My daughter has been dancing here since she was two years old. She has taken dance is fun, which is meant for little ones, as well as little jazz, little hip-hop, and pre-ballet. As I write this review, we are getting ready for dress rehearsal for their end of year performance. It is important to know that because it is such a large studio all communication is sent via email. This is not a problem for our family. Ms.Christy is a fabulous, knowledgeable, and professional owner. We have had a great experience throughout the years. Dimensions has given my daughter the gift of dance! We have loved the majority of the teachers, and every interaction with the front desk staff has been pleasant and professional. They also have adult fitness classes- the pound and barre classes are awesome. If you’re an adult and interested- they have classes such as tap and more for you! Beginners welcome! I’ve been wanting to do it for awhile and hope to soon. Everyone knows my daughter by first name and that means something. I trust them with my child, and I recommend dimensions dance studio to everyone! They are the best!!

We have recently joined Dimensions and LOVE everything they offer. My daughter has loved both technique and Acro classes with different teachers. As a mom, trying to squeeze in fitness between kid activities, Dimensions offers so many classes and multiple locations for adult fitness (included with a student enrollment!!!). Great value and great community.

I was nervous about my daughter taking dance lessons because I didn’t want her to be expected as a kindergartner to never twirl and giggle and be silly during dance class. Dimensions has been so perfect at balancing age appropriate behaviors with dance studio expectations. The dancers weren’t even required to do the end of the year recital which I appreciated. I also super appreciated how easily it was to do make up classes. I highly recommend Dimensions! I had no complaints.

my niece did the summer classes and loved it she would show me the little dance she did in broadway babies. I went with her on the last day and I loved how her teacher (Katie I believe was her name) had a smile on her face the entire class and treated all the kids equally. An amazing studio for your kids!

Prepaid for 8 summer classes. We missed a class, was charge 15$ no show fee .....for a class we Literally Prepaid for. Then charged again when my daughter attended the class. Ridiculous policy! I had to call to request a refund. There are so many dance school available, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else . Like where paying ONE TIME for a dance class is enough. Super money hungry here.

With a heavy heart I am writing this review for awareness. Unfortunately we live in world were individuals with disabilities may not be valued and discriminated against in certain venues. As was based on our experience attending a family event where all should be welcomed. I hope you would reach out to centers that provide education for those who do not understand the anxieties that arise for individuals with disabilities who are trying to be respectful to others who see them as different. Our experience is as follows as an event participant we are all given a stamp at the door because we are not expected to all have an individual ticket. My son was questioned and escorted to my seat due to him sitting in the wrong area as he came back into the venue and I was asked if he belonged there. When I asked the staff about it the were very unprofessional about the situation and unapologetic. He is an adult individual with special needs who is allowed to be in the community. I will have to say this was not a family friendly event! I hope in the future you would educate your staff how to approach families with kindness and awareness. Disabilities and advocacy are very important in our communities to raise awareness!!

I will start by saying that the admin staff is great - super responsive in my experience. I had scheduling issues and had to end my daughter's membership early for the year. However, I will be ceasing her attendance even earlier than planned due to the dance teacher, Katie. Since switching to her class on Sundays Katie's selective patience toward children has been evident. These are all 3 and 4 year olds, they all struggle to hold attention and follow directions but Katie is gentle and patient with those she prefers. Today I had to ask why she repeatedly swatted my child's hand away when she was reaching for a scarf and was only told "she wasn't listening so she doesn't get to pick one". During the exchange with my child Katie acted more like another 3 year old than like a grown up. Meanwhile the other kids who don't listen and ignore her instructions most of the class time literally get carried around on her hip, sat on her lap and hands held throughout the class. I have no idea why my child has not been extended some of that grace but I have extensive training in child development and know how harmful this type of differential treatment is to children's self perception. Katie should also get some education around this since it's lacking. Needless to say, I will not be bringing my child back to tolerate a supposed professional adult's immaturity and bias.

