Advertises "$29.99" buy real rate is $50 or more depending on contract. The big red logo gym right next door offers same rate but with pool, sauna, and hot tub. Also has many locations to use all around town. Seems like Elite raised rates to try to save revenue from membership loss. Response for rate increase is that "I would be paying for the luxury of not waiting on equipment". There is almost never a wait at the bigger and nicer gym next door. Skip elite. Go to the NM brand name and get all the luxuries of a real gun with multiple locations.

I’ve been a member of this gym for quite some time now, and I can confidently say that I’ve never encountered any issues with the staff or other members. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and supportive. I highly recommend this gym! Additionally, the bodybuilding community here appears to be highly knowledgeable and helpful. (I’m a powerlifter myself.)

I've been really impressed with this gym. The facility is always spotless, which makes working out here so much more enjoyable. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind-they're always ready to answer questions or offer support. One of the best things is the 24/7 access, which makes it super convenient no matter what my schedule looks like. I've been a member at this gym for a few years now, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The facility is always clean, the equipment is well-maintained, and there's never a long wait to use the machines — even during peak hours.

Really during open hours you close the only room I wanted from this membership for some class when the other half of the room is unused. The back room us the ONLY reason I joined. Supper uncool. Then when the membership is cancelled they take out an addition 100$ when they say I'm going to get a refund of 93$. Then when I finally get my 100$ the 93$ was never refunded. Three weeks later and still nothing. This is a 193.00 mistake and a simple sorry isn't sufficient. This is highly unprofessional and two mistakes that could impact my account and personal life are unacceptable. These mistakes are back to back and blaming the computer is a joke. Some one should be auditing their accounts, and they should be the ones finding it not me!!!!

I wanted to add to this review now that the owner decided to message 6 years later on wanting to rectify the situation. I have forgotten about this gym. but a reply 6 years later really made me laugh at this point. the time to respond should have been within a few days, and not over half a decade. with such a delay in response should show how much the owner actually cares not only about their members. maybe this could be a turning point for them and their member service, but it's a bad image come in way too late. I'm now a part of the home gym community and don't see myself changing that any time soon.

Elite Physique Gym is the best gym I've ever been to and here are the reasons why:

1) The customer service is top tier.

-I was nervous to sign up and Jade was kind and welcoming. She walked me through the gym to help make me more comfortable and helped me sign up with ease.

-Anita, the owner is respectful to every gym goer! You can tell she takes great pride in helping the community and she's very approachable with any feedback or questions you may have.

-Jordan is full of energy and bubbly. She's always taking great care of the gym, cleaning up, making sure everything is stocked. She really adds the personal touch and knows everyone's names!

2) The community

-Being newer to using these machines can be nerve-racking, but the community is so strong here. You can literally ask anyone for help and you'll make a new friend, while also getting your workout in!

-Every morning multiple people greet me and say good morning, it's something I really look forward to! I've never experienced this at commercial gyms.

3) The equipment

-There is plenty of equipment for everyone to use. Multiple stair masters, treadmills, cable machines, leg press & squat machines. They also have a hip thrust machine, smith machine, plenty of free weights & MORE!

4) The group workouts classes

-There are multiple group workouts classes that are completely free for Elite members. These are beginner friendly, and they are FUN!!!

5) Last but not least: DAYCARE!

-If you're a busy mom or dad and don't have a chance to breakaway without your kids, their daycare option while you workout is AMAZING! Feel free to peek in and check on your littles once in a while while working out.

Final thoughts:

I am so beyond excited to continue my journey at this gym. I can definitely say this place feels like home!! If you read this whole review, just join LOL, you will be happy you did!!

Signed a 12 month contract with the gym, great gym and environment! But I’ve been getting charged after the end of my contract, been in contact with workers for a week now about why I’m still being charged or if my account is finally cancelled, I have been told they will be calling me back. I chose to join Elite after extensive research and consideration, including visits to multiple other gyms. And boy, did I ever choose correctly! This gym is fantastic in all ways. First, the equipment is top-notch and AVAILABLE to use...I have gone morning, afternoon, and evenings and have never had to skip an exercise due to overcrowding. Second, the people are so nice: both staff and other members. Everyone is so welcoming. Third, the general manager (Jordan) is great...so helpful, so professional, and has created such a positive vibe at this gym, and especially in the group fitness classes that I am overwhelmed with gratitude. The trainers I've worked with so far are awesome (Jordan and Deanna). Fourth: The membership fees are fair and definitely reflect significant value and an excellent investment in health and well-being.
Fifth: the gym is super CLEAN!! Sixth: The gym is open 24 hours/day!

