It's been such a great experience! I did the beginner series. It was a really awesome introduction to yoga. The instructor, Brie, guided us through the poses while helping us learn what felt right for our bodies and how to adjust accordingly. She's amazing! That's what I appreciated the most. In each class I'm encouraged to do my personal best and what feels right for my body. Since then I have done a few other classes and have loved each one.

Absolutely love this studio! I started here as someone brand new to yoga, was able to take varying levels and styles of classes to find what works best for my practice and growth.

Teachers are extremely knowledgeable, adaptable to experience of students, and create a welcoming vibe. Definitely more physically demanding than some other studios I've been to, but I love the fact it's both a mental and physical workout.

Classes offered all day, from 6:30am until 8pm with midday as well. Everything from vinyasa, yin yoga, pre/post natal, alignment, restorative, etc.

Right outside path/bus station for easy access, elevator/stairs up the floor, mat and bag storage, changing booths. Works with ClassPass, MindBody, drop in + unlimited options as well.

I can’t say enough about HYP. The staff there instantly made me feel welcome the moment I went there for my first yoga class ever and learned my name, as they do for every yogi in their community. They have created a friendly, nurturing environment for people of all skill levels. I have been practicing there for a year and a half and have never looked elsewhere because of how fulfilled I feel at HYP. Truly a special place and you cannot beat the view of the river and city during class!

I am new to the area and after trying many yoga studios out, I have found my home at The Hudson Yoga Project! I love the diversity of classes, all the teachers are wonderful and I feel like I’m really learning and improving my practice! They also offer online classes in case you aren’t able to make it in which is amazing. The staff is so kind and accommodating, I’m so impressed with every aspect. I’ve even convinced my husband to start taking class!

I’ve been going to HYP for about 3 weeks. I went looking for a yoga studio during a very difficult time as a way to channel my energy into something positive. Every class and every instructor has been like a breath of fresh air for me. I always leave class feeling better than I went in and looking forward to the next one. Great studio for anyone looking!

I started coming to Hudson Yoga Project for prenatal classes during my second trimester at 17 weeks and I cannot day enough good things about the studio. I was not a huge yoga goer before pregnancy so I was intimidated at first about starting a yoga practice while pregnant, but the studio assured me that it is for all levels at any stage of pregnancy/ post pregnancy. The instructor Melie is approachable and creates an open environment to tailor each class for the moms-to-be in the room depending upon their stage and specific pains/preferences. Another bonus is that they have many pre/post natal classes throughout the week, allowing your schedule to match any time!

Thank you for creating an amazing environment! I look forward to continuing to be apart of Hudson Yoga Project throughout the rest of my pregnancy and post!

It's actually sad because this yoga studio is SO GOOD that every class is so full! Every teacher I've taken classes with are fantastic and have awesome energy - positive and upbeat without being ridiculously rah-rah and always always perfect for the kind of class they're holding. The studio always smells awesome as well, I don't know how they do it with a room full of sweaty yogis 5 times a day.

There are a range of classes for all skill levels and instructors are great at offering various modifications adapted to the class' needs. Most of the sessions are vinyasa and they do a couple of restorative / yin classes too.

I really hope they get more space at some point bc now I have to show up 15min early to claim a half-decent spot :) but they are so good I'll keep coming back no matter what.

Having practiced with the HYP teachers for many years, it felt so natural to do my 200hr YTT here. The experience was even better than expected. We started practice teaching on day 1 of training & the training was well structured and formatted. Highly recommend to deepen your practice or become yoga alliance certified!

This is by far one of the best studios I've been to, from the extremely friendly and understanding staff to the knowledge of each instructor. I've been practicing yoga for a bit and had been looking to take my yoga skills to the next level. I took their intro to yoga series, not because I'm a beginner but because I really value understanding the proper way to get into a posture. Hudson Yoga delivered! They have a great way of helping you understand what a posture should feel like. I also took level 1 and 2 classes. Each teacher has their own style, however, with a common thread of focus on proper alignment, movement, and breath, which is again something I very much appreciate and it helps to keep a level of consistency to each class. You can also tell that each of the class flows are mindfully crafted to help you achieve a final posture or state of mind. I always leave feeling physically and mentally better than when I walked in, so I highly recommend checking out the studio.

I've been practicing yoga (on and off) for over 7 years -- both in Manhattan and Hoboken -- and I can say without reservation that the Hudson Yoga Project (HYP) is the best overall yoga experience I've ever encountered.

