I had never taken a yoga class before yoga six. However, that has since changed! :) This studio has very kind and welcoming staff/instructors. Since I am a beginner I prefer their restore, mobility, and slow flow classes. Shoutout to Danny and Allison, they are fun and great instructors. The studio is very clean and they have a water station which is cool.
Ooh thought I should mention that I’ve noticed muscle growth and this is the most consistent I’ve been with exercise. Even if I don’t feel 100%, they emphasize that you should listen to your body when doing movements. I really like that :)

Love practicing yoga here! I’m a runner who is injury prone, so I started yoga to complement my running. It’s definitely helped improve my balance and strength, helping me avoid running injuries. But it’s also been great for mental health to focus on the breath and be a part of my community. There is good class variety too- sculpt and power to build strength, slow flow and signature to focus on form and holding poses, restore to relax with gentle movement. The teachers are amazing- Allie, Cristina, Sam, Athena and many more, and the wellness advisors are so welcoming and get to know you as you come in and out of class. Thank you to the owner Delroy for creating this wonderful space for us!

Where does one start? I'm 67 years old and new to Yoga. Albeit 50 years ago I watched & tried to mimic the practice from a PBS program “Lilias, Yoga and You” as well as Jack Lalanne.
Recently my adult children said to try Adrienne Yoga on YouTube in preparation for running a 5k. Adrienne was good, but something was missing.
By happenstance while my wife & I were at the Somerville Jazz Festival we met Jessica at the Yoga6 table. We signed up a couple of days later prior to the opening of the studio. It's the best money I've ever spent.
The owner is great, the staff is very accommodating and the instructors that I have had are fantastic. Jessica V., Christina, Allison, Courtney & Priya each bring their own style & methods with a fresh approach in each class. They are very conscious of a student's abilities & limitations and teach accordingly.
Now for the nitty gritty: the neuropathy in my feet is almost completely gone after 7 classes, as well as pain in my shoulder from a pinched nerve has almost vanished.
Thank all of Somerville Yoga6 for providing a clean welcoming environment. Your attention to detail, especially the lavender finish is outstanding. Can't wait for my next class.
UPDATE: Initially this was going to be one class a week to fit in with a "Couch 2 5K" weekly training program, but it has turned into so much more. Almost 60 days later & 28 YogaSix classes later I can say that this journey has made a change in my health & mindset. My flexibility & balance has improved and I have noticed one thing in particular; my sleep patterns. The most I usually sleep is 5 hours with an occasional 6 hour night. Within the last two weeks my average night sleep is 7 to 8 hours plus.
Also my wife and 2 daughters have signed up as full members. It's not only addictive, but contagious. The healthiest kind of addiction & infection.
Again thanks to the owner, Delroy and his wonderful staff including the above mentioned as well as Danny, Athena, Alivia, Jessica R., Emily, Sam and Yaqing for affording me the opportunity to unlock my potential. You are all greatly appreciated.

If you know me, you know I’m not a fan of working out or movement in general. But Yoga 6 is changing that! For the first time, I’m actually enjoying moving my body.
The instructors are amazing — always supportive and willing to help in any way they can. Once those doors close, it’s me time. I leave the stress and noise outside and just focus on myself.
I can’t wait to see how my body (and mind!) continue to change. Thank you, Yoga 6, for helping me fall in love with movement. 💙🧘♀️

I really love all of the yoga classes here, especially the sculpt & flow and power flow yoga! The one thing I would love to change is getting the cold towels during savanna! Getting these afterwards defeats the purpose of the cold towels and I really wish we could get them while we are cooling down in class, thank you!

The YogaSix Somerville team is just so amazing, between the Owner, GM, Lead Teacher, Instructors, and Wellness Advisors, it doesn't get any better than that. They are always so kind, accommodating and authentic. The Somerville Team brings a nice touch for the community!!! 🧘🏻♀️🌸💜🤗🤩

Very friendly and great classes! So excited to have a hot yoga studio near by with fantastic hours.
I had taken the opportunity to use their promotion of 3 free classes and unfortunately for my third class, my car had died and I was unable to attend. I called them a little after the class started and the woman at the front desk was so kind and understanding, and even reimbursed the class for me so I can use it for another class! Will definitely be becoming a member here

I had a chance to check out this new YogaSix location and wow! I love the design of the studio from the ambient lighting to the amenities. They also have a shop with yoga gear which is really convenient. Also, I really liked the water station (I love my water lol), so don’t forget to bring your bottles. It’s walking distance to alot of shops and restaurants too. Excited to take class here!
