I’ve been training at this CrossFit gym for a year now, and it’s been an amazing journey! I was initially hesitant to join because of a previous herniated disc, but the coaches here are incredible — very knowledgeable, motivating, and always focused on proper technique and safety.
Over the past year, my health and fitness have improved dramatically — my hemoglobin A1c dropped from 6.2 to 5.6, and my total cholesterol came down from 203 to 174! I’ve gained so much strength, stamina, and confidence thanks to their guidance.
Huge shoutout to all the awesome coaches for their support and encouragement every step of the way. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to get stronger, healthier, and be part of an amazing community!

I attend the group classes during the weekdays and also take private instruction
from Justin once a week which is outstanding as we work on specific exercises to address certain of my mobility issues. These exercises seem so important for people of all ages that I now have my husband attending. Our kids are also big fans of CrossFit Nassau. I feel as the years go on it is evermore important. Thinking that if you are used to box jumps one is certainly going to be able to handle any challenges that appear during the icy winter months and easily recover from slip and falls.

There are so many positives to this place. I love how the do a great job with the workout to build muscles and burn calories. Lots of intense but fun workouts that you do at your own pace. Also classes throughout the day. So whether you are a morning, midday or evening person, there is a clsss for you!! The trainers are super cool too especially Paul, Sarah and Phil.

Joined CrossFit a few weeks back and found to be truly transformational fitness program I have come across so far! All classes offered throughout week focus on various different work outs. I’ve been coming back to CrossFit Nassau since November 2024, and in that time, I’ve seen more overall improvement — both physically and mentally — than in any previous fitness commitment I’ve made.
Justin and his team have created something really special here. The coaching is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely encouraging. They meet you where you’re at, push you when you need it, and keep consistency front and center without ever making it feel like a chore.

As someone with a major physical disability, had trepidation about trying CrossFit for the first time, but Justin (and his coaches) were very welcoming. Justin thought hard about how to adapt the movements and scale the workouts for me and made extra time to work with me to do this, to the extent that I was able to participate in the regular classes. I frequented this gym for over a year during the time I lived in Princeton. It was a great experience all around: the gym has a fun and welcoming community, great programming, exceptional coaches, and challenging yet inclusive classes. I was able to meet (and even exceed) my fitness goals while feeling supported and cheered on by my fellow athletes and coaches. It is such a loss to leave the area and have to find a new gym! This is a world-class training facility with a community feel. The coaches are fantastic at curating an inclusive but challenging CrossFit experience for all levels. For every exercise, even the most challenging ones, modifications are offered to suit all skill levels. The coaches really get to know you and you are on first name basis after just a couple of classes.
Apart from the training the gym also conducts several special social events outside of just the classes including “hero WODs”, holiday parties, competitions, and host fitness/nutrition related seminars.
If you live in the Princeton area this is the gym for you!

I've worked out at many places over the years and this ranks top of my list. The workouts are well thought out, the trainers are positive and also in shape (which to me matters). My core has gotten much stronger. Hence, I am sleeping much better. My lower back used to ache and wake me up at night, but not anymore after several weeks of workouts. This was a surprise benefit.
I actually look forward to attending these classes vs dreading going to a regular gym in the past. It's much more fun and exciting in my opinion.
I would recommend Crossfit Nassau for all fitness levels.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed taking classes at this gym. All of the coaches are so welcoming and offer helpful feedback. I appreciate the emphasis on form and quality over just hitting a PR for the sake of it. The workouts are well-thought-out and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in strength and definition. I could feel an improvement in my form and have gotten insightful tips/critiques that I hadn’t gotten before. The gym is organized and well-equipped and you do get what you pay for. Special shout out to Bryce’s Olympic weight lifting class if you want to see your progress in action and get lots of 1:1 time for feedback about your lifts. Transformative workouts and incredible coaching! I've been a member of CrossFit Nassau for about three months now, and it has been a fantastic experience. From day one, the coaches have been incredibly supportive, providing personalized feedback and pushing me to improve every time I go for a workout. A special shoutout to Bryce, who leads the weightlifting class every Wednesday; his guidance on Olympic lifts has been invaluable. All the coaches are great too — Sara, Phil, Oliver, and Paul (plus others whom I haven't met). I feel my skills have improved tremendously thanks to their expertise.
The programming here is top-notch, with Sara doing an incredible job putting together varied and challenging workouts that keep me motivated and coming back for more. The community is welcoming and motivating, which makes such a difference in the whole experience.

