Strive gym is more of a county club than a just a gym. People know each other here and theyβre comfortable with that. Plenty of the same great faces and everyone is very nice. The atmosphere pulls you in and you have no choice but to think Iβm not just a member, but you feel like a family member.

A wonderful experience being a member at Strive. The whole staff is not only kind and courteous but they are fun to interact with. One of my favorite things about this gym is their sauna! Absolutely the best Iβve witnessed regarding the temperature. Many people complain about many sauna rooms never being hot enough, but this Gym has a sauna that is nice and toasty. Great experience over all.

I've been coming to Strive since I moved to the North Jersey area in 2017. The gym isn't the closest to my home (it used to be convenient to my office but I'm mostly remote post pandemic) but it's literally the best reason for me to leave the house ... not only do I never wait for equipment, I usually grab dinner or a juice at their amazing juice bar. The employees are always super friendly and attentive (my favorite is that little nugget Cash!!) and the facility is always super clean. Highly recommend ... 5 stars.

Been coming to this gym before it was even called Strive. After reading some reviews about strive , and having my own experiences, not every gym is perfect. You will always find a problem no matter what gym you go to. That being said Strive is one of the cleaniest and most organized gyms I ever been to....constantly has their workers cleaning the gym thru out the day. You will never see a peice of equipment just laying on the floor....bathrooms are very clean....tons of machines to use ...big cardio space...friendly atmosphere. Workers always great you when you walk in...I will highly recommend this gym to anyone!

i've been going to the gym for almost two years now and from what ive experienced, ive always been pleased. the juice bar always serves amazing fresh food and all the management are honestly so sweet. they show a lot of concern for their customers and they are easy to talk to. they always welcome you and say goodbye with a smile asking how your day was, or make good conversation that will make you laugh. you never have to fight over equipment or worry about not having any room to workout because its very spacious and clean. from what ive experienced ive never been rushed here, or felt bothered by anyone. the people here make you feel like youve known them ages, and give a "family like" attitude. the sauna here is just the cherry on top because there is so much to do here. the spin classes and other things offered always make sure you get a good workout in. the weekends arent to busy so you can unwind without as many people and its just overall an amazing environment. if i had to choose a gym from every one offered in bergen county this would definitely be my top choice.

I started going to the gym in May of 2022. At first I was super nervous because I had never been in a gym environment other than my old and rusty high school gym, but when I signed up to start working out here I was not only welcomed into a clean environment but a family. The people who work at the front desk are extremely thoughtful, and help with whatever you need. The equipment and locker room has always been clean, and I've never really had any complaints. It's an extremely good gym for the price, and the people make it feel like a community. You might walk in not knowing a single person, but by a month you'll have new friends, and a good place to unwind and workout.

Iβve been going to this since I think I was 19 or 20 years old so itβs been awhile and Iβve canceled my membership prior to this incident with 0 issues even a week before and was never charged. 9 years later I move far from the gym so there is no reason for me to have this membership because itβs completely out of my way. I did the right thing and cancelled said my goodbye and it was sad to go because despite some of the employees I was not a fan of do to past rudeness. And here we are now canceling my membership with more than enough time. And I wake up this morning to a charge from them for another month when I literally do not live anywhere near there. And when I ask for my money back they want to give me a hard time? And I decided to use the power of social media and what do I get? They blocked me because of course who wants bad publicity with a high following? Regardless if it was a dollar a penny whatever it is. Itβs the principle of it and the unprofessionalism this left me is really disappointing. I am never one to ever bash a business, but when you do bad business and provide ridiculous customer service and charge someone a membership when youβre no longer there is insane to me. As long as you guys get paid right? This is how you treat your members of many years when they decide to part ways? I want my damn money back and Iβll ensure my friends depart from this gym cause no one wants to be a pert of a business that does not reason or understand where the customer is coming from. A shame and a disgrace of ownership. Watch them delete my google review like they did on Instagram. Messed with the wrong one

GREAT MOTIVATION. You definitely get what you put in. The staff out extremely interactive and help where they can so you can get the maximum out of your workout. Thereβs never a push to do it all from start to finish but encouragement to make it to the end. The crowd here is super helpful and make good team mates. They are a little unclear about your membership, especially when canceling although it is in B&W.