Dimensions is my daughters home away from home. I know when my daughter is at dance that she is safe in body, mind and spirit. There is a team atmosphere at Dimensions in all of the classes and teams and for all who choose to make Dimensions their dance home. Expecting the upmost from yourself and always looking out for the dancer next to you. Dance instruction is purposeful, clear and encouraging as well as fun. I enrolled my 3 years old daughter in two dance schools. Here, I also attended the adult classes, which one can access if they have a child enrolled. About the Tiny-Tots classes, my daughter had fun, but there is no clear instruction, seems the kids do what they want. I was going to give 4 stars, but in the last class we went to, the teacher leaned against the wall, while she put music to the children and watched them jump around the room... something I do at home with my daughter, and I don't expect from a dance teacher in a 45 min class. The adult classes are for people with some to a lot of experience in the styles, I somehow liked them although I don't have any experience in those styles, but the class that I could attend has been canceled sometimes. Also, when I requested the disenroll on October 10, I was informed that I will be charged for November and that I can attend the whole month because the 30 days notice policy to cancel the auto payment... in the digital age. Finally, about customer service, there is a receptionist who is very kind, but another one seems angry anytime you ask her something. And again, is true that the teacher does not take the trouble to know the names, or even to say hello... in the end it seemed to me "come in, move with the music as you can and bye." I don't know about the other classes, I've seen their recitals and they seem good, but my daughter and I far prefer the other academy where they guide her better, you can see the progress in her movements, her enthusiasm for attending the 1 hour class even though she is tired after pre-school, and with a nice welcome environment. I'll look for other options for myself.

If I could give no stars I would.. I started my daughter here, first day off class they didn’t walk out and introduce themselves nothing. They opened the class door like you were supposed to know what to do, I took my daughter in the class and the teacher did not acknowledge her what so ever. She really didn’t pay attention to any kids just walked to the front and started doing her own thing. Most kids attended a summer program and were already aware of what to do. My daughter started during a new cycle they blew her off. Didn’t acknowledge parents. They were completely unprofessional. Talked to the front desk they could care less.. This is honestly a very unprofessional school. Do not take your young child here. First day of class and I cancelled them. Horrible dance school!!!

The adult fitness classes at Dimensions are amazing! I’m hooked! All of the different BootyBarre classes are a great workout and really increase your strength and flexibility. The Pound classes are the most fun I’ve ever had while working out. If I could do Pound 7 days a week, I would! The music is fun and it makes you feel like you’ve actually got rhythm while you rock out. La Blast is another fun class that makes me feel like I’m on dancing with the stars.
My girls have also danced at Dimensions for 8 years and have loved every minute of it! They’ve had great teachers and have learned and grown as dancers. And they look forward each year to dancing on the “big stage” for their end of year performance.

I found Dimensions December 1, 2018. That was the luckiest day ever. The place I used to go closed, I was desperate to find a nice clean friendly environment. Several options to choose from. Bootybarre, Pound, Bounce, sculpt. If it’s your first class, or hundredth class you’re always welcome. You are never ever made to feel uncomfortable. Wonderful instructors. Daytime and evening classes. Including adult dance options. LA Blast, Jazz, hip hop and tap. Absolutely the best studio in the 505.

Made a music class appointment 2 weeks in advanced and confirmed. I arrived and they said they didn’t have me down. I said I would wait and they left me in the lobby waiting with no response. The girl on the front desk was no help as I had to approach her twice to ask if I should wait or if we should reschedule and she said she didn’t know. The worst experience. I purchased a Groupon for the adult fitness Booty Barre classes over a year ago and after a full summer of challenging barre classes I signed up for the unlimited monthly package. I really enjoy the variety of classes, motivating and encouraging atmosphere Dimensions offers. I am now working out on a regular basis and I feel great.

Great place for children and adults to study music. The instructors all understand and love to work with parents and children. I have been a music instructor here for over a year. I teach and keep at the studio pianos, acoustic and electric guitars, violins, ukuleles, recorders, and bass guitars (all of the instruments for which I offer lessons.) Music lessons take time and dedication, but they are a lifelong investment in a child's development and creative self expression. This environment allows them to learn among peers and to participate in recitals to showcase their learning. We offer a free trial lesson to all new students. A beginning student can learn a great deal from 30 minute lessons, especially when combined with daily practice, but longer lessons are available too. With the trio of parent, student and teacher working together, lessons become fun and engaging.