I highly recommend this gym! I started here with no prior experience in CrossFit/weight training- and I wanted to try something new that’s out of my comfort zone. I currently do one-on-one training sessions with the trainers to correctly learn techniques and exercises before doing them on my own. Great spot conveniently located on Route 1. The coaches and classes are top notch, and the community is supportive. The programming is the perfect amount of strength, conditioning, and skill work. Members have a range of fitness goals, and the workouts accommodate that well.
While I already have a primary gym, Justin (the owner) worked with me to purchase a punch card so I could drop in on days I needed to be in early for work. He was flexible and friendly, even extending my pass when I unexpectedly had to be away from the area for an extended time. Thank you, Justin!

I am a past member (we moved, otherwise we would still be members) but had been going to the gym for about 2 years and I cannot fully express how exceptional this gym is. We joined on recommendation from some friends (former members) who sang CrossFit Nassau's praises and they were not wrong! As a CrossFit novice, I was very intimidated to join, there are a lot of acronyms and equipment, and everything is heavy! But the owner, Justin, and all of the coaches are kind, knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive. Everyone can participate because the workouts are all scalable to your current level. The coaches are friendly, nonjudgmental, and will help make adjustments if you have an injury or need any special accommodation, meaning no one is left out. The members are also friendly and encouraging--everyone wants to see each other succeed and workout safely. There is a wide range of CrossFit experience levels in the classes so you can always find a partner at your level and be inspired by the people that are more advanced. During our membership time we had some extended travel periods and we appreciated the ability to pause our memberships if we were out of town for a month or two. They gym is also a fun community and they even hold events and parties every few months. There is no better place to get a full body workout and a functional fitness plan/regime!

I've been doing Crossfit for nearly seven years, and about 6 months ago, I switched to Crossfit Nassau. Initially uncertain about what to expect, I was quickly impressed and now absolutely adore it. The daily programming at CFN is diverse and consistently challenging, with a strong emphasis on gymnastics, strength, and skill development, while TRULY prioritizing proper form and technique. The coaching team is outstanding! Each and every coach has a unique style, but a great one and are all super friendly and passionate about what they do! They are all incredibly attentive, consistent, and really connect with every member by asking the right questions (past injuries, challenges, scaling options) Through their coaching, my technique and form, especially in lifting, has already improved in a short time. I have more work to do, but feel great that it's consistent improvement.
The gym's location is incredibly convenient right on Rt. 1.I love that it's spacious, clean, has well maintained equipment (and plenty of it) and well-organized facilities. The classes are spaced apart so there is no rushing and plenty of time to arrive early to stretch and cool down after class. Owner Justin Doran's dedication to Crossfit and his professionalism are evident through every part of his gym's operation. It's the place to come to if you’re serious about your workout. The trainers are immaculate and have a plethora of knowledge to share. I wasn't aware of the clear form and technique of weightlifting, pull ups and another workout.

Past member. I have moved and that is the only reason I’m not longer going to CrossFit Nassau, but I still compare CrossFit Nassau to every other CrossFit gym I go to. The class formats are awesome, the gym is always so clean, the owner is passionate and caring, and really gives it his all. The environment is friendly and inclusive and welcoming to new members. The equipment is not rusty nor creaky. The classes are designed so everyone in the class can get a good workout regardless of fit/experience.