My family has been a member since it opened. There are machines that have been broken for over 6 years. I mentioned that fact to my son and was overheard by an employee who then told Anita, the owner. She revoked my membership for staying a true fact about the broken row machine. That is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to complaints about the owner. It was a great gym at one time, no longer.

P.S. The machine wasn't being used by me. It was Kevin, who you know is disabled. It's unsafe for him to use it. I haven't worked out there in years because Defined is MUCH better. Again, you are lying. Charlie worked there for longer than he should have, and it. Was. Broken. You seriously are a pathological liar. You lie as a realtor, and I have texts to prove it. And yes, you are correct, I have zero respect for someone who sends inappropriate texts to my husband. I have proof. Have the success you deserve! The restrictive hours for Presbyterian gym memberships (Prime) keeps me from coming here more often. Fortunately the other gym I frequent doesn’t have these restrictions and I end up going there way more often even though it’s busier. I have been to the gyms in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, and I think Elite Gym is the best so far. They are open 24/7, which is a plus, and that's why they are never too full of people like other gyms. While people cram in at the last minute at other gyms before closing time, making them always so full, Elite Gym is open 24/7, so I never see it super full. Also, Elite Gym is huge. The best service here is the daycare. Their care for my baby is above and beyond, and I can tell that my baby loves spending time with them a lot. It’s also a local gym business, so if anything happens, you can talk to the owner and get it resolved quickly. I have been to Defined Fitness, and it took me at least four months to get my problem solved. The staff at Elite Gym is very friendly and helpful. I really love this gym.

This gym is what a gym should look like and feel like. There was friendly staff and the energy in the room was very communal. Their wasn't a piece of equipment I was longing for, they had everything I like to work out with. The equipment was clean and I saw everyone participating in the and not just expecting staff to maintain and respect the facility. The weights were put back in the right place, omg that blew my mind haha. I live in LA and I wish we had a gym like this out here instead of dirty over crowded social media shows. Many companies nowadays rely on microtransactions, charging 5, 10, sometimes up to 20 dollars for monthly fees.

This Gym is very different! Signing up here puts you at risk for fees ranging from $40 to $150 EXTRA! The owner has made it her goal to soak up as much money and sympathy from the community as possible before going under.
Signing up with Elite Physique has shown me how much of a blessing Planet Fitness truly is.

!!!Please take it from someone who has been lifting weights for over 5 years, old people and annoying teenagers at any other gym 100% beats the experience you'll have at Elite!!!

Inattentive staff refusing to do the bare minimum, very little customer service (what little you receive will be rude and patronizing), and overall no unique qualities make this gym one of the most expensive mistakes I've ever made.

I was on my own plan and decided to get a family plan because it was cheaper than two separate plans. It never panned out that way. Every month, I was held in captivity by the service desk because my payment didn’t go through. Finally, after a few months, they realized we were on two separate plans. Frustratingly, I continued trying to work out. It’s kind of a small gym that is not cleaned enough. The door doesn’t work half the time, and good luck getting anyone to open for it during evening hours. The customer service is sub par. I am not going to download the app, the door should work.

The people on the treadmill will see you struggle with getting into the gym. It is a 70% chance they will avoid contact with you. You will be stuck waiting until someone comes out.

