I’ve been training with Ny-Juan since the end of September, and it’s been a great experience. He’s thoughtful about tailoring workouts to your needs and always keeps the sessions interesting and varied. He clearly explains each exercise in a way that makes it feel approachable and that I understand the purpose of it.
Since working with him, I’m feeling more comfortable with weight lifting, more confident in my physical ability, and more motivated to stay consistent.
I’d highly recommend Ny-Juan to anyone looking for a trainer who is skilled, encouraging, and truly invested in your progress.

My wife and I are doing shared session training with Ny-Juan (Ny), and it's been an awesome experience. Ny is extremely knowledgeable, highly attentive, and provides great encouragement, while also making sure we're both pushing ourselves to our limits. Whether it's endurance, barbell, kettlebell, TRX etc., Ny is always introducing new and different exercises in our sessions, giving us plenty of variety and keeping us highly engaged. Importantly, Ny takes the time to demo and ensure we're doing all exercises with proper form. Ny is also a genuinely good dude with a great energy and attitude, which makes the experience that much better. Highly recommend Ny and 1.2.1 Fitness!

I highly recommend training with Ny at 1.2.1 Fitness. Ny designs fun and challenging workouts catered to your fitness goals. He's an excellent teacher, demonstrating each exercise and guiding you through proper form. He’s observant and gradually changes and progresses your workouts to keep your muscles challenged. He’s always reminding you that you’re strong, especially when you hit the hardest rep in a set. The gym itself is gorgeous.

Having walked by the 1.2.1 Gym several times after moving to Brooklyn, I was intrigued by its size and excellent equipment. So after undergoing minor surgery, I knew I needed to get back into shape, and 1.2.1 was the first gym I thought of. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join. Ny-Juan, my personal trainer, is excellent. He challenges me to get stronger, gain balance, and improve my overall health, all while never pushing me beyond my capabilities. If you’re looking for a personal trainer at an excellent gym, I recommend 1.2.1.

Having a great time at 1.2.1 fitness. I've never been one who exercises much, but Ny-Juan (trainer) has me working on body strength and has really shown me I can do it. Super friendly, but he doesn't let you slide on doing what you need to do. So, yes I'm wiped out after each session, but if feels great!

Ny is an incredible trainer, very organized and structured in his routines, but varying them over time as my strength (and comfort with training) increases. He's also been very accommodating to various restrictions/limitations I have, as well as to changing circumstances day by day. I find myself feeling excited on the mornings I have training, and in general have more energy and stamina throughout the week. Highly recommend training here (and with Ny if possible).

This is a great neighborhood gym, just the equipment and expert trainers without any of the pretentiousness and crowds of larger gyms. Hilary was our trainer for a package of 10 sessions with me and my son (age 14). My son had never worked with a trainer before, so I was looking to get our technique right and pick up good sets of exercises to build on. Hilary was the ideal trainer for this. He's friendly and super knowledgeable, and always ready with a great variety of sets for all muscle groups. His demeanor is fantastic: not a cheerleader or a drill sergeant, he just kept us on point with technique and positioning at exactly the right moments. Hilary figured out the right amount of challenge for each of us, and was quietly encouraging throughout. His playlists are great for the workout too. It was the perfect introduction to training for my son, and a good comeback for me. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely little “gem” for highly personalized training. Space is super clean, good equipment, good ventilation (no stuffy gym air), and great vibes. Training with Hilary is fun, insightful, and effective. He does an amazing job tailoring my sessions for max results while keeping them enjoyable, working around troublesome areas in a way that actually improves them, and also keeps my other physical activities in mind so I’m energized instead of fatigued. I’m a much stronger and more confident lifter now.

