The gym is great. But the organizers do not turn the A/C on. It is very humid and uncomfortable for spectators. The athletes suffer even more. Not sure what the deal is with the A/C. If the A/C worked, I'd rate this place a 4 star venue.

The facility could be bigger. Let's be HONEST, for the amount of money parents pay ($45 for 2 days not including tax), there is hardly parking, or seating, you have to squeeze by courts to get to the court your child is playing on, and 1 bathroom with 3 stalls for women.
The competition is always great and the people that work there are nice!

Played here for a few years now and each time it gets worse. The lady at the door is the rudest, nastiest, unprofessional I’ve ever had to encounter when dealing with CHILDREN! The concession stand is OVER PRICED and the ppl that work it, can’t count! The building is run down and poorly kept up!
The bathrooms are DISGUSTING!!!! No one checks them throughout the day. The court floors are slippery.. trash is every where! And last but not least, the referees!! Idk if I blame hoop group or the commission but either way, THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!!! I’ve never seen such poorly called games! Each time they say, “we don’t care who win” which is obviously a lie when clear and obvious fouls aren’t called! They’ll call it in one end, the same exact thing happens on the other and no foul… and you expect kids to keep playing while getting beat up and parents to sit idle and not say a word while refs who are getting PAID to ref a game FAIRLY, ARE NOT?!?! Was there recently for a tournament and was quite disgusted when it was all over… so yea, I blame Hoop Group for not properly vetting the refs they hire to come interact with these athletes! Your life has to be pretty meaningless when you take a paying job and CHEAT KIDS….

Terrible! Lady at the front door is just nasty. Charge an absurd amount of money to come in and watch your child play. The place is filthy and falling apart. Hole in the walkway under the mat going towards the door, almost twisted my ankle.

They offer 4 quarts to play and a nice snack stand which you don’t usually find in some of the other spots. It is a bit hectic as you get in and difficult to really sit and enjoy the games because there’s not much seating available. The front people that tried to collect the money are a bit ridiculous. I simply needed to go use the bathroom and they were basically harassing me. There is plenty of parking and the space is well air conditioned to enjoy the games. Also not sure why they charge $50 for a T-shirt of for their venue. I can’t see anyone wanted to spend 50 bucks on a cheap T-shirt.

Hoop group is.....well.....it's a good idea and serves its purpose.

In my opinion, the place is too small to hold huge tournaments. I know it's a warehouse, but I feel like maybe an end unit would have been better, idk.

The bathrooms are poorly located and in desperate need of some upgrading! I made a comment to someone in the ladies' room about the bathrooms and the amount of money we spend to go to Hoop Group. A woman who was working the snack bar seemed to be offended that I had an opinion about the location and condition of the ladies' room.

The snack bar has overpriced garbage food that isn't necessary.

Like I said, it's a good idea. It serves its purpose.

This was my first experience at a tournament run by this organization and I was not impressed. I am used to Zero Gravity, which isn't great either but in comparison is much better. The Jam Fest held in October was 2 games with a "championship" game on Sunday. The second game was at 830pm at night for a fifth grade team, which is absurd. The referees were not calling clear, blatant fouls in order to get the game over with and go home, which is the problem when the hosting organization fails to secure enough court space and has to schedule games going to close to midnight. To top it off, a weekend entry ticket was $50 per person, which makes Zero Gravity look like a bargain. All of the parents felt this way and we will do everything we can so that our team never participates in a tournament run by this organization again.

My son has worked with Coach Cooper and the HoopGroup team for 3 years now! Program is fantastic, coaches are highly skilled and great with both boys and girls. If you want to get better at basketball - there is no better program in NJ!

I highly recommend the Skills and Drills Basketball Camp with Coach Devin Cooper! This camp is an excellent learning environment for athletes of all ages. Coach Devin and the other coaches are extremely knowledgeable, engaged, and energetic. My son loves going where he can focus on his shooting and ball handling and put it all into practice at the end of camp each day while playing games.

This tournament doesn’t seem to be ethical. Beware, they charged our team for 3 games and only game is 2 games on Sunday. The parents paid for a 50 dollar weekend pass thinking we’d have a game on Sunday and we weren’t given a gave and if you try contacting them they don’t answer and avoid you at all cost. I’ve sent emails, text messages, and even phone calls and no one has responded.

