​We absolutely love The Little Gym! My daughter, Rose, is in the Beast/Super Beast class and has the best time every single week. I'm so impressed that the gym layout changes weekly; it keeps things fresh and gives Rose new opportunities for deeper engagement and exploration.
​The curriculum is fantastic, with clear objectives for each class that get both of our bodies moving. We also love the dedicated practice time where Rose can work on new skills or just get her energy out. A huge shout-out to Coach Nala, who is simply the best. She is so warm and encouraging, and she has a real gift for meeting each child at their individual skill level. I love that she's noticed Rose's progress and gently challenges her with slight modifications to help her grow. The entire team is wonderful, with Coach Destiny doing an amazing job as a team leader. The space is always clean and the equipment is very well-maintained.
​We also recently attended a friend's 3rd birthday party here and it was so impressive. The team did a fantastic job personalizing the event activities to the theme and creating a great flow for the activities. Highly, highly recommend!

I love their “Super Beasts” with Coach Swea. The “beasts” class which starts at 19 months and run 45 mins, which is the perfect amount of time to tire the kids out, and not exhaust mom/dad/caregivers. I’ve brought both my kids including when I was pregnant (coaches would help when I was unable to do the parent/child led activities). There is a fully stocked bathroom and it’s air conditioned.

We've been going to The Little Gym Jersey City for a few months now and I wanted to write a quick review for parents like me looking for activities for their toddlers: DO IT. SIGN UP HERE! We tried several activities and gyms in the area for my little guy and The Little Gym is the best. The facilities are well kept and clean (also love the big windows- makes it feel so bright and airy), there is an awesome variety of equipment for the kids to use and it's all very safe as well. The teachers are fantastic- you can tell how much they love kids and their knowledge of gross motor development is top tier as well. I love that they really do try to teach and nurture the little toddlers, but they are also so patient and let the kids go at their own pace so it's not a stressful experience- it's a place my son and all of the other kids are just so happy to go to. Trust me, this is the place to sign your kid up.

State of the art facilities, bright and spacious. I toured a couple of other similar facilities in Jersey City before getting the membership here.

Customer support system via text is convenient to use and I always had a great experience with any questions or requests.

Not great. Basically organized playtime with little formal instruction. The instructors couldn't be bothered to give each child individualized attention. If the child wanted to run around and do nothing else, the instructor just allows it. This is expensive babysitting, nothing more. And the lack of wifi for the parents? How cheap could these people be? Is there any public establishment that doesn't provide wifi? Even the subway system has free wifi.

Danielle, I'm sorry you are 'saddened' by this review. However, having your employee corner me while I am watching my child in class is extremely inappropriate. I do not appreciate being confronted in that manner. The children do indeed run around 'doing their own thing'. And the instructors let them. There seems to be little structure to the class or at least it isn't strictly adhered to. On a side note, I work for a business that takes cybersecurity very seriously. Please spare me the disingenuous explanation.

To all those who think about joining the little gym at this location...don't! Save your money. The owner not only had her employees confront me about the honest review (and yes it is my right to write a review about a program my child was enrolled in). The owner apparently did not like my review and continued to harrass me via phone calls and email. All are inappropriate. Eventually I had to tell her that I would seek legal action if she did not stop contacting me.

I highly recommend The Little Gym for their staff training, patience, cleanliness and overall engagement. Every coach we encountered was patient with every child. They disinfect between each class. It’s very easy to makeup a missed class or simply change your schedule. The coaches were always extra gentle and patient for children with special needs.

There’s a yearly registration fee and the monthly fee based on how many classes a week. They also offer a lot of “parent survival nights” where you can drop off the kids for a few hours or day camps when they’re off school. They offer a free trial class so you can experience it for yourself to see if it’s a good fit for your littles.

This was a perfect hobby for our toddler who had not started school yet since the classes are actually structured with real goals. At the end of each class the coach will tell the parents what they achieved and what they can practice at home.

We had to cancel due to personal scheduling issues but would be happy to return in the future if our schedule changes. I definitely recommend classes here.

From our initial class the staff has been extremely welcoming and courteous. What I found especially comforting was that each coach made the concerted effort to learn our child’s name. Our 6yo has been going to TLG for over a year now. She is super comfortable no matter the coach and is always excited for class. Whether via text or phone it’s super easy for me to reschedule a class in case of schedule conflicts. I love that there’s an option to drop off and sit and watch her in class. I had my son's fifth birthday at the little gym, and it was PERFECT! I was worried it would be too babyish, but it was actually great for all ages in attendance from infants to 11 year olds. The staff was incredible, helpful, and fun at every step. Set up and clean up was a breeze, and they took care of everything. I just dropped my decorations off! Came here months ago for a trial class, was told there was an opening for the 2 year old age group so we gave it a shot so our son can socialize with kids his age. After the class was done the girl at the desk said she would call me to formally enroll my son, never received a call. I called 2 days later to start the process and was told there was no availability for his age group, but that he could go with the bigger kids 3-4 range. Hard no. I was then told I would be contacted and put on a wait list to get my son into the classes, never contacted, this was well over 8 months ago now. Instead I keep getting bombarded by their email ads telling us to bring him in to classes etc, I have unsubscribed SEVERAL times now, but keep getting the emails. How?? For a place with this many good reviews I am very disappointed with how we were treated and the overall company.

We threw our son's 2nd birthday party at The Little Gym of Jersey City and it was such a beautiful turn out! The kids had such a great time! The instructors were amazing, extremely helpful& great with the kids! The set up and breakdown was impeccable and seamless for us throwing the party. My son started Little gym when he was about 12months.
I enjoyed bringing my son here for a few months but it wasn’t until a recent incident where I had to make the decision to pull him out.
During one of the classes Coach Danielle along with another employee who was training were spotting my son on the pole. My son ended up falling and banging his head on the pole and then the cushion.

