I first learned about Sol Ballroom at the event Baila on the Plaza and enjoyed it immensely! However, I had absolutely no dance experience so I gladly signed up for classes to help learn the dances! I was even more pleased with the experience that I had taking the group classes, I found the staff and instructor to be very informative, friendly and patient with me giving me the extra guidance whenever I needed any questions answered :) I especially enjoyed their Latin dance class and am currently taking the Latin class again because I enjoyed it so much! Sol Ballroom has quickly become my “home away from home” and I highly recommend it to all regardless of your level of dance experience!!

I’m a new dancer and have enjoyed my class. It has turned into my highlight and fun part of my week. The instructors especially Hannah are kind, patient , and knowledgeable. They break down step by step and give time to practice without judgment. I plan on taking more classes. I’ve enjoyed meeting new people too.

This is more of a ballroom and not to knowledgeable in other culture spanish music steps. I have been to other dance classes that have more experience in spanish culture music with dance steps that Latino people actually dance. The team were welcoming but the Instructor wasn't. All I can say is, " Be kind to other people that are different than what you expect to stop by for a dance class".

I have always thought that dancing is such a beautiful form of movement and expression, but never learned how to dance! Thought it would be so cool to learn all the way from back in high school but was too scared to try.
Coming here has felt comfortable, warm and inviting. Hannah and the other instructors are knowledgeable, have great communication skills and are able to share their expertise easily. Love these classes! Strongly recommend for any and all beginners!!

If you want to dance; new or more advanced, this community seems to be flourishing. Salsa, bachata, cumbia, waltz, tango, fox trot, two step, swing- the owner loves what she does and you can tell she is passionate about creating a safe and comfortable community to do it. Every-other Friday night is a party (lesson and open dance after) and they offer a student discount! Check it out, I bet you’ll have a blast!

I went to sol ballroom dance Friday night! So very fun and organized! They taught the hustle! And I danced for two hours straight! They have professionals peppered throughout! It’s like dancing with the stars! Julie is teaching me the Tango she is so fun and gives me confidence! I’m so glad I found them! Thank you Hanna!!!!

I definitely enjoyed my time, the folks I met, and the ballet class as a wgoke; I was very excited to get into it.
I got very disheartened and left when I was told I can't stretch on the floor, that was after I bought ballet shoes and a $130 freedom card, so I was just out of that.

It might seem small, but I know mybody and what I need to warm up before a workout. I was offered a chair to stretch, but I have always needed floor space. Fun classes, but we aren't compatible.

I am so incredibly happy to be dancing at Sol. The instructors, Hannah and Joseph, are very kind, enthusiastic, and fun. I am taking private lessons, and I'm always delighted by the level of feedback they give me. Joseph is very helpful and encouraging: he has exciting suggestions to make any dance look more flashy and fun. Hannah is a dance magician; she finds one or two aspects of my dance to improve, and it has amazing, cascading effects to improve the rest of my dance.

I have been very cautious with health during the pandemic. With the health practices the instructors adhere to, I feel safe about dancing with them in class. This means so much to me to be able to continue my favorite hobby and protect the health of myself and household members.

Overall, dancing at the studio is the highlight of my week. They cater very well to their individual dancers, helping you work toward your personal dance goals, and having a lot of fun in the process. I give my absolute highest recommendation of dance at Sol.

Sol Ballroom and Ballroom dancers teachers college is not your typical studio. Hannah Cole and Sol Ballroom teachers gear their lessons in relation to your goals and amibitions --not just a package deal. This studio lives out values of: honor, community, love, respect, acceptance, celebration, and fun! This studio will not only allow you to reach your goals as a dancer (competition, showcase, social party preparation etc) but for me? As a person. Beautiful new studio and well kept. Likely one of the best dance floors in Las Cruces. Semi-convenient location fairly close to the highway with some available parking. Neighborhood is fairly safe during the day. I wouldn't recommend walking around alone after dark there though.

It is my understanding that the instructors at this studio are pleasent and easy to work with.

If this location doesn't work for you, I suggest searching in El Paso, as you are unlikely to find anything else in Las Cruces. Fred Astaire Studios (where I have traditionally trained) also have a strong reputation if you can find one, although they can be pricey.

Either way, please continue ballroom dancing. It is poetry in motion!!!

The absolute, hands down, nicest studio in Nee Mexico. With top notch instruction provided by the director of the national Teachers College.. you won’t find better in the whole of the south west. Hannah is the best!!!
