They have all the equipment I use, it's very spacious, people are more friendly and they have the best black card spa, and the place is definitely looking better. The new manager is doing a good job on overall appearance, It's important to have a positive atmosphere for everyone. And members and staff all together make that happen. I have tried to cancel my Planet Fitness membership 4 (FOUR!!) different times. First I was told I need to go to my home gym (which closed, but apparently I was transferred to a random location). So I went there to cancel, but both times the signature pad was broken. I transferred my membership to this location so I could cancel it. Today I was told that the manager Matthew does not allow his employees to cancel memberships. I have to come back in when Matthew is on shift. It is a JOKE how hard it is to cancel this membership for a crappy gym. I wish I could give a negative star rating. At this point, I will just cancel my debit card since it is impossible to cancel the actual membership. Don’t sign up for a membership! It is purposely impossible to cancel.

I have a fitness pass through my insurance and they signed me up wrong (which is fine it was a mistake) but billing called me and said I had a past due.. when they realized it was through my insurance they said the front desk would have to fix it. They transferred me. I get on the phone and say hi and the guy just goes “hi” and I’m like ummm did she tell you what was going on? And he was like yes I’m waiting for you to speak and I was like ok???? lol and he was like what’s your number and I went to tell him and he was sooooooo rude omg !!!!!!!! I used to love this location when it first opened but it’s steadily gone down hill. The ac hasn’t been working for weeks, the water coolers they’re using don’t cool it off and make it so humid in the gym and they smell awful. It’s too hot to not have ac in a public gym in the middle of July. Then, they have people walking around BAREFOOTED, making the whole purple room stink like feet and nobody says anything. Not only is that a safety hazard but it’s also a health hazard, have you never heard of athletes foot?? If you have the time to post your attire rules you need to enforce them as well. It’s also very dirty, there are constantly dust bunnies EVERYWHERE, and they’re big clots of dust, you can’t tell me workers haven’t seen them. I set my cold water bottle down on the ground and it has condensation on it and all the dust bunnies from the ground get stuck to my water. It’s disgusting.

Been happy with this location and then one on Las Estancias in SV. Both are kept clean. I avoid the busiest hours and only occasionally have a short wait for a machine or two. Staff usually give a friendly greeting. They don’t blast music super loud. I have no high expectations. It’s a budget gym (yes with “hidden fees” inc joining fees and an annual fee on top of the cheap monthly fees - it’s still a good deal. )No classes. No meat market. I like my black card perks. I always keep my car keys and phone on me. If you are seriously into weightlifting go to Liberty. If you want a social scene go to the packed Chuze.

I like to read reviews on different places I either want to try out or plan on becoming a member to. Unfortunately after the PETTY response to this Alice review that management posted, i will not join this location and also will not renew our 6 memberships for everyone in our home.

Our home gym was at another location and we are all trying to figure a new gym after our move. People do have a say where their money is spent and another gym I suppose will get ours. They need to be professional and a manager should NOT antagonize a PAYING customer after the lady had back up evidence of these employees. I’ve been to almost all Planet Fitness locations in Burqué. I enjoy this location better than most bc of its configuration & space. CrossFit room is huge. I don’t use the red/green light circuit room but they have one (I heard those circuit rooms are being done away with…?). There’s a Cryogenic bed, which I believe is the only one in town & newer Hydro beds.

As big and new as this place is, the upkeep has a lot to be desired. Most of the cable equipment is old and clearly from other Planet Fitness locations around town and the men’s bathroom is almost always a mess. I got all my belongings stolen at this gym (7200 Montgomery Blvd NE) from the locker. cash, glasses, credit and debit card stolen from my gym bag that was inside the locker. I had locked my locker, and upon returning, I found it busted open and my belongings missing.
Gym crew said the systems were down and they could not verify whether people inside the gym were members or not.
i would avoid this gym.
nothing was done, manager did not reach out to me. I cancelled my membership.
Bottom line, I would avoid business with PLanet Fitness because THEY CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY while you're there.

Systems were down and nobody knows whether gym goers that day were members or not - very Very concerning from a safety perspective.

I liked the services of planet fitness however, recently the lockers at this location where tore off the wall and all the guys id's, debit cards, money, and electronics where stolen. It was interesting that this was the only day their systems where down and they where just having people sign in. This was obviously not a member. They tell you not to have bags on the floor but then have cheap lockers that don't protect your belongings. Super disappointed as this was expensive and tine consuming to resolve. Their staff was not helpful about the situation at all

Vince the manger always has a big smile on his face and is either helping someone or personally cleaning the gym, the guy is a super star. I haven't memorized many of the other staff members names yet but Manny is awesome as well as the the guy that always wears the hat. Worst customer service I have ever experienced from a gym club. When I walked in I was polite and said good morning, I would like to sign up. Then out of nowhere, she started to put her finger in my face and shush me. How rude! After that, she was like what's up what can I do for you? I'm already ticked off and was again kind to her and said I would like to sign up. She said my system is down and I cannot sign anyone. From that point, I left and went to Chuze Fitness and signed up for their club membership. Completely different atmosphere! Was greeted with a friendly gesture while they were busy. Should be a 24/7 gym like the majority of locations throughout the US. I've been here multiple occasions where they kicked everyone out early on the weekends and there were at least 50+ people still trying to work out. New location, best location, I have been to mostly all the PF's in the SE,NE and SW, of albuquerque locations, this location is the best, love the staff they are polite, the gym is spacious and bright, some other locations are dark and clammy. This location is clean and well stocked. Keep up the great work!!

Quick update since the last review been a couple of months, and in the last 2-3 weeks, I have noticed a slight decrease in the cleanliness of the equipment, I originally loved coming here because it was clean and my allergies didn't really bother me but now since the dust has accumulated on equipment my allergies are flaring up a bit more.

Initially I thought this is a good gym from all the fake reviews, they are absolute nightmare to deal with. Staff don't care about your problems, and they are most unfriendly in any gym I have been to. Their app is worst it declined payment multiple times and just charged me late fee multiple times. The hilarious part is PF doesnt have customer service despite of a big name and you have to dela with your gym manager for everything. 90% of time he doesn't know what to do and I ended up suffering. You cannot cancel their subscription, you just can't.

I like the new location. It feels much safer. I also like that that they added the open space area in the back of the gym with kettlebells, light weights, TRX, etc. Everything is clean and new. He didn't allow us entry... it's not my fault that he was having a bad day and treated me the way he did. I have been attending this location for 4 months and this person treated me badly and kicked me out of the place. Starting today I am canceling my membership with Planet Fitness. It had been a pleasure to be there, but after today because this man treated me so rudely, I am canceling my membership!!