We were there for a tournament today. We drove 45 minutes and were charged $25 only to be told our game was canceled. They refused to refund our money. They are way too expensive to just push kids away who are excited to play. The owner needs to refund our whole team our money for our time and disappointment. You need to be more organized if you want to charge that much. And stop requiring parents to work the scoreboard after paying to get in. Very disappointed kids and parents

Beware of this place. We were at a tournament this past weekend, and in the 10 years we have been doing travel basketball, NEVER have we had a situation like this.
Our kids were playing their 3rd game on the second day. For the kids ,the outcome of this game was a decider of if they payed the championship or not. Halfway through the first half both teams were informed that there would be no second half . After much protest and uproar they were given a 10 minute second half. During this second half the clock NEVER stopped.... and when the game ended in a tie.... lucky them they were told it was to be sudden death, first basket wins.
Not only were the kids robbed of play time but also a fair chance at what they worked do hard for. The parents we all traveled 3 or 4 hours and paid for a night in a hotel and paid hoopgroup for a weekend pass only to be left short.
There were no apologies given, no one to answer the phones and still have yet to get a phone call back after leaving several messages. I'll say if you are ok with your kids not getting what you paid for and were promised, then this is the spot for you. If you expect what you paid for and have a standard of what is to be delivered, STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere.
Additionally other games were moved to avoid what happened to our kids.... guess we'll never really know why ours was not moved . You would think that we would have been offered to finish the game somewhere else.... but no... they got there money from the teams and parents.....

My least favorite place to watch/play basketball in the area. Terrible top to bottom. Huge crowded parking lot. Rude staff. The woman at the door argued and yelled at nearly everyone that came in. Kids get charged to play in a tournament, then parents are over charged to watch them play. $10 per day to watch a kids basketball game? Or $20 to 'livestream' it. The inside is cramped and dirty. Dirty benches for the fans and bathrooms were disgusting. There's no place to wait for your game to start, and no place for players to warm/stretch before their upcoming game. Kids are constantly being cheated. Referies and the people in charge are always helping out the home teams. It’s not fair when girls are constantly playing against girls that are at least two years younger, and when they are still losing, they have the referies and the rest of the staff helping them out. 🤨🙃It’s not fair to the girls who play their heart out.

The organization here is absolutely ridiculous. We had our brother try out for a high school league… no email, call, response via multiple social media messages regarding whether or not results would be released. They told the players “72 hours” and it had been two weeks. They have zero respect for any outreach whatsoever, and still have not responded to any inquiries. The website is completely outdated with people saying “I no longer am affiliated with Hoop Group”… then why are they still on the website? You would think an AAU affiliated organization would be MUCH more organized and respect the time of parents and players but absolutely not. Figure it out.

The camp was a good experience as far as meeting new friends and staying in the dorm like but basketball wise it was the worst!!! The top players came and went as they pleased!! Played when they wanted to play! The coaches showed them no discipline…. One player that was to be a top player cursed his teammate out several times!!! I believe they even stayed in better dorms although the dorms where other players stayed in were very nice and clean! Beautiful campus!!

I was hyped about hoop group and was a big fan but I can honestly say that this camp lacks a lot of integrity!! I coached small college basketball for 12 years and I don’t care who you are you must instill discipline in young guys… it was literally sickening to see how some of these so called top players acted!! Not all but several!! They highlighted the same players over and over on there IG! The camp has potential to be really great but the way they let these so called high profile players act is ridiculous… and trust me they did not pay but your son did…. Most coaches were ok…. A lot of the teams had different coaches every game, then they would get elevated by a coach that may have only seen them play one time…. That’s crazy to me! Almost seems like it’s about the $ not the players… I know sports and trying to get to the next level is rough and cut throat but don’t sell your soul by not teaching young players the right way! And I’m not gonna touch on the subject of all the reclassification players🤣🤣 anyway experience it for yourself if you want!!!! I’m no way a hater but I am a realists! Not trying to bash u HG but there is a lot of things you need to do better especially building young peoples character! The camp has much potential but u only get 1 star from me!

Great basketball facility! They have 3 full basketball courts & snack bar. The staff and refs were great. Plenty of parking. You can bring in food and drinks! We played a basketball tournament here. The place was too cold. It was colder inside than outside. I wish I had my winter coat. A lady working 1 of the score tables had a blanket...smart, but she already knew how cold it is inside. The admission price is ridiculous $12/per person. The price for food was also ridiculous $2.50 for a soft pretzel & $5 for about 5 small chicken nuggets...smh. We waited to leave to get something to eat. The only thing we had to buy was a $2 16oz Gatorade since our son forgot his $.80 32oz Powerade at home. Some people should realize u can make a decent profit off of quantity if u sale at a lower price. Top it off...the refs were horrible. Definitely for our 1st game. The 2nd game not as bad, but still made some horrible calls. Just glad we r done for the weekend.