I've been working with Ny-Juan at 1.2.1 fitness for 1.5 years and it's been a wonderful experience! I started right after my second pregnancy. In the beginning I could barely do a squat and since then have seen great results while enjoying my time with Ny during sessions. I am already back to my pre-pregnancy weight but even healthier and stronger than before. I've been training at 1.2.1 Fitness for about 3 months and don't plan to stop anytime soon.
The facilities are well-maintained and clean. The atmosphere overall is conducive to getting a great workout: plenty of room to work, even when other folks are training. The overall vibe is positive and encouraging. They play good music. There is a nice bathroom with a shower and towels. The coffee and tea bar is a nice extra!
Most importantly, all of the trainers and staff who I have interacted with have been kind and welcoming. They really create an environment where you feel motivated to push yourself with the confidence that you're being guided by a team of experts who have your best interests and goals at heart.
Special shout-out to Hilary, the trainer who I have been working with — I couldn't recommend a better partner if you're looking to up your strength or overall fitness!

I’ve been training at 1.2.1 for roughly 4 months and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a private fitness experience. I do not like traditional gym spaces for a number of reasons. Mostly I don’t like running into neighbors and colleagues during moments of physical exertion which makes it challenging to pick a gym conveniently located between work and home. I’m not self-motivated and tend to shy away from routines and equipment that are unfamiliar. I’m dyslexic and often feel confused by physical commands, exercise patterns and breath control. Working with Ny has resolved all of those issues for me. He is an excellent Trainer — encouraging (without being annoying), empathetic, kind — especially during moments when my body is tired and I feel like Bambi flailing on ice. With his guidance, I am making good progress and I look forward to our sessions. I know that on my own I would not exercise regularly and repeat unhealthy patterns so I feel very lucky to have found a gym that works for me. If you’re reading this and my experience resonates at all with you, I would look no further than 1.2.1. It’s where you belong.

Like some, I am the type that always wanted to regularly join a gym but found myself not getting enough out of the experience on my own. In the end, I was making a monthly donation to a large cooperation. And then I made the leap and made the decision to become a member of a personal gym - and I’ve never missed an appointment in a number of years. I’m in the best shape of my life and the return on investment is extraordinary. Personalized 1x1 training is simply one of the better decisions I’ve made. 1.2.1 Fitness and Dion are great! The space and equipment are better than the local gym, and Dion has been really helpful in setting goals for our sessions and in teaching me what to focus on and aim for in my own workouts. Dion is friendly and easy to work with. He makes sure I keep my form, and explains each movement of our sessions so I understand how the overall workout fits together. Fantastic place--check it out! Dion is great to work with.
I showed up with two herniated discs (L4 and L5). He was thoughtful, attentive, and helped me get in shape without injuring myself.
I've lost the 15 pounds I gained during COVID, put on muscle, and have dramatically reduced my pain by strengthened my back and core. I couldn't recommend him or this place enough!

As someone who has had limited experience with strength-training but who has generally been “in shape”, working with Flavio has been an awesome experience over the last 3 months. He uses a thoughtful approach that is process-based, keeps records, and organizes the sessions in sequential fashion. There is a strong emphasis on mobility and form as the framework for the work-outs and my impression is that there is a very personalized approach to the training relationships. In regards to the physical space - its comfortable, clean, modern & well-equipped.
Overall, I would recommend this fitness center to anyone who is looking for a personal and individualized approach to strength & conditioning, all in a comfortable environment.

I have been working out 2x per week for the past 8 months at 1:2:1 fitness. This experience has been transformative in so many ways. Flavio has been my trainer since day 1. His philosophy and approach to strength training and mobility is impeccably crafted. With precision he is able to make the slightest corrections to shift my posture and maximize my ability to push weight. Eight months later and he is still able to introduce new exercises every session. I am her to get bored. I have not incurred a single injury and have become quite a bit stronger and am very happy with the results. I never imagined I would love squats and deadlifts but am now able to see and feel there merits.
Jackie and Randy are amazing owners and make you feel totally welcomed to their carefully curated private gym. It is always clean and fresh. I shower there after my workouts and sip on nespresso while I am pumping iron. Not bad at all.
I absolutely recommend 1:2:1 fitness to anyone that wants to get in shape!!

After a long hiatus from personal training I was excited to see a beautiful new fitness studio pop up in the neighborhood. It motivated me to start working out again. The space is beautiful and spacious. The trainers are true professionals. I joined one of Carmine Ciliento’s small training groups which was fantastic!!! Fun and challenging! I receive more attention from Carmine than I did with my last one on one trainer. I am finally getting back into the shape I truly want to be!
