Genuinely feeling dejected to know that this location is closing. I've been going here for over two and a half years and was hoping to continue going. Staff is always friendly and they keep the place clean and well stocked. Always pretty lively when I've gone, too. There's not many gyms in this area of town and this was my little corner in the north valley to workout. Really sad to see it go.. Grateful for the time here though.

Very sad to see this location is closing down. In the evenings, Arik has been nothing short of supportive and encouraging in my weight loss/fitness journey. He is also very helpful when my kids come to work out for the summer, assisting them in properly using the equipment. I really hope he is able to transfer to another location so my business can stay with PF.

I hear this location is closing its doors soon due to lack of revenue and it's probably too late to save this location but it's corporates lazy fault for not promoting like they should, lots of people depend on this particular location and customers will cancel their memberships or go to other fitness centers, It's nice to have places like this where you can work out, build yourself, work at your own pace, and enjoy all the extras, WiFi, TV, chair massage, hydro massage, rewards, tanning, showers, and usually friendly staff. You can also bring a friend, guest or family member with the black card.

I’m a truck driver so parking is first concern. Parking could be tough but you will be able to find something but not in the front. Showers hot, water fountain cold, all equipment is good. Laundry and grocery in the shopping center as well is a plus for us truckers. I will be back thanks

I just want to share that Abby is a great asset for Planet fitness, she is very honest, she is very accommodating to everyone that comes in. She aims to make everyone right at home. Im from out of town I have been working out
Here for a least two months while working here, and was asked to get off the phone today or take my conversation to the suppose lobby that was less than 5 ft from me. Crazy enough I always come here for my 1 hour incline walk after Pilates or cycle and chit chat on the phone and no one has ever said anything to me. While all this is going on I turn around and see several people have loud conversations I can hear with headphones on behind me on the treadmill. I think if this is a “policy” than you might as well have no talking policy as well.

All these bad reviews are wild. I've been going for here for about 3 years now and even after moving I still continue to go to this location due to the fact that the staff is nice and welcoming. The gym is clean and is cleaned multiple times daily yes machines get broken but are always fixed in a timely manner. Complainers will complain. 😴🙏🏻🤷🏽

For me, as a new comer to the gym, I love the Planet Fitness I go to. I suffer from gym intimidation and it's really hard for me to figure out all the machines but I love the tutorials on you tube.

I was harassed by a worker “Jessica” very rude!!! I had a business meeting I was listening to and said yes twice. She came and rudely told me two different times to get off my phone. I've been a member for almost 15 years and ALWAYS wear my polarized UV sunglasses in the tanning room.
But Jessica, the new club manager at 4th Street gym, has taken it upon herself to be a dictator and refuse me my tan because I won't buy their 5.00 goggles, which I've already bought and don't work as well. Unfortunately, I won't be back to this gym because she was beyond rude, and her customer service needs a lot of work!

I’m done here. I have talked to the manager about the unfriendly morning staff and never being able to use the tanning bed. The staff is never at the desk to set up these services. Today I went over there at opening and no one is there. I ended up leaving along with others. The issues aren’t being addressed so I’ll just go to another Planet Fitness and you should too.

I have been going to this planet fitness since May 2023 and I have enjoyed it! I’ve never had an issue with the staff! There are times when some equipment doesn’t work but there are plenty of other equipment that can be used! The building is older so the AC is not the best but it’s never prevented me from getting my workout in! Most of the time when I go, I see that the staff is cleaning an area or restocking! This location is smaller so when it's busy it can be a bit overwhelming, but once you go enough times you can figure out when the best time for you to go is!

I tried canceling for months they continued to bill me. I was told a pause would be on my account until I got back in town from my son being sick and it was never paused. The account was never notes. Then the store manager Jessica said she was putting in a refund request and never did when I called to check again I was told it was never noted. They said she would call me, I never got called back. I called and it picks up and hangs right up, no one even speaks before hanging up. The new management is terrible, the last guys was AMAZING. Horrible choice to change to Jessica. Now have to file with the BBB.

It's clean. Can get sometimes busy and they had a phase with a lot of broken running machines. Most annoying is they don't enforce the 30min workout circle to stay free for those who do want to do a quick circle workout. Always packed with people blocking same machine for 20mins

I use PF while traveling for work and leisure. The men’s showers at this location had 3 stalls. 2 of the 3 were not operational and did not have an “out of order” indication. The 3rd stall was the ADA stall and only has a hose with no shower head. I needed the shower before going directly to work, and this was barely suitable.

The staff is really friendly and helpful! They live up to Planet Fitness’ motto. There was some dumb guy that harassed and chased me out of the machine I was using because he wanted to use it when there was another one. It often feels like you're in a sauna here. They don't skimp on the fees they charge or when they are applied, but they most certainly skimp on the quality of air they provide. There's an overwhelming amount of elliptical equipment, NOT enough stairwell** equipment. This location is the dumping ground for gym equipment from other facilities that has a higher guest turnout than this one. There is no balance, and the music played is trash most of the time. It does not motivate/inspire the workout.

I have had a black care membership the past 3 years. And I rarely go to planet fitness a I live 2.5 hours away from a planet fitness. But ie used it for a shower while traveling and I try to get a hydro message Everytime I see a PF. This one is very nice.

My only criticism is that, unlike almost every planet fitness I've been to..... There's NO private changing area in the locker room. Maybe it's a regional thing, but having moved here from the east coast where every planet fitness had either a changing area attached to the shower cubicles, or a few stalks across from them... I feel very uncomfortable having to bare everything or try to put my dry clothes on in the wet shower stall...

There's even a big space across from the showers that could easily, cheaply, have a couple cubicles added for some privacy.

I ususlly workout while on break from work, no time to go home to shower.... Makes me a lot more hesitant to now :/

Regular planet fitness, friendly people and good equipment but the place needs a deep cleaning. Men’s shower current had at least 3 types of mold on it and the floor needs a good mopping. Funny everyone is particular about wiping down the equipment (which is good) but the staff needs to pay attention to keeping it clean.

This is purely on the experience with the yearly membership fee. I received no notification message about an annual fee being charged. So even if this was discussed at the start of my membership you should still be alerting of this transaction. 40 dollars is alot to pull out of people's account on the first when rent is due. This review is for the 4th Street location in ABQ. This spot has always had a nice, chill vibe. The staff is friendly. They are helpful too. The workout area is always clean. The crowd is friendly and laid-back. I have never had a negative experience at this club. Jake and Chris are great staff members who make everyone feel welcome. This is my favorite Planet Fitness club in town. I have never seen it so packed that you couldn’t get on the machine you wanted to get on. It’s also nice because you can go to the grocery store that’s in the same shopping center.

This gym will never stop charging you. I sent a letter and have tried calling and they just refuse to stop unless you pay money to send a CERTIFIED LETTER. Or they will force you to come into the gym so that you can have the pleasure of being pressured into keeping the membership. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Their rating was already a D-.

I would have gave 5 but this last experience has been horrible and really shown what kind of company they are we had been trying to cancel our membership for months now and we had to go through so many people over just to do that. Then when we cancelled it they kept billing us and so we reported it to our credit card and so they stopped payments. Now they want proof we cancelled the membership.... Us saying we don't want it is proof. My husband can't use the membership because he got ran over and I take care of him full time. You guys should be ashamed, your complete lack of empathy, respect, and professionalism is something I hope no one else has to deal with especially being in a position like ours or any position. We have been trying to cancel my father in laws and my husband's subscription to planet fitness and they either keep billing us or ask us to show proof we cancelled it.
