I can’t say enough great things about this gym! From day one, everyone has been so welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging. The workouts are always well-balanced with a great mix of weightlifting, cardio, and gymnastics. There’s truly something for everyone. Before joining, I could count on one hand how many times I’d ever been to a gym, and now I go at least three times a week (and more whenever I can!).

The class schedule makes it easy to find a time that fits any routine, and Aaron, the owner, is fantastic at challenging and motivating everyone to push past their limits while still making it fun and accessible. I’m so glad I joined as it’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and mindset!

THE best CrossFit gym in Albuquerque! I grew up in Albuquerque and come back often to visit family and every time I’m here I drop in. The gym has plenty of space, excellent equipment, and great people to work out with. I would highly recommend coming to Crossfit Albuquerque. Aaron the owner is a great person and always goes out of his way to make his gym the best!

The tl:dr is you won't regret coming to CrossFit Albuquerque, it's a phenomenal community to be a part of.

I've been a member here for about 18 months now, so I've seen it from the newbie perspective and from someone who's been here for a little bit.

I started a new job in the area that took me by the gym twice a day. So, I kept seeing the signs and started googling about CrossFit. I'll be honest, I was unsure if CrossFit was for me, being in my 50's and out of shape. I had this misconception that you had to be a ripped athlete to walk into a CrossFit gym. Lucky for me I was wrong.

I joined on a free trial (YAY!) and was immediately greeted by Aaron the owner. He was very welcoming and showed me around. I don't remember much from those first few days, but I do remember that everyone was very friendly, you'll have other members come up and introduce themselves making you feel at home.

Now the coaches. I can't say enough great things about the team of coaches Aaron has at his gym. Each and every one does a fantastic job of teaching each day's movements from start to finish. Learning proper form is key (and sometimes humbling). And if you're worried about the workout of the day (WOD) don't be, every exercise is able to be scaled to your ability, so you still get a great workout while building up to being able to do the prescribed lift or Metcon one day in the near future.

I'm going to miss some names, but Coach Brandi, Coach Jamie, Coach Will, Coach Kyra, Coach Meredith, and the newest, Coach Susana...you all ROCK!

I still have work to do, but I can't thank Aaron and the coaches enough for the support and encouragement. I've lost pounds, body fat, shirt/pant sizes, etc. all while building lots of muscle and becoming more functionally fit.

If you're looking for a gym with a great community of members you can't go wrong walking in the door at CrossFit Albuquerque.

CrossFit Albuquerque is the best gym in the Albuquerque area, by far. The people there are one of one and have one goal in mind, and that’s to build a better version of YOU!! whatever your goals are, that’s what they strive for you to achieve. You don’t have to be the fittest, or the youngest, there is literally a workout version for each and every single person. The way the gym family will cheer you on and help you believe in yourself is second to none! Something special is brewing in this gym and I am so glad I got to be a small part of it!! Gotta give a quick shout out to Coach Brandi - aka Brando - Aka BIG DAWG!!! By far the best coach I have ever had. She is so personable and knows her stuff. I’m telling you as a travel nurse, and being all over the USA - CrossFit Albuquerque is where it’s at!!! Till next time, peace!

I’m a travel occupational therapist, so I’m in different states for 13 weeks at a time. This is the best gym in Albuquerque, hands down. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and the coaches do such a great job. This gym has been the best part about my stay in ABQ, I’m gonna be so sad when I leave.

I absolutely recommend this gym for travelers, current CrossFitters, and especially newbies who haven’t done it before! I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in ABQ. Thank you CFA for having me 💓

CrossFit Albuquerque is one of the best gyms I’ve been to. The coaching staff is knowledgeable, supportive, and focused on helping members improve their technique and performance. Regardless if you’re a beginner or an experienced, they meet you where you are and push you to be better.

The programming is challenging but scalable for all fitness levels. The workouts are well thought out, intentional, and emphasize proper form and injury prevention.

Beyond the workouts, the community at CrossFit Albuquerque is what really makes it special. The members are welcoming, friendly, and genuinely supportive of each other.

The facility is clean and well-equipped. If you’re looking for a CrossFit gym in Albuquerque, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Tried a group class provided by the personal trainer Holly. She was amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable. She made sure we all felt comfortable with the movements and provided guidance for modification. It was a great class with great energy and very welcoming. Really enjoyed her class and everyone else seemed to enjoy it as well. Will be coming back! Definitely recommend Holly!

