Excellent gym. My daughter goes there every day for many hours. I go always when I visit with her. The staff is fantastic. The gym is kept very clean. Unlike most gyms where some equipment breaks down this gym has very few issues with broken machines. There are also plenty of machines so very very rarely is there a wait time. I have been to many gyms and this certainly rates as one of the best

I cannot say enough good things about vive… I started coming here about a year and a half ago when I made my Beach house my year-round house… Everything about this gym makes it perfect… The people …the staff …the equipment… the size… It’s literally my second home …I could count on one hand the amount of days I have taken off in the year and a half I have lived here. It’s the kind of gym where you get to know the regulars …everyone is super friendly. They keep the gym super clean and it has everything you could possibly need. For a short time, I was thinking about having two memberships keeping my membership at vive and there’s a gym that’s further away from me and more like a country club minus the golf…. ( think it was 300+ - month)… after testing that out for a few days to see if I split the week….. half-and-half…. I realized how stupid that would be . Vive is way better gym …you’ll get way better workout in “the vive” atmosphere. And the price of vive compared to many other gyms in Jersey is unbeatable. It’s literally a bargain. I even have friends that teach at those upscale clubs, but refuse to workout there because they don’t get the kind of workout that they get at vive . I wish I could give six stars... I would in a second!!! It’s the best gym I’ve ever belonged to, and I have belonged to all different types of GYMS… I will consider myself a fitness freak and by far VIVE is without a doubt the best

I've been going to Vive for over a year now. Super happy I made the transition! Being into bodybuilding for 10 years, I've been to a handful of gyms, Vive is easily the best. Has every piece of equipment you really need and also enough space for stretching, etc. Can't complement the manager and staff enough as well. It is truly a gym that is ran the right way and I am delighted to be a member!

Edit, they should have disposable wipes so members can wipe down equipment just a spray bottle and cloths that a majority of the people don’t use. Machines are updated …..
Older review I joined this gym because they have daycare and a small OUTSIDE play area when the weather is nice for the kids. The classes are great, love the spin and weights class with Andee. One star off because they should have an app to sign up for a spin bike, nothing like getting there and bikes are full.

If You Like Saunas, Join Vive Fitness — If You Want a Real Gym, Look Elsewhere

I’ve been to gyms all over the country due to frequent work travel, and in 25 years I’ve never encountered a facility as poorly ventilated and oppressively hot as Vive Fitness in Point Pleasant, NJ.

Once the outside temperature climbs above 70 degrees, brace yourself — it feels close to 80 degrees inside the gym. The workout area turns into a hot, humid mess with zero air circulation. Your clothes will stick to your body, your energy will tank fast, and you’ll find yourself wondering if you came to exercise or slow-cook.

Want to know why it’s so uncomfortable? Because the thermostat is tucked away in the manager’s private office, which conveniently has its own air vent. That little office stays icy cold while the rest of us sweat buckets just trying to breathe.

For a gym that charges $60 a month, you’d think they could spring for a couple of fans — let alone a proper ventilation system. Planet Fitness, which charges a sixth of the price, has massive industrial ceiling fans that keep air moving. Vive Fitness has nothing. Not even a single fan to stir the stagnant air.

Bottom line: If you're considering joining this gym, be prepared to leave drenched in sweat — not from exertion, but from the miserable, swampy conditions. Unless you enjoy dehydration, overheating, and the feeling of exercising inside a greenhouse, save your money and go elsewhere.

Zero stars if I could. good luck getting any resolution with your membership here, literally good luck. The front desk people are nice, none of them know what's going on, I mean no idea what is happening. Went there numerous times, got different answers from each person, manager never there, they always say the manager will call you, he never calls you. They never write a log note in the computer of when you came, who you spoke with, nobody knows where the paperwork is, it is a clown show. All they know how to do is bill you monthly, that's it. You get random charges on your bill, they say you can't cancel, call the next day, yes you can cancel, we are not charging your card, next month there is a charge. Stay away from this place unless you are young and your mom or dad doesn't care about billing issues. If you are an adult, it's a clown show. It is as poor of a run business as you can find. Bottom line is they just don't care, which is fine, but they will not stop charging your card which is not fine.

