It's gotten much worse since they took the rugs out of the lobby. They don't supply enough volleyball to warm up with either. But they managed to implement a "membership fee" for a worse product that has no real benefit except for a discount for their gym no one wants to use. Ceilings still leak too.

Complete chaos! We booked a party here for our daughter and every time I’d try and contact Christian the party coordinator by email or phone, he’d never return my messages! The night before the party we had to call multiple times and leave messages with other people for him to call us back and he never did! There was questions we had about the party that were not disgusted weeks prior if he had answered my emails or phone calls! Also what party host??? She put the table clothes on the tables and then went and hung out with other employees!! Never once asked if we needed anything. I had to go up to her and tell her to do her job and get the extra 20-30 kids out of the play area that were not apart of my party AND way over 10 years old!!! My guest were 5 and 6 years old and there were teenagers mixed in there kicking and hitting them. They were running out of the play area crying to their parents. I did not pay for those kids, I paid for my 15, 5 and 6 year olds which I assumed would be a private party. Oh and also a volley ball team decides to walk in and drop their bags and equipment right in our party area. Right near the gift table. The place was a complete madhouse and just a mess. No management was present, no organization and no communication. Booking a party here was a total mistake. DON’T DO IT!!!

Advice to management: sanitize your dirty facility.

XL Sports: Extra large prices, extra small effort.

Having played hockey here for nearly a decade, I can safely say the conditions of the hockey rink have sunken to pitiful levels that the ownership should be downright embarrassed of. From carpets that are utterly filthy and caked with every sort of food imaginable to the dangerous condition of the playing surface, XL continues to show very little interest in providing a safe place to play. Despite their slogan of “Never Stop Playing,” my most recent game included players slipping all over the rink, putting their passion and even their livelihoods at risk should they suffer an injury that would be easy to envision happening.

I myself twisted my ankle skating into a corner that was greasy and ice-slick, and I crashed into the boards head-first. Players and stakeholders in the hockey program have voiced concerns about the surface before, even being forced to cancel games due to how unplayable it can be, but nothing has been done to show any effort to upkeep the surface.

We are routinely forced to attempt to clean the rink ourself; sweeping sand and dust, scraping off Swedish Fish and various sticky substances, and attempting to address slick spots. Employees are few and far between here, and it shows in the appearance of the whole facility. Despite the decline of the services they are providing their patrons, rental fees have gone up and bogus “membership” fees seem to go towards anything but a vacuum or hiring enough staff to support their attempts to pack camps and multiple sports leagues into their daily schedule of events.

I really want to see this place do well, but I have grown appalled at how little the new owners seem to care since buying from ISC.
As someone who continues to pays thousands of dollars a year to play here across several leagues, please win back my confidence and find ways to show we are valued. Rink surface safety should be an absolute bare minimum responsibility to your customers.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR PARTY HERE
They discovered 2 days before my son’s birthday party that they failed to put my reservation on the calendar (even though i paid a deposit and received a confirmation), and booked someone else at that time. So even though we had booked first, our party was the one which had to be canceled. Apparently they put the reservation on paper, and my paper was lost somewhere before it ended up on their calendar (although they already had my money, they didn’t lose that, weird). When I asked why the second booked party wasn’t the one being canceled, the person on the phone said he was told “not to move that party”. My son almost cried when I told him we weren’t having the fun zone party we’ve been talking about for weeks. And where do I move his party to with 2 days notice???