This is the best gym I have ever been a part of, hands down. I was living in Princeton for a semester and joined Nassau with six months of CrossFit experience. After my time here, I think I will forever be disappointed by other gyms. The coaches are all outstanding, from the way they explain the technique, to how they break down the strategy to approach the WOD, to their good humor, even at 7:00 AM. They are experts at instructing all levels and helping each individual find their scaled option. The facilities are pristine, with more than enough equipment for everyone, including bikes and rowing machines, and even whiteboards to keep track of your progress during class. This is all topped off by the welcoming community, who always have a clever answer for the Question of the Day. Even if you have never done CrossFit, this gym is worth the try.

I can't recommend CrossFit Nassau enough. I was a regular a few years ago when I first moved to Princeton, and though I took a hiatus away, I joined the gym again as soon as I moved back eventhough I had stopped my crossfit routine. Why? Because CFN is a one of a kind place with an amazing workout model. My experience is that CFN is a place to get strong, develop confidence, make new friends (there's a name/QA game at the start of every class!) and develop skills. I love the coaches - they are truly all fantastic. Justin, Phil, and Daisy all ensure you have a positive experience by teaching the movements, giving scaling options, and coordinating things so you feel you know what you're doing and can complete the workout every time. The community is also incredible. CFN is the place "where everybody knows your name"! Let me start by saying I was always very intimidated to try Crossfit because I didn't believe I was fit enough. However, all of the coaches here have assured me (and still do) that all of the movements are tailored to everyone's needs in a safe and efficient way. Safety is first here, and that is something I appreciate!
I also love the strong sense of community this place has to offer. All of the members have been so kind, helpful, non-judgmental, and friendly; it really is a great atmosphere to be in. For me, its a home away from home, a place I can go to let go, focus on me and what's important to me.

I have been a member here for a little over two years, and have loved it since joining. Like the other reviews say, the coaches are amazing and motivating, and emphasize safety and quality of movement.
I'd also like to add that you shouldn't be intimidated about joining even if you're not athletic - this was the case for me! When I joined, I did their required on ramp program for about a month, which teaches you the movements and provides a scaled down workout (but still an intense one - I can still remember how sore I was from my first class, which was just squatting with no added weight). Since then, I've added tremendously to my strength and endurance, while losing 20 pounds.
Lastly, the community is great, and there are numerous get togethers throughout the year, both inside and outside the gym.

I began my Crossfit career at CFN about 2 years ago. I was quickly welcomed into the community and felt constantly challenged and incredibly supported by the coaching staff and fellow athletes. The Crossfit style of workout was very new intimidating but I was taught to move safely and effectively through the comprehensive on-ramp program and then confidently graduated into class. There is a lot of thought put into the programming – and workouts are scaled to athlete’s abilities – so everyone regardless of experience is rightfully challenged.
I have since moved to NYC where I Crossfit regularly at a different gym full time, but drop in at my “home” gym CFN regularly when I am visiting home. There are always friendly faces to welcome me back, and insightful and accommodating coaches who pick up with me where we left off in terms of programming. Outside of dropping into class I often use the Open Gym space where there are several platforms to do my own thing. There’s always someone around to offer tips, pointers, and to spot me when I need it. I’m always grateful for the CFN community – it’s incredibly unique and makes CFN a truly special place to attend regularly or to drop into for a day!

I have been a member of Crossfit Nassau for more than 3 years. When I travel, I drop in to other Crossfits and I have yet to find one as good as my home gym. All of the coaches are knowledgeable and approachable. Safety is very important and the coaches are always willing (and helpful) to scale a workout if needed due to an injury or inability to perform a movement correctly. If you are thinking about trying Crossfit, you won't be disappointed at Crossfit Nassau. If you are dropping in- the members are very friendly and you'll get a great workout. I love this place.

