Chuze corporation makes plenty of profit what I see is they are not taking care of the facilities on Indian Rd. The monthly fees the yearly fee there is no excuse. The staff is nice but there has to be improvements. Constantly changing the jacuzzi in the morning instead of at night. No fans in the shower area to keep sow mildew, dressing rooms across from the showers curtains broken the hooks missing. Put an exhaust fan in the shower area. This gym offers a pleasant environment, making it easy to use the equipment without feeling awkward. I appreciated the tasty chocolate mint smoothie after my workout. Unlike my previous gym, Defined Fitness, where I felt lonely and judged by pretentious individuals, including a trainer who gave me a pitying look, this gym has made me feel at ease. If you're looking for a gym where you can work out without feeling uncomfortable, this is the place. However, I did encounter an issue because I had signed up online with my bank account number but they couldn't find me, I insisted it went through but they couldn't find me unless I knew my account number. Meanwhile a Karen behind me was playing close attention while having a grin on her face, she probably thought I was broke and couldn't pay for the gym fee.

Love this location! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of machines so not much waiting. Several recovery areas like a sauna, hot tub, steam rooms, hydro chairs, tanning and a pool. Never have an issue getting a complete thorough workout. Only downside would be the showers, not nearly enough of them, terrible water pressure and they are never clean unless you go in first thing in the morning. Any other part of the day and they are so gross.

Does not keep up with maintenance on machines, they allow people to wear shoes inside the sauna and steam room, I also had a family emergency,had to leave the city and had to request to terminate my membership, they are charging me 70 dollars to deactivate it. I emailed the GM and told him my situation to see if he could maybe waive atleast a portion of the 70, and I didn't get a response. He just left it on read. Don't waste your money here. They also allow people to sleep on the hydro massage chairs. The sauna and steam room Is wide open to everyone there as well, doesn't matter the membership, so I don't even know what I was paying extra a month for if everyone can use steam room and sauna.

I've been working out at Chuze Fitness and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The gym is incredibly clean, and the staff is always very friendly. There are so many classes to choose from, making it easy to find something that fits my schedule and interests.

The gym offers a lot of amenities, including tanning, training classes, and massage chairs. My favorite is the Zero Gravity chair—it's so relaxing! I love this gym. It's clean, with wipes to clean the machines before or after yourself, and very nice staff.
My only complaint is every time there is a special that allows anyone to use the hydro beds/zero gravity chairs, all the chairs end up broken. But that's not the gyms fault as much as it's politeness and respect if the other members in the gym. Still sucks when you're really looking forward to a chair.

I am new to abq. But love this gym and the new one off of Tabo. I’m going almost every day.Shout out to Jesse , Sabrina, Jade and Jaime. Andrea D at Tabo location for the nicest heated yoga. The chlorine fumes in the jacuzzi is sky high- so much so, upon entering the pool area I immediately have burning eyes and throat. It needs better air filtration or lower the chlorine content. great gym, but front desk and membership administration is terrible. the story: my wife has not gone to the gym for some months and chuze stopped charging our account. we went early one morning to find the account was inactive and $45 payment was due on the app. the personnel at the front desk made us start all over with an initial payment of $55 and then next month we have to pay another $50 yearly fee + monthly price. that is $120+ to restart the membership within 2 months. we do not know why the personnel did not let us pay the $45 payment on the app. Careful Chuze may sneak this on others

From our earliest visits, Logan stood out—not just for his professionalism, but for the genuine enthusiasm he brings to every interaction. Black mold is everywhere along the tile in the spa area, including the pool and especially the hot tub. The whole room smells like mold and the overhead is quite low, which contributes to a lack of proper ventilation. It's pretty disappointing because I joined largely for the pool.

One star off because there’s less and less space to stretch, warm up, and wind down (in quiet) as the side rooms are being shifted to pack in more classes and lifts! - The turf area is not well located, gets very cramped, and there are no mirrors to keep an eye on proper form & alignment when warming up. -

Hopefully Chuze will also prioritize the needs of those who rely on the gym to do low impact activities, or are recuperating from injuries or physical limitations. - The mental aspect of “getting centered” after a workout gets detracted from the noise of crowds and music, so prioritizing a consistently available space that is quiet would be nice too!

To start: adding mirrors on a wall around the turf area would be optimal. If another side room could be made open when not in use for class that’d also be great. - Pros: the gym is clean and very well maintained, and other than the turf & weights, the layout is good!

I just joined today and the staff are amazing. Its a beautiful facility with one exception. The spa is full of mold. You can’t see it unless you are in but very thick mold in all corners and especially in the skimmer. Absolutely gross It appears it hasn’t been cleaned in months Having owned a pool cleaning business for 15 years, it takes a long time for it to get this bad. I did report it and they said they would talk to management. I do love the facility but had to get out of the spa for fear of getting sick.

They let outdoor shoes/sneakers in the steam room. Well, they don’t make the ‘no sneakers’ rule obvious and I’ve never been in the steam room without someone wearing sneakers in the steam room with me. So it’s like there is no rule at all. They won’t notify you when you have a bill due, but they will send you an email when it’s overdue and give you a service fee.. they have a weird contract where 45 days after you sign up, they will charge you an extra $50. It is an obscure way to do business and seems a little tricky. Aside from that They have a good gym. They provide some good services. The sauna is really awesome and they have some massage chairs too, which are nice before a workout. I’ve been going to this Chuze location for about a year, and no matter what time I hit the gym on a weekday, it’s almost always packed. After 4PM, expect to wait 10–15 minutes for machines or squat racks. Compared to other gyms I’ve tried like Anytime or Legion—which are pricier but far less crowded—Chuze feels overcrowded.

While the base membership seems affordable at $16/month with a one-year commitment, hidden fees add up fast. There’s a $100 enrollment fee and a $60 annual fee, which breaks down to about $29.30/month overall. If long wait times are a deal breaker for you, it might be worth looking elsewhere.

That said, the staff is incredibly friendly and the gym is always clean, which is a big plus.

I absolutely LOVE this gym! BUT, the stand up tanning is gross! It never fails I’m standing in a whirlwind of someone else’s hair and or eyelash extensions. I understand people are rude and don’t clean equipment that’s one thing but when you have things flying and your body and face. But other than that I LOVE IT THERE and feel comfortable!!!

I held a membership at Chuze for over 5 years. I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and the membership prices can't be beat. The equipment was always clean and the staff were friendly. Sadly I had to cancel my membership as I was moving away. I'll be on the hunt for a gym like Chuze (hard to find) but hopefully they build more across the country!

I’ve been going to chuze for a few years now and in all my time there I never had a worker be so helpful and kind to me than Jaren Pillars. I had gone out of town recently so I hadn’t been in the gym for about a week or so. When I returned and asked for Jaren, I was absolutely GUTTED to learn that he had put in his two weeks and moved onto bigger and better things. Jaren was not just a worker at my gym, he was my friend and while I’m happy he has moved onto greater pastures, I will not be returning to this gym as I can’t cope with the loss.

My partner and I had a paid membership and he was verbally assaulted and threatened by staff. No manager was present, which is against policy. Chuze on Central was a great experience but I will never recommend this location.
