This place used to be very good, but my recent experience was disappointing. The bartenders were rude and unwelcoming, which really ruined the atmosphere. On top of that, they automatically added an 18% service charge to the billβeven though I was only one person and it was never mentioned or asked about for the self service . Very unprofessional and misleading. Sadly, itβs not the same quality it used to be.

Tee box trash. Fairways ok. Rough is basically like being out of bounds with grass 12β long. Greens trash. Bunkers have soft sand which is a plus. Slow play with nobody there? Backed up the entire back 9. Bar/restaurant is fire - the only highlight. Iβd rather play putt putt golf.

Played a few times last year, wasn't bad. Went this past weekend and course is garbage for $80 with cart. Not a single good feature. Bad tee boxes, ripped up fairways, burnt greens, fallen trees everywhere, overgrown grass. Won't go back

Course needs maintenance. There is too much dirt on the fairway, and the greens are slow and have too many divots.

My partner witnessed the maintenance staff chasing and grabbing wild ducks on the course. They were laughing and taking selfies with the ducks while the poor animals were loudly panicking. He called the Pro Shop and pretty much got no response. The guy on the phone half-heartedly said he would "let them know".
This morning, I saw the same maintenance guys running and chasing some animals (probably the ducks, but could not get a good view) under the tree on the course. Once again, they were laughing.
So obviously, they were not reprimanded at all. I'm beginning to believe the staff are actually encouraged to harass the wildlife to get them away from the course.
I do not at all support this kind of behavior, especially from a county-owned establishment under the Parks and Recreation Department.
Please do the bare minimum and not allow your staff to harass wild animals for their own entertainment.

This course has much improved since last the greens are all in pretty good shape. A couple of holes (12 and 18) still have a lot of bald spots but that area is challenging to maintain because of big trees and sub-efficient drainage. Overall the management company is doing a good job though. And the staff is always super friendly.

Played there today and itβs just terrible. It was like playing golf at a dog parkβ¦terribly maintained and even the trash cans were full. The staff we came in contact with were very nice but donβt waste your time or money playing this course which apparently the township has just completely let go.

Played here yesterday for $68.00. Course is in horrific condition. Dirt patches on every fairway. Bunkers not raked, some bunkers had no sand in them. Couldn't distinguish between fairway and rough. Absolute highway robbery. I will not be back to this dump.

Best Bartenders in Nj!!! Delicious Food! Friendly People! A different game on each of 10 screens. An ATMmachine, a juke box with every variety of music on it, 2 dart boards, 2 pool tables, an outside deck with a tent, many tables on the deck and 2 TVs outdoors! Couldn't ask for more!

I live next to this golf course. This property makes noise on weekend starting as early as 5:30 AM. I looked through the window to take photos and could confirm some kind of tractor activity in the parking lot. If you want to fall asleep in that loud noise, good luck with you. Absolutely disrespectful and inconsiderate of the neighborhood.

My golf buddies and I played a round 4 weeks ago after always playing the Meadows atleast twice a month. Our experience was terribly disappointed, to say the least. Many fairways had puddles that smelled awful. The tee boxes were horrible. The best experience was coming back to have a beer at the cafΓ©tΓ©ria.
Course with plenty of potential but someone needs to clean this filthy thing up.

Great beginner/intermediate course where you shouldn't have to donate too many balls to the ponds & woods. Friendly staff who ensures a smooth check in and start - shoutout to Ernie who gets you going. Nice paced course (~4.5 hours) without golfers breathing down your neck. Not a huge pro shop so make sure you're equipped before hand, nice little chipping green to practice at beginning with.

This course is an interesting contrast to the other nearby Middlesex county course, Tamarack. The layout here is less interesting, with more straightforward and open holes (with a few exceptions), but the conditions are much better. The greens and fairways were in pretty good shape. I haven't had any problems getting a reasonable lie in the fairway and the greens roll true. As others have noted though, the bunkers are still in rough shape.
The pace of play is sometimes pretty slow, but the staff has been friendly and helpful every time I've been there.

Horrible. Greens were sand filled due to recent aeration. Layout is not bad but the fairway conditions were below average and the area around the green were bad.
I would not recommend it. One of the golfer in my foursome summed it by saying, this is my first time here and will be the last. Makefield highlands gave 20% discount when they aerated and they do a fine job of aeration. No sand on the green. But this course could use a new professional grounds keeper.

A group rudely played through my group right in front of my face! And they had a guy standing at the bag stocking area which is totally against the policy. I told the staff. The staff said "they are trying to finish earlier". I said: "Should they at least ask me?". The staff said: "THEY DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT!!!" Super shocked about this happening. Shame on this course.

This is my local course. With that being said I rated it 5 stars because you get what you pay for here. The T boxes are pretty well maintained fairways are maintained pretty well. Roughly $25 for a round with a cart after 2pm. Greens are always in decent shape. Not bethpage here but like I said for the price good luck finding a challenging and maintained course.

Overall the course was in decent condition for a county course. However the amount of other people on the course, likely from the surrounding residences, was unbelievable. People on bikes and skateboards, people running and family with little kids just walking around the course on the cart path. Today was the first time I played the course, there was a lady doing yoga (complete with yoga mat) on the 7th fairway and 3 kids playing soccer (with a popup goal) on the 16th green. I asked the starter if this was something caused by people being home with the pandemic and he told me it is a normal thing that they havent been able to control, even with getting the police involved. Unfortunately I wont be going back to this course.

Great lay out. Course could use some tlc but consistent green speeds and fairways. Some trees could use trimming but not many. Difficult putting on greens depending upon pin placements. Difficult back nine makes for a good challenge. No driving range makes for difficulty warming up.