I immediately grabbed him and took him to the front where the employee who was training gave me an ice pack for his head. At this point being a first time mom and not having my husband there I felt worried and overwhelmed with my son screaming and crying after the hit he took.

I was disappointed that Coach Tim was at the front desk and showed no empathy as a crying baby is coming out and one of his workers is handing me an ice pack. Not once did he ask if my son was okay, he didn’t even ask what happened. He simply told the girl “did you give her an ice pack, yea you’re good to go back inside” . It wasn’t until I asked about how they go about completing incident reports that he then asked what happened. I explained what happened and still no empathy just a simple “well I’ll have to check the cameras” .

When I got home I realized that I was actually recording when he fell, everything happened so fast. In the video you could clearly see my son slowly slipping away from the trainers hands and she just let him go.

I write this review to let parents know that if there is a person training at Little Gym during one of your classes you should be cautious about letting your little one do certain things with them. I wouldn’t want anyone to go through this experience.

I sent over my personal video to Coach Danielle so she could understand why I no longer felt little gym was a safe environment and canceled my membership, I got no response. I understand this is a business but when children are involved I expected at least a bit of empathy and comfort.

I was interested in enrolling my 9 month old son to this gym since he's so active, crawling around the apartment. I thought this would be a great indoor activity. They offered a free trial and thought, perfect. I just want to see if he will like it.

I signed up two weeks ago for a Saturday 8:30 am parent/child class. The day before (less than 24 hours notice), I got a call to confirm. However the representative on the phone said there are two spots left. If I don't pay for the classes now, I'll lose my spot. I couldn't commit and I wanted to see if my son would like it.

I didn't like how I was forced to make a decision to commit paying over $100 dollars without trying the trial. Don't offer the trial if you cannot respect your potential customers. I even had a confirmation email. There was nothing in the fine print that says I can lose my spot if the spots are filled by paying customers.

Also, I don't like how the representative tells me she's going to call other parents to see if they will pay for the class... Especially less than 24 hours before the class. you're now doing it instead of giving me a heads up. I was confirmed to come. Do not offer a trial if you don't respect it. You just lost a potential customer.

I signed up with another gym who respected their potential customers with a trial. The gym wouldn't let me sign up until the following Saturday because they had other potential parents/kids with a trial.

If you want your business to grow, please also respect your potential clients.

My daughter just loves it here! Coach Carmelo is awesome! Great at engaging her but also letting her explore and learn at her own pace. In addition to all the new physical skills, I fully attribute her being able to put her toys away to the Little Gym. We sing the “put away” song and she starts picking up. It even works when she doesn’t want to relinquish something; we sing the song and she looks so sad at whatever she is holding but hands it over to be put away. It’s amazing! Also, love the sign language lessons each week and each week’s homework to focus on new skills outside of class. Plus, just love that we have class and then multiple practice sessions each week. It feels like multiple classes a week for the price of one and really brings down the per class price if you factor in the additional days. With winter coming, indoor activities with indoor stroller parking are at a premium for us. In addition to indoor stroller parking, it is a level entry and there is always a coach there to open the door for you which is just a nice perk. Strongly recommend!

My 4 year old daughter simply cannot get enough of this place. We currently have her enrolled in a variety of activities and this is her absolute favorite thing to do. The classes are super high-energy and engaging for the kids. They focus on 3-dimensional learning while teaching the basics of gymnastics. This involves games that stoke the kids' imagination and lessons that teach the kids to be better "citizens", e.g. manners, politeness etc. The classes go way beyond teaching the basics of gymnastics to really hone brain development and muscle memory. The gym is very well-organized and well-run by the owners Coach Tim and Coach Danielle. It is very clean and very safe for the kiddos. But there is also a very warm, comforting atmosphere that we love. The staff almost makes you feel like family.

They often have members-only events which we enjoy taking advantage of. One example was Doughnuts with Dad around Father's Day. That was a fun time in the gym and gave fathers a chance to participate in some activities. And there is a Halloween party coming up that we are looking forward to.

My son has been attending classes at Little Gym for the past few months and we also hosted his birthday party there in June. He really loves Little Gym (and by extension, I do too - more on that below) and Coach Danielle, Coach Carmelo, etc. He comes home from class and babbles about his coaches for hours and every morning when he wakes up he asks if he has Little Gym or swim class today.

Beyond liking Little Gym because he does, I think their facility is the newest and cleanest of any in the area (he has been in classes at Gymboree and MyGym for years). On top of that, their classes are better because the activities and themes vary more from week to week and I feel like they are working more on developing new skills (like balance and increasing upper body strength) than at the other classes. I also thought they did a great job with his birthday party - the staff was super helpful and easy to work with and they handled everything so all we had to do was drop off any decorations we wanted for the dinosaur theme he chose and show up.

Fun addition to JC! We joined because we are big fans of Mr. C and loved the LG in Tribeca.
We had our 5 year old birthday party here and were lucky to have Mr. C there - he is amazing with kids of all ages and is great at making them happy and entertained while they learn real skills. The parents got to kick back, socialize and relax while the LG took care of the kids, decorations, food and everything (set up, cleaning and packing leftovers and gifts).
Finding nearby free street parking has been easy during both weekdays and weekends (even for a non parallel parker).

The place is amazing! Clean, freindly staff, and our energetic 5 year old gets to flip and tumble non-stop ( she actually gets tired!! Lol). Thank you Little Gym!

Just opened up today. Looks like a really solid place with a very friendly staff and nice interior decor. They are reasonably priced on par with other gyms in the area. Think would be a nice place to have a birthday party. Their summer camps for kids start at 3 years of age which would be my only complaint. Overall seemed a solid place.