We absolutely love Dimensions!! My daughter is going on her 5th year of dance there, we have never had anything but a positive experience. The front desk staff is always very friendly and remembers us all by name. She has taken various classes with different instructors who have all been fantastic but since she started dancing when she was 2 she bonded with Ms. Stacey who she continues to take classes with, she is an awesome teacher who makes each dancer feel like they are great and gives them confidence that they can do anything. I feel that her being in dance has helped her become a strong, confident little girl which has helped her in school as well as everyday life, for that I have to say thank you to Stacey and all the instructors that influenced her! The end of the year recital has been awesome every year, you can tell Christy and the staff work hard to keep improving it. I now have my son taking drum lessons and I have been attending the fitness classes, I feel confident in saying I can recommend anything Dimensions offers because we have been so satisfied with our experience across the board. I signed up for four Music lessons through "Groupon". I would have signed up for more if I had a more positive experience. The music teacher is a great musician but didn't even have the instrument I was trying to learn...He told me he would obtain the proper instrument to aid me in learning but never showed up with one. He told me I probably wouldn't learn a whole lot being a "Groupon" customer... The lessons were 30 minutes so not a whole lot of time to learn anything. I expected a lot more from such an expensive business but got very little. A waste of my time and money. I didn't even go back for the final lesson. When I called in to cancel my last lesson the young lady that I spoke with didn't ask why she just stated ok. She didn't seem to care. I guess it doesn't pay to be a "Groupon" customer.

Your kids won't be a name here, just a dollar sign. Tuition for two kids is way too expensive for a 30 minute class with subpar instruction. Bills constantly wrong after we moved studios and their cancellation policy stinks. Never saw the owner. High school instructors just interested in getting your kids' class out and the next one in. Never felt warm or welcoming. We are much happier at a different studio - same price, better instruction and an hour long class. The owner is very involved, too - unlike the kiddie factory going on here.

I agree with Brickleys!! Dimensions is the absolute best dance company in Albuquerque. Period. The staff is always polite and focus on the children enjoying dance. My oldest daughters very first teacher was Mrs. Christy herself. And on the days my daughter didn't feel like dancing, Mrs. Christy explained to me, the pushy parent that at age 3, kids don't always want to participate and ensured me that my daughter would participate when she was ready. And she did! Both of my daughters attended classes and performed in the recitals since they were 3 years old. We were part of the company for 6 years before relocating. We watched their business blossom, their end of year performances get better every year all while the staff remained professional and dedicated to the children. They provide encouragement, implement fun and help nurture the children's passion for dance. We didn't have a single negative experience. They're not baby sitters. I've seen parents drop their children off and leave the building to carry on with their busy lives. All while missing out on the mini recitals the children do for their parents periodically and the excitement on their child's face when they learn something new. This is a classroom environment with multiple students, so if you're looking for one on one classroom time, you may want to speak to the staff for a possible accommodation for what I would expect an additional fee. Only fair if a teacher is willing to take time from their day to cater to you. Not only did we love the staff, our daughters did as well. The fact that Mrs. Christy taught our oldest daughter for only one year while she was 3, but could look at my husband every year as he would pick both of our daughters up at the end of year show, know his face and deliver our daughters (without asking their names) to him safely is proof that their clients matter to them. This was 5 years after her weekly interaction with our family. My youngest daughter LOVED Mr. Kalem and was sad to leave his class when our family relocated. The passion that the staff has for dance and education was expressed every single time we encountered them. I've been searching for a dance company in our new city and fear that my love and appreciation for Dimensions is clouding my ability to choose a company for my daughters. I reached out to Dimensions, requesting suggestions for companies comparable to Dimensions and received feedback without hesitation. No longer a part of the company, our family is still being treated with respect and kindness. Don't take just anyone's word ... even mine. Take your child to visit the studio. Let them participate in a FREE trial class. Taste the greatness that is Dance Dimensions. You won't be sorry that you did!!

The End of Year Shows (recitals) are second to none, are an amazing experience for the kids, and actually very entertaining for the audience.

The staff is knowledgeable and professional. The facilities are clean.

Let's be honest, most of the people who leave a bad review are upset because of a tuition issue or a perceived slight that probably could have been resolved if anyone remembered how to talk as a mature adult anymore. Screaming and kicking won't get you far anywhere. The folks at Dimensions have always been willing to listen and try to solve concerns we've had.

Do yourself a favor and check them out. Don't take anonymous unverified reviews as gospel (even mine!). Anyone can figure out how to leave reviews whether they've been to a business or not. Just go there and check it out!