After starting school at Princeton I needed a place to train and I was so very lucky to have found Crossfit Nassau. The coaches are kind, funny and always encouraging you to push your limits and go beyond what you even think is achievable. Their schedule makes it easy for you to get a workout in at any time during the day. I was so happy to see how well it worked with my class schedule. The people there make for a great community where everyone is pushed by each other's positivity and perseverance. All in all, one need not look any further for a gym that suits all of your fitness needs.

I've been a member of CFN for 2 years, and I am totally hooked. The members are all really friendly and supportive, and the coaches and incredibly talented and knowledgeable. I have always been really intimidated to work out in front of other people, and because I travel so often I am constantly dropping in to other boxes across the world. I can say without a doubt that CFN is the best box I have ever been to. Whether you are a seasoned athlete looking for a new challenge, or you have never done a sit up in your like, THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. I can't stress that enough. Every day, the coaches review each movement so that you are constantly learning new tips and tricks, and they also work with each member to make sure that you can complete each workout within your capabilities.

I joined Crossfit Nassau a year and a half ago and all I can say is that I will never go to another non-crossfit gym again. I was previously a member at another local gym, and just felt like a number. No one knew who I was or cared to know who I was. I discovered CFN through a Living Social deal, and after just one class I was hooked. After only a week of going to the gym, all of the coaches knew my name, and I met so many great people with similar interests. CFN is like a second family to me. Every one of the coaches cares about you and helps you to reach your goals. I might not be the best at everything, but I never feel embarrassed of that because everyone is so supportive of each other. The programming is great and offers good variety. During classes, coaches walk around checking your form and offer suggestions to correct problem areas. If you ever wanted to try crossfit out, I highly recommend Crossfit Nassau. They even offer a free teaser class on Saturday, so there's no reason not to drop in!

I absolutely LOVE CrossFit Nassau! I was very nervous joining CrossFit for the first time about a year ago, but I have never been greeted by so many welcoming, kind and motivating members. The coaches are so knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. They will answer any and all of your questions, as well as help you with proper form, or if you're not feeling your best. The programming is also varied and can be tailored to your level. The coaches will help you with that as well!
There are three different CrossFit gyms in my hometown however I continue to take the drive to CrossFit Nassau because of the community at the gym. I don't plan on switching gyms unless I move to another state. If you're looking for a gym with amazing members, coaches and a positive, infectious atmosphere, then CrossFit Nassau is for you.

I trained at CrossFit Nassau for about a year. It started off great and continued to get better throughout the time I was there. Unfortunately, I had to move and can no longer continue to train there. Now that I've been to other locations, the following is even more clear to me: the equipment is top notch, the programming is creative and fun, and most importantly, the community is amazing. I actually looked forward to coming to work out. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and personable. In my time at Crossfit Nassau, I got a lot stronger and faster, and made some great friends. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a box in Mercer County. Stop by for the free teaser class and see just how much you could come to enjoy it too.
As an aside: to anyone comparing it to a LAFitness or anything like that (in terms of price), CrossFit is obviously more expensive. But it really isn't like a regular gym membership where you just get access to the equipment. It's more like semi-personal training, where certified coaches work with you in groups to teach you not only the movements, but also how to get the most out of your body in terms of mobility and diet as well.

I worked out at Crossfit Nassau for a year and a half (unfortunately I had to stop a few months ago when I moved back to MA) and it was great - the coaches were awesome and did a great job of challenging everyone but at the same time making everyone feel welcome. It has grown a lot over the past year or so which has made it even better equipped and the community is very warm and welcoming. If you want to make big improvements in your strength/conditioning and have fun at the same time, definitely join!

I've been coming to this Box for about a year and a half and I've witnessed dramatic changes, all for better. While the coaches and members still maintain high levels of motivation and encouragement, they've shaken off the stigma of "cultish" attitudes and unsafe practices. The coaches work hard to make sure that members are exercising within their skill levels and spend the time going over proper form. Every member that sticks around is friendly, supportive, and striving hard to better themselves. The more you go, the more this place feels like a family. Come with an open mind, ready to push yourself, and come grab a beer with us!