I had been a member of Strive for many years (think since 2017, if not earlier) until May 5, 2021 and I will tell you why. Aside from the fact that they decided to double their monthly membership right after COVID restrictions allowed them to open, on May 5th I slipped down the stairs to no fault of my own. I had complained at least a handful of times of the solution they were using to clean the gym and they claimed it was because they were taking extra precautions because of COVID. However, the solution made all surfaces slick, including but not limited to, the machines, the floor, and the stairs (that I had slipped on and had no grip tape).
The day I fell, I filed a complaint with the front desk and canceled my membership. When I filed the complaint they encouraged me to go get a physical evaluation and said that they have insurance coverage and could share that information with me so that I could submit my expenses to their insurance company. It's been nearly two years since my injury. I have spent more than $3K on treatments from physical therapy, the chiropractor and acupuncturist. I also have waited for nearly 2 years to get an initial call asking me if I was ok. I have called several times following up on their management team to get their insurance information to submit my expenses and NOTHING.
You might ask why I don't take legal action? I explored the option and while I luckily didn't break anything, my injury was muscle tissue/nerve related and not enough to receive any sort of compensation as advised by two lawyers. Unlucky for me, ever after over a year of treatments I still have limitations and pain sitting at my desk (I work a 9 to 5 job), decorating my cakes and cookies (which I do as a side gig), and even working out (which I was a very active individual). I now have a chronic muscle spasm which limits many parts of my day and ulnar nerve entrapment which flares up every few months. The management and owners of Strive could care less for the well being for their members. They also have a physical therapy business attached to their gym and could have offered to pay for my treatment, they couldn't care to call, give me a call back and or even ask.
I hope everyone contemplating joining this gym sees this review and heeds my advice. I'm willing to retract this if they offered to cover my medical expenses and my time and suffering that is still ongoing.

Came in for the free trial, left with only hard ball sales tactics to try to scare me into signing the dotted line.
It was almost comical how they insisted that a graduate researcher who just moved to the area cannot be interested in a gym membership. The free trial advertised on the website and activated by email apparently does not apply to me and that I would have to sign up today to be eligible for a free month (no prior disclaimer). Who knows how many others the trial does not apply to??
If I were Strive I would be very careful about the phrasing of email communications and disclaimers. I do not think it is a good business practice to mislead potential clients.
I am looking forward to the many years of emails and calls from them so that I may discuss my experience further.

Update: while I still reminisce about the sauna and the welcoming environment Strive once was. I canceled my membership about August of 2020 due to poor handling of its committed members and poor communication of inflated monthly membership fees while the gym was not operational. It's so sad that a place I loved turned out to become a place that left a bitter taste. π
Love love love this gym, been trying various gyms for almost 2 years then I found Strive on instagram. I was so blown away by Cindy's energy over the phone, I signed up without visiting the facility. I have yet to regret joining. It's a month later and everyday I am so happy I joined. Great staff, great energy, love the cafΓ© on site providing fresh juice. The gym is maintained very well, bathrooms, lockers and showers always clean. Equipments always clean and plenty of equipment and machines. You are open to go into an empty studio and do your own thing or participate in classes. Love Strive I recommend if you are looking for a gym to call home, definitely give Strive a shot.

Very unprofessional business establishment, I have been a member at this gym since 2011-2014 and came back 2017 till this year. I was mistreated, labeled as a disturbance as well as Being targeted for my ethnical background and religion from the owners older daughter. Not too mention, jealousy got the best of this owners daughter due to the fact I brought my wife once at what I thought was a home away from home gym, my wife regretted even coming with me to this gym that has a disrespectful staff. Itβs not worth the 53 a month membership, not only is the floors horribly dangerous and is a violation of safety, the equipment as well is poorly maintained as I once had a piece of metal from the Barbell in my finger like a splinter, I told staff and was ignored with no concern of their own equipment. Lastly I will say this as being a part of what I thought was like a community type owned gym, these people that own this gym have no intentions to put the gym members at their best interest, rather more the money. Donβt bother for anyone planning to join strive, save your money and go elsewhere, where your money will bring you value as a member at another gym!