Have you ever walked into a gym you’ve never been to before and felt like you’ve known the coaches and members your entire life? Well that’s the treatment you’ll get walking into CrossFit Albuquerque. I was only in town for two workouts but I felt like I’d been going to this gym for years. The members were friendly, and welcoming of a drop-in, and the coach (Aaron) was helpful, insightful, encouraging and was somehow able to give everyone personal attention and coaching despite there being ten people in class. Look no further… this is the gym you want to drop into or at which you want to become a member HANDS DOWN! Can’t wait to come back to ABQ and workout with these folks again! Thank you!

I dropped in to CrossFit Albuquerque while I was visiting, and I highly recommend checking this box out! I was so impressed with the coaching and community! Aaron (the owner) was so welcoming and runs a badass box! Not only was the gym equipment top notch, everything was very clean!

During classes, the coaches gave each athlete personal attention and guidance to improve form and performance. I learned so much in the few drop ins I took. I highly recommend taking a class with Kenneth! He is so knowledgeable and willing to help!

Also! The community is awesome! Everyone was very welcoming and had a passion for the gym and fitness! I am
working on getting my first muscle up, and I got incredible drills and guidance by approaching the athletes,
Coaches and even Aaron(the owner)!
It was such an inspiring and supportive experience! I will definitely drop in again!

After speaking with a few members, I found out that people have been going to this gym for generations! Dads and daughters! So Cool!

Awesome vibes. Stopped in as a drop in on my way to Cali. Beautiful open bay set up, speal bars on the rig, a section dedicated to oly w/ blocks. Even had the micro plates and an assault runner

Aaron is a super dope guy. Even though I signed up for open gym at 1 pm, he let me do my thing at 1130 am, as long as I stayed out of the patrons way. Jack (I think?) The coach was super cool too. I bought a t-shirt, which I save for my fav spots.

10/10, would reccomend

Tried to drop in this morning and found a locked door. It turns out they have had trouble getting their new address updated by Google. I sent an email and quickly got a nice voicemail from the owner, Aaron. We spoke and he was a super nice guy. He was apologetic, refunded my drop-in fee, and got me set up for a class later in the day. Coach Jack and the community were great, and I’m very appreciative that a disappointing situation was turned into a really positive one by Aaron. Thank you!

CrossFit is all about community and the community here is absolutely incredible.

I dropped in to 9am on a Monday. My Lyft driver dropped me off at the front entrance. The entrance is towards the back of the building and I was a little confused but then saw people walking that direction, so it all made sense.

I was greeted right away by members. First up were heavy back squats and I was immediately approached by a member asking if I wanted to share a rack with her. That made me feel so at ease since there aren't a lot of racks. She was so friendly!

The coaching was on point and the energy levels were high. When I was walking out, I had two different members ask me if I needed a ride anywhere. How awesome is that?!

Anyway, this place has a super friendly vibe and an amazing community. I'm so happy to have dropped in here and will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

I love seeing crossfit communities thrive like this post pandemic. It's so heartwarming.

I've been doing CrossFit 8 years and have been to gyms all over the country. Love the CrossFit community everywhere, the camaraderie is some of the best I've found. But I will say CrossFit Albuquerque went above and beyond. I am traveling and was having trouble finding a gym that would host me for the masters qualifiers. Aaron welcomed me, went out of his way to get me set up, and Brandi was an awesome coach and so much fun to work with! I hope to make it back to the area soon so I can join them again.

Don’t tell the city of ABQ, but this gym may just be my favorite part of the city!

I love it - the instructors give me these tiny cues, maybe just one every once in a while, that allows me to focus on that one thing throughout the entire workout. It has made a great difference. For example, yesterday morning, with just watching 1 lift, the coach was able to pinpoint that I do not engage my glutes and hammies very well on the second phase of my pull in the snatch, and he gave me a drill to consider adding to my repertoire. Even just noticing that helped me really try to think about it during my workout. It was awesome!

I got another cue from another coach about initiating the movement of the squat from my hips was superb. Both coaches were quickly able to see how I ‘quadzilla’ through all of my work instead of engaging my posterior. That’s an amazing skill that you have from the minimal times you have seen me!

Thanks so much for having me. It’s going to be the thing I miss most when leaving. Wish I could replicate Cf ABQ back in CT/MA :)

I needed to do the second CrossFit Open WOD while I was in Albuquerque. So I reached out to CFA to see if I could drop-in for the workout. Within a hour, the awesome new owner, Coach Aaron, replied and let me know I could come in! Whew!!! :)

I used to be a member of CFA while living in ABQ so it was a pleasure to be able to drop in and see how the box was looking these days...I was not disappointed!

