Sweet staff; they help you out nice and quick, great old school equipment, and they also bring new equipment which is always nice to try out. I always come back here and get a good workout in. I recommend it! 😀

Gym is older and just ok, but Bree I believe her name is a terrible employee with control issues. First she yelled at us in the middle of the workout asking if we paid...yes I paid a day fee that wasn't cheap but they don't have any way of keeping track, then a couple weeks later I was squatting in the tiny squat area that is a goldfish bowl having members doing aerobics watching us. I did have tiny shorts as I am a competitor and she came and told me I needed to cover up. I asked if they worked with power lifters, bodybuilders etc...she said no they do not....then finally another week or so later my boyfriend and I were in the hot tub after working out relaxing. She came in and told us we had to go and shut it off on us. I had only massaged his traps and neck a bit, nothing inappropriate. She talks to adults like children and is very disrespectful. There is NO posted dress code, just says employees get to determine or something like that. I've never done anything wrong and have had MANY gym memberships. This happened over a year ago I haven't said anything because we were going to talk to the owner but he is never there and doesn't seem to care about previous issues. After we left several friends came with us for the same type of things...wearing slides if you forget your shoes and general control freak issues and being rude. They cater to elderly and teenagers and actually discriminate against fitter people. Although they allow 8-12 yo boys walk thru the locker rooms seeing naked women!! Over it! Get rid of Bree and eventually maybe your business will come back.

Obnoxious staff. Took my shirt off for a picture upstairs, when putting my shirt back on had a staff member storm upstairs and tell me to keep my shirt on knowing I was the only one up there.

Only gym in town where you have all the equipment and classes to enhance your health and the staff is great. A big clean pool, hot tub, and sauna. Mumbai, body pump, spin classes, ect.

I've been going here for few years for 2 of my kids swimming lessons, nayara is amazing with the kids, she is kind and build relationships with all of her students, so they can trust her, I suggest if you want someone kind, and amazing at her job ask for nayara so she can help teach ur kid swim

Good people, but the equipment is sub standard. Most weights are not labeled, and the spacing is just horrendous between machines. I would recommend they at least take some WD40 to some of the machines. Cause a few machines look and sound like they could use a check up

I’ve been a member on and off of this fitness center. This fitness center is the largest here in Ruidoso. The other option is Anytime Fitness. This one is also 24hrs. You access it after business hours with your key card. My only complain is that a lot of the equipment is old and not properly maintained. This is especially true for the cardio equipment. It seems many of the treadmills don’t work properly.

Aside from that, it’s your typical gym. They offer fitness clases and they have locker rooms. They offer military discounts on memberships.

This is part of the fabric of Ruidoso. It’s the workout place. The pool place. The hot tub place and a great place to mix and mingle. Always treated well, and I am a Senior. No senior shaming here!!! The water aerobics are fun and a great way to exercise with low impact for the joints. I highly recommend the RAC!!!!

We love our swim lessons with Nayara at the RAC. She is attentive, caring, and so fun that our kids never want to miss a session. Love that the pool is heated for year round lessons - wish they’d keep it a smidge warmer though!

More than gym, this place is like a community center! I'm new to weight training and working out in general, but everyone has been super kind and helpful. The staff is wonderful and the other members are great. It's always a positive experience and I look forward to starting my day at the RAC each morning.
