Solid gym, nice selection of new and old school machines and free weights, with an added bonus of equipment for power lifters. Owner is super helpful and friendly and was there late and I was able to get a day pass pretty easily. Gym has a nice traditional feel and has motivation posted around the building.

Friendly staff. Up to date equipment. Very clean. They also have individual disinfectant spray bottles available for use with an abundant amount of clean towels. There is also an outside work out area.

This is the ONLY gym for serious lifters. Love the atmosphere and great members who are super friendly. However, if you’re the type of person who likes to post/scroll social media, socialize and occupy a machine for minutes as you “rest” find a different place. This is a great “old school” where people come to support each other but don’t mess around. Lift or go home.

The equipment and machines here are subpar despite this gym being one of the pricier in town. Definitely behind on maintenance. Rude manager (owner?), likes to talk badly about other members and clearly needs therapy. Someone recommended I use a credit card to sign up, and I'm so glad I did. They charged an extra month after I canceled. Easy fix with a credit card (backcharge) but much harder with a debit card (you'll have to cancel your debit card to stop getting charged!!).

I was surprised by the types of training equipment this gym carries. I was in the area for a few months and this gym met all the serious gym rat needs. Specialty bars, plenty of clean towels, old school hard core charm, clean facility, and no shortage of weight.

Very AWESOME gym! I was only in town for a couple of days and tried this place out. If you are the type that likes a good old fashioned workout you will love this place. It has new equipment mixed with some of the old nostalgic equipment which I thought was awesome not only to see but to actually use and imagine several bodybuilders have thrown those same weights around. With that said, it does have a lot of the newer equipment so this location fits anyones style of workout. I didn't want to dissuade anyone from going here. The staff is great and their apparel is top notch. Had to pick up a shirt for the memory.

Attendant / owner (whoever I interacted with) is really nice. Day pass is *as of this review* 11$ it may change in the future but since they do not have a website figured it may be a good idea to give others an idea of price. I went for a shower as we had a water heater blowup at home. Showers are clean, bathroom is nice, shower stall is double curtained so its private and you won't have your stuff messed with. The water is warm to luke warm not fantastic but the primary feature is the equipment not the showers. I figured it earned a 5 star as there was nothing wrong with the place though if I could provide any feedback warmer shower water would be nice (just probably costly for them to maintain with the infrequent use)

Great gym, and the atmosphere is really great. Has plenty of machines, some need to be fixed. But overall, I highly recommend this gym if you are serious about weightlifting! Or even getting started as they have personal trainers or the people at the gym are always willing to help!

This gym has only old equipment that is not very well maintained nor is it very clean. In addition, a manager there was one of the most unpleasant people I have ever dealt with. Extremely rude. I will never go back, even though I come to Roswell fairly often.

Worst place ever! If there was a quarter of a star, I'd give it! Flies everywhere. Equipment from 1930. Rude meat head of a manager wannabe had the manners of a venomous baboon! Horrible and unsafe place. I do NOT recommend.

Was traveling and stopped at Roswell. Came here in the morning for a workout. Super easy to get a day pass. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of equipment to hit everything you need. Lots of free weights, cardio equipment and machines as you can see in the pics and video. Love this gym environment and my local gym was like this.

Coolest gym I’ve ever been to. Rugged feel with steel plates and quality machines. Definitely meant for more serious gym goers. If I’m ever in Roswell again I’ll definitely come back to this gym.

I have gone to Alton's Gym for over 20 years. I love it, I love the people that work there and play there. I was taking training classes there for 2 years, they have wonderful equipment. I have taken many classes! I absolutely love Yoga there. Alton's is a five star gym. I hope to be there if for many more years ☺️

There are giants roaming this gym, but they are friendly.

As a traveling Physical Therapist and performance coach it doesn’t take long for me to judge a gyms set up. Altons has done well. It’s definitely built more like a bodybuilder/strength athlete style gym BUT they have everything you would need as an endurance or alternative athlete as well....

Personally I’m an ultra runner and obstacle course racer. The outdoor fitness area, functional equipment, and plenty treadmills are plenty to make me happy!

(I would like to see some heavy rubber atlas stones) *wink*wink*