What do I mean by that - what's part of the best yoga experience? First, the classes and special workshops are outstanding (vinyasa and yin, it's not a bikram/hot yoga studio). The teachers are very skilled, down to earth and enjoyable. If you're on the fence about going, because it's cold or something, their skill and vibe will help you get motivated to go. Patrick Franco is the heart and soul, as co-founder and teacher, but it's far from a one person teaching show. He's brought in an excellent array of really talented and vibrant yoga teachers . . . a lot of mutual admiration going on there among the teachers, and it's clear they learn from each other and improve. That's to your great benefit. I mix up whose classes I attend, and almost never have less than a great class. Nice mix of intermediate/advanced, and beginning classes, plus fun handstand and other workshops if you're into that action.

Second, and importantly, the space and sense of community there is outstanding. I went to a lot of larger space yoga places in The City, and they often felt very transactional. At the HYP, they're very welcoming whether you're advanced and aiming at teacher training yourself, intermediate, or just getting started; or, even if you're a 40-something Dad and yoga journeyman just trying to keep up with his sons and keep it on the level. It's a cool, intimate (small-ish) space right by the PATH in Hoboken. It's easy to get to and it's warm in there, in more ways than one.

I highly recommend you check it out, unless you're anti-good yoga or anti-cool people. If that's the case, feel free to take a pass.

I have attended other yoga studios in the past but once I found the Hudson Yoga Project I knew I had found THE ONE. I’m always greeted by name when I walk in and it just makes me feel so comfortable. Every class I have taken has been a favorite and the instructors have all been amazing! Patrick makes it a point to introduce himself to everyone who is new to the studio! I’m so glad I found HYP and look forward to continuing my yoga journey with them !

The best Prenatal Yoga Studio in Hoboken/Jersey City by Far! Kristen is the best instructor and designs each class around the mommies to be in the class that day. This really helped with my aches and growing pains through my 2nd and 3rd trimester and I would recommend to any prego ladies!

HYP is an amazing space and I feel so lucky to be part of the community! They offer every type of class you could want - particularly, I appreciate the numerous level 2 vinyasa and restorative classes on the schedule. What is most special is definitely the teachers, who not only teach fantastic classes, but also foster a sense of community that is so welcoming and really rare. Every teacher whose class I have taken I would go to see again (and have), but I must add a special shout out to Patrick, one of my favorite teachers ever. I always leave class at HYP feeling so so good - which is why I practice yoga.

It's wonderful and convenient to have all of my favorite Hoboken based yoga teachers in one spot. The community Patrick built at HYP feels like home. The studio is bright and airy with a downtown vibe. If you're looking for intelligent Vinyasa flow classes, this is the place to go.

Amazing energy in this place; thanks to the teachers, their style, the tunes... I never imagined how much Yoga could benefit my world (mentally, spiritually and physically) and I look forward to each and every single time I enter into HYP. I've missed 3 months now due to an unexpected illness; however I'll be back I hope in 1-2 months from now! Miss you all and thank you for the community you have created!

When I started at Hudson Yoga Project I knew I wanted to get further into practicing. But I didn't know what to expect. At first, I started slow with Open & Restore from Christine Burbridge, one of their amazing teachers. Her class eased me into practicing, while also giving me the time to restore my mind and body. She was very instrumental in my early stages and I owe everything to her kind and caring sensibilities. I then moved on to Patrick's Breathe and Restore where I learned that the secret to practicing, as well as with most things in life, was that if I could control my breathe, I could do anything. Those two core classes prepared me to dive fully into Level 1-3 classes. One of the things that I love about patrick and the people I've met at the studio is the fact that I'm surrounded by like-minded individuals that are always encouraging me to go beyond my boundaries. There is no pressure to be something I'm not, only the philosophy that all you need to practice is yourself. I look up to everyone at the studio as peers, and teachers like Kate, Shannon, and Melie are all wonderful. Anyone interested in starting yoga, and being part of a true Hoboken yoga community, should definitely check out their free week of classes.

I loved taking classes at HYP! The instructors always made me feel welcomed. They introduced themselves, had us introduce ourselves to our neighbors and were encouraging during class. I always felt I had a good mix of positivity and calmness at the studio. The most important point I can say is that it's clear that the instructors love what they do. I always left the studio feeling at ease. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Hudson Yoga Project (HYP) is not only a beautiful place to do yoga but more importantly a beautiful and vibrant community of Yogis. HYP teachers embody yogic philosophies and infuse them into each class. They model what it means to be a Yogi in a fun and playful way while teaching each pose. I've had some of the deepest and most transformative classes at HYP and met some truly amazing people!! It has a small town feel due to the tightly knit community and relaxed atmosphere. Hands down the best yoga studio in Hoboken... and dare I say, anywhere? The teachers are all amazing and bring their own individual style, but the common thread throughout all of the classes is a focus on alignment and movement with breath. I'm constantly amazed at their ability to talk you into both basic poses and (crazy) ones you would never imagine you can do - but you can! The community is awesome!