I 100% agree with Lauren Rowello review of the NFL flag football leagues at XL sports fitness. The coaches do not follow the rules when it comes to flags and require players to cut the belt so it does not appear kids have three flags to pull. They also do not enforce the belt over the shirts and my son was singled out in a game for his flags not being visible, however every other player looked like they had three flags and others had their shirts like my son but were not singled out. Also the so called “referees” do not call the plays as they would in a real game. For example, a player caught the ball then ran behind the line of scrimmage. The flag was pulled when he was behind the line and they called a first down because of where he caught the ball. In last weeks came a player dropped the ball as he attempted to break into the end zone and it was ruled a touchdown and the player did not have possession of the ball. Coaches do not throw to all the players and they are more worried about the score then giving kids the experience of learning the sport. It is a running clock and they take a long time between downs to set plays. This session they packed the teams with 10 plus players and not everyone gets a lot of playing time. The coaches stand around and have conversations with each other and the so called referee's more than the players. The way this is run is and embarrassment to the NFL league that it is associated with. I am extremely disappointed that professionalism is not taken serious with these coaches. I will not be recommending this program to other parents.

Signed our kid up for flag football this winter because our township doesn't offer a league for that season and it's their favorite sport. We were really disappointed. There weren't real practices--just a few minutes to gather before the game sometimes. The coaches rotated which teams they worked with, so the kids didn't have the consistency or stability they needed to trust them as mentors or even get to know each other as teammates. It was also just completely chaotic. A lot of rules are ignored, which is confusing for kids who actually know the game. Flags weren't worn correctly either which makes defense nearly impossible. The kids weren't offered an opportunity to learn more about the game or sharpen skills. That means that for the kids who aren't familiar, you basically just watch them run around panicked and confused for the game. For my kid, who loves this sport, it was a frustrating experience and they didn't even want to finish the season. We did finish anyway because I had hopes that it might improve, but I was wrong. XL Sports is a mess, and we will definitely never return.

Edit 10/21/22: I appreciate the response from XL Fitness. Thank you for clarifying the cleaning process. I know it is important for everyone that enjoys your facility especially during these times. I've added a star to reflect this.

Original 10/14/22: XL Sports World is one of the only facilities in Mt. Laurel with an indoor soccer field and roller hockey rink. This makes it the number one destination for both junior and adult leagues. Further, XL has several children programs, sports camps, and play area/jungle gym.

There is a concession stand, but it closes in the evenings.

XL has a large parking lot that never seems to be overcrowded.

All that aside, XL suffers from two major issues: cleanliness and smell. Whenever we visit for a hockey game, we tend to see the same dirt/smudges/trash on the floor. When do they ever clean up? Add the stale smell of sweaty hockey equipment and you've got a very unpleasant environment.

My daughter went to XL in Mount laurel for her 1st year. She turned 5. She loved it. The counselors all knew who she was. Which I thoughts was great! The Director Lynn even knew her by name. I would definitely recommend and we will be back next summer.

Both of our children had a wonderful experience participating in the winter soccer program. This program truly helped to develop their skills and provide them with contact with the sport during the cold winter months. This program also really helped to build their confidence in the sport. The staff were fantastic and made sure that the drills and activities were focused to each child's level. We will definitely participate in additional programs in the spring and next winter!

This winter our two kids (ages 5 and 7) participated in both sessions with Matt Brooks and his team. We could not have been more pleased with how things went. Matt, Michelle, Tiffany and Brian provided weekly instruction and really took time to get to know our kids and the kids in the program. Their interest was genuine and it was amazing how they seemed to have time to give personal attention to each child during the training sessions.

The games on the weekends were well organized and the coaches just encouraged the kids to play as much as possible. There were weeks where our kids got to play 2-3 games and Matt and the staff built them up even when playing with kids much older.

We could not recommend this more for both game improvement and fun. Both of our kids made leaps with foot skills and simply viewing the game from a better perspective. We will be returning in the offseason once again, as it is great way to stay in game shape, but with a fun atmosphere.

My daughter had the best experience at XL Sports Mt. Laurel playing soccer over the winter. Not only did she learn a lot, but had a great time doing it.. The staff is super friendly, always willing to help, and very knowledgeable about the game. You can tell the entire staff really enjoyed what they did. It was 2 sessions/week. One being skills training, the other using what they learned during an actual game. Can't say enough about Matt and his staff. I'd highly recommend it!! I know my daughter will be back!

