Prek does not correct children when incorrect. Lots of goofing around in general. Will look elsewhere

My daughter Rachel has been part of the competitive team now for four years and I really cannot say enough good things about the way this gym is run. It is a very fair program where each child is given a great chance to excel. I'm grateful for her wonderful coaches who have shown great patience and love to her.

The teachers are fantastic and the facilities are top notch! We started my daughter here at 2 and she’s painfully shy when meeting new people. Within minutes of class starting, the teachers had her smiling and slapping high fives. A year later, she asks to go. We love Gold Cup!

My family and I love this gym. Best decision we made was putting our girls in gymnastics at gold cup. The coaching staff is amazing the owner is amazing. It has been an overall wonderful experience for us. The girls love their coaches, and watching their hard work pay off makes it all worth it. Thank you all of the coaches for taking your time with my babies, and for helping Janessa pursue her dream as a gymnast. We definitely recommend going to gold cup if you want loving hard working coaches who not only cares about your child, but pushes them to be the best they can be.

I have 3 small children attending. The girls often complained about how easy the classes were. The boys classes seemed more challenging. Overcrowded waiting areas, somewhat disorganized with scheduling and big parking problem are the main reasons for the 3 star rating. The staff is friendly and nice.

I trained here years ago, and it was the start of a great time. I learned the basics from the coaches here, I remember going to elephant beaut (spelling?) with the coaches as a reward or something. When I moved I was a bit sad yes, but because of the training I received there I quickly became a level 8 gymnast trained by Coach Zoltan in Las Vegas. Im 19 now and can do things I used to dream about. This place was my childhood, and was an amazing place where I learned I had a lot of talent with gymnastics. The negative reviews are most likely from people who are new to gymnastics and the way things are done.

I also can't believe the negative comments mentioned, but after reading on these people have no clue. First off if you've been to most gyms in town parking is always an issue ( sorry you can't always have up front parking) and the majority have bleachers, enough of the pitty stuff.
We started our daughter at another gym and you'll get a good start at any gyms in town they are all great. But we were looking for that extra edge for our daughter and Gold Cup was that gym. We were reluctant at first because of the "rumors" we always heard from parents and such, so we decided to find out for ourselves and were very pleased to find the best gym in the State. All the coached are previous level 9 of higher gymnast and Ed is a former men's Olympic coach. The coaches, staff and anyone associated with GC have been very welcoming and caring for our daughter and our family. If you want the best for you boy or girl please don't listen to rumors or beginner parents start you kids here at GC and watch them develop in the proper and safe way in competitive gymnastics.

I almost can't believe all the bad reviews that Gold Cup is getting. Are you even talking about the right gym? I am a 14 year-old gymnast in the level 4 competitive team and I love the time I spent there. I absolutely love the staff, and the coaches. The coaches are supposed to give your child constructive criticism to help make them better. Them being so strict helps us do better in meets and to do better overall. But I do have to admit the seating area is a little uncomfortable. When I first moved to NM I went to SAGA but left after I felt like they didn't push me hard enough. And when I got to Gold Cup that's when my skills skyrocketed. I went to getting 3rd overall to being State Champion in my age group in level 3! I most definitely recommend Gold Cup for your child. I think they would do great here. Come join the Gold Cup family!

This place is somewhat irritating. Parking is a nightmare. You are better off parking in the parking structure across the street. People (even the employees) habitually use the handicapped parking. A police officer would have a heyday writing tickets to the unusually large amount of lawbreakers dropping their kids off. I never see this kind of behavior anywhere else.

The lobby is tiny so if you pick up your kid, be prepared to wait outside. The kids place their shoes in bins in the lobby so it is a pain for the kids to get to their stuff because of the idiot parents packed in there. It is just a big clusterbomb of stupid. They have an uncomfortable set of bleachers to watch your kids if you want to. I quit doing that almost right away. I love watching my kids but a backache is standard issue in this place.

The payment schedule isn't simplified. You have your monthly dues auto-deducted. There is no other option. And, on top of that they charge you an annual "equipment fee" or some such idiocy. Why not just wrap all the fees into what I am charged? Just charge me a monthly fee and be done with it.

They also "encourage" you to volunteer during the tournaments. They tell you that you must volunteer or they will charge you more. How nice. I guess I will volunteer then. Oh wait! I don't have to take my kids to this place! And, I don't anymore.

The beginners level is fine but high school tumbling a joke!!!! Coach is unprofessional and clearly there for her regulars who are advanced. If you're new to tumbling find another gym. My daughter left defeated and to top it off the coach was making fun of her. These are supposed to be professionals, well they are anything but. I will be pulling my 6 year old as well and take my money and kids somewhere else. Wish I could rate this a 0.

If I could rate lower than a 1 I would. The staff is unhelpful and incompetent when trying to solve any enrollment issues. The instructors do not progress the children in a timely manner thus causing kids to digress in their skills. My kids have been going there for almost 2 years without any new skill advancement. I do not recommend this organization to anyone. Try to locate a different facility before attempting to contact Gold Cup.

This is a wonderful gym family. We had the pleasure of being stationed here for a year before the military moved us on. During that year, we had three girls on team so that meant they were able to work with most of their coaches. Burch and his team were caring, dedicated, and just great at coaching gymnastics. We would come back in a heartbeat.

My little one lasted a month. Kept complaining that the coaching staff is harsh. I get it, they use a strict demeanor to establish excellence. I'd say your child has to have that driven-athlete mindset and the maturity for this place. It's great if you're wanting a gymnast, but for a little one just starting out maybe not. Like the previous commentor, the gym does not cater to parents sticking around to watch once class begins bc the reception area is quite tiny for the business they do & the parking lot is a mess. Great for the serious, mature, & driven athlete though. Also stringent cancellation policies.

We moved to Gold Cup Gymnastics March 2016 because they were the only gym in Albuquerque to offer the TOPS program. It was one of the smartest choices we made for our daughter. Her overall technique, form and confidence blossomed and her coaches are amazing. She loves her teammates and her coaches but most of all she loves being challenged. I would recommend anyone who wants the best gymnastics coaching to give Gold Cup a call, you'll be happy you did.

My son was in the toddler class. The instruction was OK, not great, but fun for him and he attended for about 4 months.

Problems started when I wanted to dis-enroll him. I left a letter and told his coach that he would no longer attend starting in June. They require that you pay with auto pay. I was charged for June and assumed it was because I did not give enough notice, irritating but whatever. Then I was charged for July, which I disputed with my credit card company. I called and was told I needed to come by and fill out paperwork to dis-enroll him, that they were going to dispute my dispute, and that I would owe for two weeks beyond that date and that then they would cease auto payment. WHAT?!? No, I dis-enrolled him in two months prior. I am not going to give you signed paperwork to charge me for two months he didn't even attend!

Long story short I just got off the phone with my credit card company disputing an AUGUST charge. I have changed my credit card account and am now wondering if they're going to come after my with collections! Beyond ridiculous.