Everything was clean, organized with pictures of the members on the walls...which to me means the focus is on the athlete, not just the owner or a specific person.

Aaron even found the time, as an owner-athlete, to judge me!

Whether you are dropping in or gonna become a member of CFA (which I highly recommend), you wont be disappointed! Thanks Coach Aaron!

Lots to love about this gym: friendly environment, dedicated coaches, nice facility..... However, my drop in experience did not meet my expectations. I showed up 15 mins early to my class time and was locked outside (understandable due to Covid). As I get checked in, I was told to start the workout in 5 mins without any warm up or workout briefing. As a CrossFit coach and health care professional, I felt inadequately prepared and unsafe to push myself. I appreciate the hospitality, but please give us enough time to warm up.

Crossfit Albuquerque has changed the way I view exercise and actually made me like working out. I was not athletic at all before coming here. I first came because my husband liked it and I thought I would give it a try. I was super intimidated before going that it would all be muscle-men lifting heavy weights. Boy was I wrong! There are people at all different stages and I paired up with other newer ladies who didn’t have biceps either :) All of the coaches are super helpful and make you feel welcome wherever you’re at. I never felt unsafe and felt comfortable to scale the movement or the weight as needed for my level of fitness and skill. I love that every day is different, but uses the same type of movements. It keeps it interesting and fresh, but it’s also easy to see gains as it’s the same kinds of movements. I’ve been at Crossfit Albuquerque for over a year now and I can say that I’ve never been in better shape. I’m looking forward to many more years of functional fitness!

Crossfit Albuquerque was great, helped us out with a drop in session during our massive North America road trip. The facilities were great and the programming was solid, we had a nice small class at 5pm so were treated to solid attention from the coach.

I'd definitely recommend Crossfit Albuquerque to anyone looking to jumpstart their fitness programming or further progress their athletic ability.

Thanks again guys!

Dropped into CFABQ and was very surprised at the immediate welcome that I received by Joe. I had a hard time picking a gym during my visit to albuquerque because of the multitude of locations. I decided on CFABQ because of the great reviews, location, and a recommend from one of my home gym members. If you're in Albuquerque and looking for a box to drop in at do yourself a favor and check this one out. I'll be coming here all week.

Crossfit offers consistency in all of the trademarked gyms across the US, and if you are a Crossfit junky looking for a gym this review is for you. My normal Crossfit gym is in Mesa, AZ but I travel frequently. After dropping in at several gyms it is great to see the consistency upheld but also each gym's twist or personality they put into their program. I have not experienced any let downs in the gyms I have visited or, “dropped in” as it is formally named, however I have noted the difference between good coaches and great coaches. Before I drop in at gyms, I always read the reviews if any are available and if the city offers more than one gym. Albuquerque was a hard pick for me because they have numerous gyms, but the reviews are not all that helpful. Here is how I break it down for you; 1) trainers 2) location 3) fees 4) equipment and space available and 5) programs offered.
First, the trainers here are incredibly talented. They have the knowledge/training, and their interpersonal skills with their clients are bar none. I particularly worked with Joe, Emily, and Matt. Each trainer has the ability to motivate people and interact with any age person in various physical conditions. This is important in order to understand the principals of the program in order to get the most out of your workout in the safest way possible. Crossfit works for everyone and even if you have physical limitations.
Secondly, their location was easy to find, located off of I-25 and generally central to the city.
Third, their fees are consistent and pretty standard with the Crossfit Trademark.
Fourth, the equipment is in good condition, all operational, and they have the full arrangement of what is needed for Crossfit.
Lastly, and my absolute favorite is their Olympic Weight Lifting program. If you are a Crossfitter, you know that the Workout of the Day (WOD) is always something different and the fundamentals of the exercises, or techniques are specific to whatever you are doing. I am accustomed to rushing through the WOD, trying to get the best time possible for competitive purposes. I never stopped to really focus on the perfect technique and this gym offers that. Joe worked with me individually using “Coach’s Eye”, which is a smart phone app that visually displayed to me everything in my techniques. I am a visual learner, so this helped me tremendously. I would recommend the Olympic Weight Lifting program to people who are already familiar with Crossfit because this will help you with your WODs, however anyone can do it. Now that I am back at my home gym, I think a little more before rushing through the WOD. Focusing on the technique offers an entire different level of challenge.
In summary, if you have even read this far, check this gym out. I give Crossfit Albuquerque an Excellent rating in my book.