XL Sports has transform an under utilized asset into what could be the best indoor winter training facility for soccer in South Jersey. Having Matt Brooks as the head of its soccer program will provide the youth or our area access to a coach who not only teaches technical skills at a high level but makes it fun for all ages. If you are looking to take the next step in your child's soccer evolution than please send them to Matt at XL.

There during the week for a field hockey scrimmage. Good space for the girls to utilize. Spectators could use the picnic style tables surrounding the court. Play place and snack counter not open but I guess that makes sense since it appeared to just be teams practicing that day. I think they have a small practice on the second floor, saw a soccer ball come over the bannister and land on the woman sitting at the table below, spilling her drink too. Changed my seat after seeing that! Everything seemed clean, playplace looked large enough for kiddos to have a good time when open. Did seem to be a tight turn around for court time, girls hadn't even gotten off the court and there where already volleyball nets being set up. Plenty of parking.

Classes are ok. Could be more organized and age appropriate. Today my son was in class with a few other children. One child in particular was coughing all over without covering and had no mask on. Come on parents keep your child home if they’re sick, but also why are the employees not saying anything. The boy was coughing in faces, it’s inappropriate. After the class was done I asked the macho man at the front desk if children were allowed to come into the facility while showing visible signs of sickness. Clearly he got upset at my question because he got very defensive and still never really answered my question. Apparently if I am not a health professional I can’t have an obvious concern. So yes according to the staff, parents can bring their child in with ANY sickness including covid and have no face mask on. All while being around a bunch of children their age who are still too young to be vaccinated. Cool. I was thinking of signing my son up for camp, but clearly they care less about the kids than they do the money. I’ve never seen any equipment sanitized. God forbid I asked about that, I might’ve gotten kicked out.

Extremely rude manager type person who contradicted what previous (much nicer) employees stated. Tried to refuse trial voucher terms, blamed others instead of holding accountability. As a former member who was trying out facility again after numerous owner changes, felt insulted as he was rude to friend I had purchased gift temp voucher for. Not only tried to not honor terms but treated us like inferior people for having voucher. As a member of the community who was bombarded with unsolicited marketing emails from them with their new ownership name all summer, I had called and visited numerous times to confim vouchers (2 purchased from Groupon, one as recently as July 14th AFTER CONFIRMING THE PREVIOUS OWNERSHIP NAME & VOUCHER WOULD BE HONORED,) what terms were, what the use of rooms/ equipment/ classes were, I decided to try gym again because of their changes ...and AFTER avoiding gyms due to covid for 1.5 yrs. As a former daily gyms attendee (even while traveling all over the US for work and around the world personally), this manager was the rudest and most uninviting I have ever encountered. As a former personal trainer with AAFA for over a decade and also an affiliate of sport nutrition and club industry programs, it was shocking to see that this type of management would assume to be the type to expect continuing membership from the public in the future and to be treated like this in my own community. He used every excuse to blame others to control without actually kicking us out of the facility. In addition, I had purchased the second trial membership gift for friend AFTER confirming use of an empty classroom with mirrors as both of us had always used mirrors to check form and posture while doing controlled target cardio moves AND because that room is the only one with boxing bags (which in previous membership I used very often). There were NO SIGNS ON DOOR indicating that membership of any kind was not allowed in room except during classes if the key card allowed members access. Our key cards allowed access (and besides, I had called & in person, asked 3 different times IF room use when empty, and if it did not bother or intrude other members, was still allowed, to which I had been told YES... PRIOR TO TESTING THE TRIAL MEMBERSHIP). We were politely & casually using the room without any additional equipment and both sharing different movement techniques (my friend was a former professional world class ballerina in her youth, and I have been involved in fitness or sports of various types at intensive levels for all of my life, as well as medical type training in my younger years), and not only did he accuse me of training a class but said they did not allow use of rooms except in their classes (then his associate interrupted him to mention some limited use of bags were ok, at which point he ALSO disdainfully stated... they "especially don't allow this to non-members such as us types"). My friend felt unwelcomed and like we were labeled or listed as subclass citizens. (He claimed it was due to covid but note, the room is more than large enough to comply to recommended health official dimensions for holding group classes as well as have ample ventilation, plus it was empty AND we did not even use lights or any other items.) It did in fact feel very prejudiced because of his condescending tone and the entire series of interactions. Most gyms have always been welcoming to me but not this one. Glitzy shiny equipment and fancy toys will never make up for human indecency. Plus as a former trainer I have many techniques from basic body weight form through borrowed from dance, martial arts, free weights, and invitations to plenty of other gym trials and associates with many more options that are more inviting and allows for focus. Regardless of fitness level, positive environments reinforce attendance and commitments to workouts for myself and others. This was definitely an exclusionary type of treatment and not welcome in any type of business or community experience.

