Our kids love TMMA. The masters are great in teaching taekwondo and motivating the kids with little stickers, but also pay attention to social skills as respect and values.
Also, they strictly adhere to all Covid protocols, with small classes, masks, hand desinfection before/after the training etc.The lessons and belt tests can also be accessed via zoom, so parents (and other family members) can see how their kids progress.
With every successfull belt test comes not only a new belt color, but also a trophy, which our kids are very proud of and love to display in their rooms. I can highly recommend this school!

I don’t typically post reviews but I felt that i must express my views on this martial arts school. My kids have been attending TMMA school for past 7 years and have been training to higher and higher skill levels. The school teaches and practices good social values, professionalism, respect and discipline along with martial arts. During the current COVID19 pandemic, the masters have done excellent job keeping the training going as much as possible. The zoom classes were engaging and once the outdoor classes were allowed, masters have prepared the facilities for students in a very safe manner. Each student gets a 9 foot square area which is cleaned with disinfectant before each class. Masters have also arranged individual tents covering each student in order to provide shade during afternoon hours. Each day masters setup these matted tents and take them down after the class. Incredible!!! This all at no extra cost and even the fees during the months which had only zoom lessons was waived. Amazing example of professionalism in the current difficulties.

The staff is very professional, and classes are well organized. It's an excellent place to learn if you're not worried about your child competing in elite Taekwondo tournaments.

We lived in basking ridge from 2016-2018 and my son practiced martial arts in this school. I will strongly recommend this school for following reasons: 1) encouraging masters - they use all types of ways to encourage kid to do their best, build confidence. 2) friendly community - the owner James is INCREDIBLE!! He helped us in all ways when he learnt that the family is relocating to Singapore. He helped us to contact school in Singapore to make sure that my son has proper transfer between the schools.

We feel really lucky to be part of this school and highly recommend to all!!!

We love and respect TMMA Basking Ridge. Our daughter has been learning Taekwondo with them for 4 years. The Masters have helped improve her confidence and discipline. We highly recommend them for Taekwondo classes.

I started later than most, and even though I'm a lower belt than almost everyone else in my class, I still feel I am getting an equal lesson every time I go. The masters are nice and push everyone to do well, and this place is very conveniently placed as it is easy and safe to walk to for anyone living in the area.

Great school. Highly skilled masters, friendly environment, engaging classes. My daughters have been training here since the school opened, about five years ago. They are both black belts now and are still motivated to continue training and improving their technique!

We simply love this place. I signed up my boy/girl twins when they were three, they are eight now and still enjoy it. The masters are amazing, and definitely know how to work with young children. The schedule is convenient. The program itself is challenging without being discouraging. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

This place is a GEM! My kid has been going for a couple of years now. The masters here are great with all of the kids. I go every week and I can say that week in and week out the progression I see from the entire class speaks volumes. They are engaging and encouraging as well as have expectations that kids give their best. My son loves it and it has clearly had a positive effect on his confidence both inside and outside of the class. I STRONGLY SUGGEST you take a look at this place if you have a kid who wants to or practices Martial Arts.

I have to say, going here pretty much helped me with my values and had helped on various physical abilities. I remember baring being able to touch my ankles then my toes. Now i can touch toes no problem...its just that on the tmma website, I swore I saw myself on the "About Tmma" tab. Wearing a white belt and having a demon face doing a high block...oh god why.