These people are literally thieves. They upped the price without giving members forewarning. It went up by almost $30. They are extremely unprofessional. I received an email for their go fund me page during the pandemic but nothing about a price increase.
Everyone is struggling during this pandemic, why raise the price on your supporters. I was not in a contract and they increased the gym price. They also increased the gym price for those in memberships/ contracts. These people are extremely unprofessional and are punishing people who support their gym. Iβm extremely disappointed with them. This place is on the verge of closure and I will find joy in it when their doors are closed.

If you want to go to a good gym, STAY AWAY FROM STRIVE. Maybe a change of management would be beneficial to your company, they did not want to except the fact that there is no need for a membership fee to charge their customers when the gym was closed due to the Covid pandemic. I disputed it and they threaten me with lawyers, and thatβs OK but the way that they handled the situation in the way that they spoke to their customers is completely unprofessional they need to go back to school and maybe take a management course or a customer service course for their own sake. I want to go cancel my membership and they charge me $139 when all they owed was $31 for the last month off membership to me the monies not the issue but itβs more of the principle

I would never recommend this gym to anyone. Itβs not worth the money to join, originally the membership was $30 but because of covid-19 they jacked up the price to over $50 a month. I understand the situation but raising the membership like they did with no notice was just wrong. When I canceled they did not advise me I would still get charged an additional months membership. The TVs on the machine never worked, machines didnβt work properly, and so much more. I have always supported family owned businesses but I would highly recommend going to a gym franchise and saving yourself the money and not wasting your time. I was a member at this gym for over 10 years and I will never go back. Especially after talking on the phone with one their associates and them hanging up on me mid conversation. They only care about the money.

So disappointed with the unprofessionalism of the management. Without any notice of reopening, they slyly charged my debit card for the monthly fee of $33 in September. In October, they increased their fee without notifying me and charged me $53. I went to cancel my membership on Nov. 2 in person and I had to fill out a simple form. But..not without the front desk person reminding me that since i didn't give 30 days notice (it was 29) i would still be charged $53 for December. I decided not to get upset and I'm just happy to be done with their scam.
I understand that times are very tough for most of us, but this is no way to treat your loyal customers or anyone for that matter.

Worst gym! Terrible management. The equipment has been broken for over a year that I've had my membership. Now that my contract is over I call to cancel and they are asking for medical documentation, even though I am month to month with no contract. Its ridiculous. The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude and hung up on me. The desperation to retain customers is real with this place, in a month they've raised their rates and will argue with anyone trying to cancel.

Updated post: Post was updated due to changes. Music has gotten much better itβs more of todayβs hits and music for the younger crowd which is great cause it gives more hype and motivation to work out. Very family feeling environment, after being being for almost 4 years I feel at home and know everyone who goes here. The owners are friendly and the employees especially the maintenance team are great and always happy. The gym is kept very clean which is a huge plus and also with the wall knocked down there is way more space. The $50 price per month is a bit high but is worth it for the cleanliness and the amount of equipment. You donβt have to fight for a machine lol. I wish the equipment would be updated to newer and better equipment but Iβm sure down the road that will happen.

This gym looks totally different from the inside than outside. It is meticulously clean and nicely laid out, and much bigger than I expected. There are 3-4 studios for spin, martial arts, yoga, and other HIIT training to all occur simultaneously. I got a one-month free pass to help my mom start exercising, and she signed up for a membership for $30/month with a one-year commitment. It is less than 2 miles from our house so the location is ideal. I think this will be a great place for her; I would sign up as well but I have another membership in Paramus

I RECENTLY CANCELLED MY HUSBANDS MEMBERSHIP DUE TO THE WAY THAT THEY RAN THE GYM AND THEY BEGAN TO CALL AND TELL HIS FAMILY MEMBERS THAT HE OWED A DEBT AND THEN THREATENED TO SEND HIM TO COLLECTIONS. THEY THEN CONTINUOUSLY CALLED HIS PHONE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND ALSO HIRING AN ATTORNEY IF THE HARRASMENT DOES NOT END.

I signed up to do the month trial here a week ago. Today I came in the gym ready to give my trial code and the manager stopped me saying "hey you?". I stopped and said yes. She said " yesterday you came here signed up as yessica something (can't remember the last name). She then turned the computer monitor to me which displayed the picture of me they took when I signed up for the trial as well as that fake name Yessica. She then said I need to have a credit card on file and need to sign up today. Although the option to register for the trial can be done online I had them do it for me in person. I also didn't even go the day she said I did, I went the day before that. These people are liars definitely would never sign up here. As if I'm petty enough to lie about my name and use a female name for a gym trial. Pathetic crooks would literally go that low to have someone sign up. What's funny is she said the accusation and then kept going on and on about prices and said I need to give my credit card. If someone really did that, then the manager should probably not be looking to sign them up.