Alright so google won't let me delete this review of ISC so guess I gotta Wright something good about this new one. So I have been in ISC as a camper since I was 4 years old. First the one in Cherry Hill then the one in Mt.Laurel. Both were such amazing places and i loved going to them. Also many games like dodgeball, or hunger games, and flag tag. I learned how to skate here and how to play football( My tackle football team now has 2 back to back championships under our belt). The counselors are awesome people. Idk if there still the same people but if you see a guy named Dan(looks like a wrestler wit a beard) tell him Chirs said hi and I could probably tackle him easily. I've made so many friends from ISC and it is the only camp I've ever wanted to go to. I haven't been to this new one but I hope it lives up to the standards that ISC did:).

There is the gigantic jungle gym called “Roo’s Fun Zone”, there are two big bouncy slides, and there is a roller skating rink but renting the skates cost extra of course. I sat in the eating area at a booth and just relaxed while watching them play. The price for them to play also includes a slice of pizza and a drink. I highly recommend it.

This is for out of towners looking for a place play in southern New Jersey. It seems like it's a good place, but I went there for pickleball as an out of towner. The website said there was a meetup group group.
Through the website and a phone call I was led to believe that there was open pickleball on 3 mornings during the week. You didn't have to be part of the meetup to play. I get there on Thur and there were players on the court. One guy said it was a private court and was for advanced players. He was nice in tone about, but the message was we don't want you here. There was only one meetup player so I Ieft.

This place is not very well managed, I'm not surprised as it appears teenagers manage the facility.
Pizza friday sounds great as you can have all the pizza between 6 and 8 which is great but you have to wait in line for 15 to 20 minutes before you can reach the counter to get 1 slice of pizza. This process is not manage efficiently at all. Could it be that once again teenagers run this?
Don't get me wrong great place for the little ones but again but if this place was managed correctly it would get a higher rating and it make it a better experience for the individual.

I have had the opportunity to have both of my girls attend this camp from grades kindergarten until 8th grade. I still have my youngest daughter at camp. She has special needs, Chronic medical problems & food allergies. Each year camp staff at ISC make it there duty to meet the needs of my daughter where I feel safe & comfortable. So as a mental health profession that works with children both behavioral/mental I’m grateful for ISC that my daughter needs are met daily under the supervision of Camp Director Lynne Paririe-Coates. She goes above & beyond to accommodate campers, their families & staff.
All the staff are properly trained each year rather returning or new where parents have the opportunity weeks before camp to talk & meet staff.

There are a lot of restrictions for parents especially given the fact that they allow younger toddlers in all of the areas. As a parent, you would like to help your child when they get stuck inside the play areas but they aren't allowed. Ideally, this would be fine if their staff were kid friendly, but that isn't the case. They were quick to yell at even a 2 year old who clearly was frightened.

Rather than say what's nice about it here is why they lost one star. Everything is an add on, skate buddies, parent rental, For the price we paid for a large group (40) people certain areas were lacking such as the quality of the roller blades I rented a set and could not skate for more then 15 minutes before my feet started hurting. Incredibly low quality and uncomfortable. The pizza taste was decent but the quality did not reflect the high price. But the children did enjoy themselves and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
