Theres some good and some glaring bad. The good: people are friendly, hours are great and the personal trainers are always helpful. The bad: The place is run by children. Literal children with no idea how a business works. Where's the actual owner? If equipment breaks, and there's quite a few pieces of equipment that are broken, good luck getting it fixed. Gym plates need a cleaning too.

The gym is fine. But I cancel my membership because I moved to a different city and two months later they made a charge on my credit card. So be careful when you cancel or they'll rob you

I enjoy this gym and appreciate most of the staff, but recently there have been repeated issues with one employee Justin , that are becoming concerning. On Friday night 9/19), the cardio area was closed at 8:15 p.m., even though the gym hours clearly state the facility is open until 9:00 p.m. When I questioned the early closure, the employee told me he was “tired,” despite the policy that the area should only close 10 minutes prior to closing, not 45 minutes early. This is not the first time this has happened with the same individual, and it reflects a lack of professionalism that negatively affects members’ experience. I wanted to bring this to your attention, as consistent and reliable service is a big part of why people choose this gym.

The place isn't what it used to be. You have kids that work there thinking they own the place doing absolutely nothing. Lots of equipment has been out of order or just broken for months maybe longer. Ac on a good day might work. Desperate need of newer things. Hope this place cleans itself up top to bottom.

I’ve workout at majority of the gyms in Las Cruces and many of them have their pros and cons but this gym is a true gem for anyone serious about fitness. It's old school in the best ways, the equipment is simple but effective, and the atmosphere is all about hard work and results. The community is supportive, with everyone fully committed—no one’s distracted by their phones here. If you're looking for a no-nonsense place to get stronger and stay motivated, I highly recommended checking this gym out and seeing why it’s call “The Gym”

Coming from the Boston area, are used to work out at a gym called galaxy gym in Medford Massachusetts, which I considered one of the best gyms ever. With that being said, this place is awesome… I carrying equipment free weights Precor all in great working order… Love the atmosphere, Even the locker rooms were great. Can’t wait to go through this area again.

I recently went to The Gym and was disappointed that nobody was at the counter. another thing is when trying to get a drink there is only waters and maybe 1 to 2 different types of drinks in the fridge. The fridge looks absolutely empty, on top of that it’s LOCKED, what are they trying to lock ??? The cardio room is also like the sauna why go to the sauna when you have the heat in cardio room. There was also an older looking lady who didn’t even look like she knew what she was doing and way to busy talking to someone instead of being at the counter. Another thing I notice is that majority of the mirrors are either cracked or broken.
Definitely will not be visiting this gym again!!!

I used to go to this gym about 15 years ago when it was World Gym. It's the only gym in Las Cruces that I've felt comfortable in. It's under new ownership and has an array of new equipment in a different layout than before. When I went to sign up again recently, I was warmly greeted and had a great conversation with one of the staff. This gym is not just for hard core weight lifters, but welcomes everyone at all different fitness levels. It now also has a sauna which I'm really looking forward to using.

This has got to be the best gym in a 50 mile radius. I love the rustic bodybuilding style along with the open space for yoga and stretching. They have a perfectly temperature, sauna and a cardio room. This facility was made for heavy lifters, and people very serious about the Fitness. Thank you for the experience!

I stopped in this place today. If you live in Cruces I think this is the last and best old school weight training gym in town.
This place has the last of the slightly older equipment that really allows you to lift for strength. Trap Bars and plate loaded dip machines are available and that kind of niche stuff is gonna get me back in there. 👍
But with that said it was still a great environment full of nice people and even though I view it is a "Lifters Gym" it has a pleasant mix of people looking to just get in a good workout.
The staff is helpful and friendly. The place is clean. I went in to buy a Day Pass at a reasonable rate and was pleasantly surprised.

I was visiting Las Cruces for the week and needed a place to train. The day rates are very reasonable, and the gym was well equipped. I went four times, and it was never too crowded. They have a solid free weight section with a proper power rack. When I'm back in Las Cruces I will definitely train here again.

I've been to this gym several times on many a road trip and it has become one of my all-time favorite gyms in the USA. Always friendly staff in a clean, no nonsense atmosphere, where you can get in a great workout for a great price. Wish I could bring the whole gym to SoCal!

This is a great gym with a larger equipment room and a good sized free weights area. It also has lots of great classes. While the classes will cater to beginners, I wouldn't really consider this gym a good choice for beginners. There isn't info on how to use all the machines and the whole 'feel' of the place is more serious. However, for an intermediate to advanced person (as far as how much they know about working out) this place would be great! It has everything you needed and there classes offered are amazing. Also, the staff is very friendly.

I certainly enjoyed my time training at this facility. It is a nice break from the other commercial gyms Cruces has to offer.

Unfortunately, after moving away from town I made multiple confirmations with management via telephone to discontinue my membership after the end of my year contract, yet they continued to charge my account. Actions speak louder than words.

Great gym. I like the balance of cable and free weights in the main area. The position of equipment makes for a smooth transition between sets. Off setting the cardio equipment away from the main area is a clever idea. Giveing the shy and timid people a comfortable save place to get there workout in. I was surprised however how quickly the staff responded to cleaning the equipment after use very impressive great job.