The best place to do exercise, it has 98% of what you need in a gym .. they have enough cardio machines, classes that you will enjoy such as cycling, kickboxing , yoga and for those who loves zumba here you have it as well ..ππ

Strive has been my gym for a long time, before I became a member I would go as a guest all the time with my at the time boyfriend, who is now my husband and we go together a lot. The classes are amazing, along with the instructors and people who take the classes. The people who work out here feel like extended family, same goes for the entire staff. They have something called biofit lab which is a 30 minute boot camp during the week, which is nice to have besides all of the up to date equipment and machines, super clean also and they make the best juices and shakes to top off a great workout. Reasonably priced on top of everything.

I went to train at this gym about a year ago and loved it, I was already a member of 24 HR in heights.... I loved this gym so much I wanted to join, however 24 HR location is very convenient : however, I never forgot it and recommend it to many friends, the place is family owned and there was a very respectful lady at the front and I liked her... Long story short, sorry I have a personal friend who wants the start training with me I am an NASM certified trainer and npc bodybuilder, so I thought Strive is perfect!!!!! I was so happy to go, we get there to visit and no one was at the front desk it was busy, mind you we were wearing business suits and so we strolled in just to look.... When I was approached by a boy who though he was a man and he bararaged me with stupidity as if I was going to steal something then told me next time be a man and stop by the front desk and wait..... Now I got shoes as old as this young man if that's what you want to call him. But the disrespect he came across with was so unbelievable there was no question as to weather or not we were going to join.... .very unprofessional to say the least, we just walked out......

I first heard of Strive after signing up for a "free month" deal. I sat down with Weiss who was very sweet and understanding. He had told me that I will be paying 30 bucks for the month of October (student discount) and then will receive the month of November for free. WELL THAT WAS A LIE. I got charged 35 dollars in November for an "annual maintenance fee" when I've only been a member for one month. To make matters worse, their yoga room would consistently have puddles of water on the floor which I WOULD CLEAN MYSELF. Their equipment is obviously old (do not believe otherwise) and they don't even carry 12.5 weights which are perfect for my size. Wess did tell me that I can cancel on Nov 29th and would not be charged for December. WELL THAT WAS ANOTHER LIE. These people are robbers and complete liers. I was interested in paying 30 bucks for 2 months but instead, I have paid over 95 dollars. I tried to speak to the owner about this to possibly meet in the middle and that did NOT happen. This owner said that I should be more accepting of my unnecessary charges because I do yoga? she also said that I'm being irrational and even tried to call the police. I literally had to record her on my phone just in case things went south so my lawyers knew that this woman was out of her mind. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, PLEASE STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL GET ROBBED

Nothing special, no customer loyalty. Not sure why people thing it is affordable .There is so much competition out there i.e. LA fitness offers even less price with nice classes included yoga as low $25/month. Strive always offering free month because they do not value their customer loyalty and people leave this place.Young girls are so nosey .I like to have my privacy when I go for my work out to reduce stress. This gym increases your stress. Big no to join.

Been coming here all summer long and I canβt think of a better gym to go to. This is my first gym but all the equipment is kept clean and always usable. Extremely friendly environment and not hostile at all. Also the the juice bar is really good. Forget all other gyms and join this one!

Wasnt a big fan of the facility in all honesty. The equipment is outdated and used. There is usually always a machine under maintenance. The way the gym handles things is not very customer friendly and I get a feel that its out to make as much as it can. I get at least 5-6 emails a day from them regarding new membership deals and prices and its just extremely unprofessional. The only decent thing is the sauna and its only electronic and sometimes not as hot as you would like. I do not recommend.

I joined Strive Fitness in June of 2014. Almost two years later, I am glad that I picked it rather than any other gym in 10 mile radius of Saddle Brook, NJ. By far, it has the best staff (too many to name & itβs not right without permission) of any fitness center I have ever joined in my life. They are so inviting and always wishing you to have a great workout. Is that not a great way to begin your gym routines? The facility is constantly upgrading with new equipment.