Favorite part about Elite is probably the kids club. The employees are always so attentive and playful with the kids. They always have space to play. The gym itself has all the essentials needed and even heavy dumbbells and ample barbells to use. There’s an awesome backroom with deadlift platforms and squat racks in addition to the ones on the main floor. There’s also punching bags and even more dumbbells/barbells
In the back too. The crowd is spread throughout the day so there’s always space to workout vs commercial gyms being over crowded. Front desk employees are amazing and friendly. Best gym I’ve been too. I went to Chuze and Defined before in the past and there not as good as this gym. A hottub/pool area and maybe even a sauna would be really cool to have but I get it’s a local gym and not a franchise. They make up for it with everything else though. The atmosphere is great, it’s a very hardworking atmosphere compared to my previous gyms. The back room is my favorite place to workout, due to the feel of it. The place isn’t HUGE but it’s plenty big. The staff are amazing here and the manager is really nice. I think my favorite aspect is that it’s 24 hours.

Such a great gym to go to! It’s extremely clean and we have never had any trouble with waiting for anything. The gym is never overly packed and we usually go at 5:30-6PM. We also bring our daughter who stays in the daycare area and she absolutely loves it in there. I'm not even sure if I would bother stopping by the gym since their customer service sucks... I have been emailing Elite since February to cancel one of my memberships on my family account and they have just ignored me. At I went in to the gym and they said they only can cancel memberships via email. Then finally they responded about 2 or 3 weeks ago for proof of the communications I sent so I sent them all of them. Now the are ignoring me again. In the communication in April I asked for all of my memberships to be canceled if this is how they are going to do business. The reason I am giving a one star is that I just got charged again for the memberships I canceled in February. Don’t trust this company they won’t stop charging you if you want to cancel.

This is my family go to gym back in my home town. Each time I visit they keep their routine and I get to workout with them. Facility is clean, friendly, well equipped and lots of space.

I used to go to Planet fitness and regret the change to Elite.

I used to have 24 hours access, free hair cuts and free classes from a trainer. Initially joined Elite because my siblings and friends go there but after signing up for their VIP contract, I regret it. Sure, there's a free consultation with a professional who can help guide you but after that the classes cost additional fee's and I only have 24 hour access, something that's only 10$ a month at Planet fitness. My main issue is the buyout fee which at the time I lasted asked about it, was 200$. I can't currently afford to pay the buyout fee so I'm stuck paying late fee's on top of the regular 48$ monthly. I don't understand why my siblings pay a premium to attend this gym.

I was hooked the moment I walked into the door!! From the front desk to the elite level trainers and owners, they all make you feel welcome! Excellent small group classes that push you to be better! The gym only called me once to collect my payments for two months of late payments so they decided to charge me double my regular payments, I was more than willing and in full agreement to pay my regular monthly fee. The gym didn't take that into consideration. I work in the line of customer service and treat help my customers so they will continue to ask me and recommend me, but with Elite my credit card expired and I got a new one i didn't realize it until after getting a late call about it and they weren't willing to give me the customer service for a mistake i was willing to pay my regular payments for. They wanted more money from me even though I paid on time every month for over a year and because one incident that was a honest mistake they want to charge me extra for that.

Best gym in Albuquerque area!!! You find all the equipment you need to train. I trained there during a trip to Albuquerque and the staff was incredible nice. They are open 24 hours and you can even bring your kids as they have an area.

This gym has terrible management and customer service skills. They do not take customers complaints and safety into any consideration. When we expressed our concern we were told multiple times a manager would get back to us. No manager ever would call us back to hear our concerns. This went one for over a month. Our family finally cancelled our membership and went elsewhere.

Who the heck needs a heater on to work out and why keep the gym at 72 degrees???? Its bad because half the people dont wipe their equipment off when they are done and cold/flu season so yeah let's get your core temperature up and then go outside in the cold and get pneumonia.... and thanks for ignoring every issue I've ever brought up by the way I guess Pat Robertson has an all access pass because he is AWAYS on, like who the hell wants to look at that old racist period.

I’m very disappointed in the lack of professionalism from this HIGHLY recommend gym. I approached Steven on instagram through a mutual friend because I wanted to compete and the gym was recommended. We talked regularly until I paid and then he just fell off the face of the earth. I even told him I would be up in Albuquerque (I’m from Roswell) to introduce myself And he never responded to tell me that he wouldn’t be available or not to waste my time. I didn’t hear back from him after he received my payment for about two weeks and when i did he gave me a “meal plan for a FEW weeks” and I’m going on THREE months and haven’t heard from him once after trying to contact him. FEELL CHEATED!