Got a day pass. Very hard to deadlift - no bar loader/jack, no dedicated area/platforms, racks are very close together so pretty much impossible to deadlift in front of. Otherwise very average gym, not sure why so expensive. But other than deadlift it’s not bad.

I have visited Vive Fitness 3 times over the last couple months to workout with my buddy who has a membership there. The gym is super clean, staff is really nice, locker rooms are very clean, members seem very chill, equipment is in great shape, tons of variety of free weights and machines. I especially like they have a turf section for Hiit training. Highly recommend this location if you're looking for a gym membership or day pass.

Hate to be that guy and write this review but here it is. Been a member for some time now. Only place in town with a sauna. Cleanliness is another question. The sauna in men’s room hasn’t been cleaned in months. There is the same garbage on the floor now for months. Two bottle caps, chewed gum and water bottle. The stench in there is absolutely disgusting. I have told the employees at the front desk and there answer to me was that’s why we don’t go in there. Probably my last month and look for a gym with the same amenities.

I really like this gym. Never feels crowded. Well-kept and clean. Great equipment. They offer towel service. HOWEVER invest in new towels please. Currently towels are worn and scratchy, and many permanently stained.

Separate workout areas for those who don't want to be around a ton of people. Clientele seem classy and respectful. Sure, you'll pay a bit more than your standard $20 a month gym, but trust me, you get your money's worth. Although I don't take any of the classes, they seem to have a decent variety to choose from.
Highly recommend.

Terrible! I had problems from the beginning. First, they told me an amount that would be charged in the monthly fee for the following month, and they debited another one on my card. I sent emails to the manager, who did not bother to reverse the situation.
Afterwards, I like to use the spinning bike, and I saw that I had a unit available outside the classroom that I could use at other times, but the equipment would not turn on or the screen would not work.
And I chose to pay more for the monthly fee to have the option of freezing, again, I am being charged dodgy hidden fees that are not even included in the agreement term, and to cancel the same thing, hidden fees!
The gym is not transparent with fees; I am being charged a dodgy hidden fee, the staff should be better trained to clarify fees and charges!!!!!
For me, they act in bad faith and do not respect the consumer.

I have been a member & then an employee with LAFITNESS for 10 years now so visiting Vive was definitely not the norm for me. I can honestly say being in the gym either way is a comfort zone for me but seeing Vive’s culture & community was definitely refreshing. The floor plan wasn’t hard to adjust to but I felt more secluded during my workout which may be more comfortable for some people. Everything was still easy to find & all of the workout equipment was in good condition. They have a great variety between older & newer Nautilus, LifeTime Fitness, HammerStrength, TRX, Cybex & much more. Their turf area was beautiful again more secluded so I didn’t feel on display but I do wish it were bigger. They had Rogue bumper plates which were amazing as well as a newer Rogue rack system in their turf. I lifted legs & arms so the squat racks were standard nothing special & for me being 5’2” I had to take my weight outside of the rack in order to squat because I would hit the guard rails each time if I didn’t. The layout was nice having the cardio on the second floor with some classrooms while machines & free weights were downstairs. The locker room was clean & ideal for anyone looking to use the gym before after or during their work day because their lockers have self made combos as well as small changing rooms for privacy & curtains before the glass shower doors for another chance at modesty while trying to get ready for work or what have you. I felt like there was more luxury than I am use to due to their lotion & mouth wash dispensers. All in all great workout, great atmosphere, great equipment, clean & neat.

I do enjoy going to this gym. There is one huge problem that many of us are experiencing. A problem in which management may not want to deal with, but must. The problem is BO, as in Body Odor. There is one male individual who works out their daily, who wears the same green sweat shirt, everyday. It stinks to high Heaven. Sorry, I have to be honest. Causing problems throughout the gym, including the areas in which he is working out. Just putting it out there.
