I’ve been attending the step and pilates classes for 2 months now and I love it! I’ve been working out at home consistently since April, but these classes add a great variety to those workouts. I’ve definitely noticed improvements in my stamina and strength since starting these classes. Roxy is an amazing trainer with the perfect energy to keep you going when all you wanna do is drop to the ground and vegetate. The classes are affordable and I’ve purchased the monthly pass twice now. The workouts themselves are difficult but Roxy encourages us to go at our own pace and always demonstrates modifications for all the exercises we do. Whether as an addition to your usual routine or as your only means of working out, this is the place to go.

I am so glad I found Roxy’s pilates class. The class is a very nice size (smaller size) so you can get individual corrections from Roxy and still keep up. It’s not a class so packed that you get lost in the mix like at the big chain gyms that I abandoned years ago. The class has a wonderful vibe, everyone is so kind and inclusive and non judgmental (all body types are seen, different ages, women from many stages of life!), so it feels like self care attending. Almost like a therapy session. And you will SWEAT! Roxy is a lovely, kind trainer who knows her stuff, you WILL get in a solid workout! You can’t beat the price point, in these tough economic times with layoffs everywhere and rising costs, her classes are extremely affordable. This is now the highlight of my week, my self care and stress relief, with a group of lovely people. Don’t feel self conscious or that you can’t do the class, you can! You’ll find a very welcoming atmosphere. Give it a chance!

Roxy has been an amazing instructor- I go to a lot of her Step & Sculpts. If you enjoy rhythm and step classes, this is perfect for you. At the end there are 10 minutes of weights and I cry about it but we can't do cardio all the time. 🤷♀️
Anyway 5/5, very charismatic, very fun, very "holds you accountable" (she made sure I used 10 instead of 5 so I can feel the burn).

At 187 fitness, I have attended both Power Pilates with Roxy as well as Boxing and personal training sessions with Dan. They are both highly knowledgeable, experienced, result-driven and demanding coaches, and they always make sure their classes are super fun and interesting for students of all levels. The pricing is very reasonable, too, especially considering the very high quality of their services. I couldn’t recommend 187 fitness more.

I am so glad I started going to 187fitness. Dan really knows what he's doing and pushes you to your limits and beyond what you thought you could do. Roxy's pilates class is just the right combination of strength and cardio. I love that each session at 187fitness is only a handful of people so you really get Dan and Roxy's close attention even though you're not the only one there.

If you’re serious about getting results, this is the place! The training here is amazing, and the price is unbeatable for the value you get. Dani is an incredible trainer — knowledgeable, motivating, and always pushing you to your best. He has so much to teach, and if you dedicate yourself, you’ll see real results just like I did.
One of the things I loved most (besides getting my butt kicked in the best way!) is the strong community built at this gym. It’s not a place for people who just want to pass the time — it’s for people who want to get fit, grow, and be part of a supportive environment.
I’ve since moved to California, but if there’s one thing I truly miss from New York, it’s training with Dani. I highly recommend this gym to anyone ready to commit and transform their fitness!

I've worked out in classes, and at the gym, with and without trainers for 15 years, and it is no exaggeration to say that this is the best environment I've ever been in. The dedication Dan and Roxy give is comprehensive due to their knowledge and commitment across so many realms of fitness, including weightlifting, boxing, and salsa dancing. For the first time in my life, I look forward to working out because I feel seen and encouraged, without being rushed or provoked. They met me at my level, and raised the bar many times over.
Note that as with anything, transformation is only possible if you really want it. No studio, no matter how amazing, will produce results without your effort. But for anyone serious about putting in the time and work toward improving your physique and overall health: 187 will not disappoint.

Despite being on sports teams in high school, I have never been a group workout person. I've never been a trainer person, having worked with several and finding middling success.
Dan is something else, though. He's the best motivator, and he knows his stuff. I've been taking group boxing classes with him consistently for 2 months, and I intend to keep going for as long as possible. It's a blast, and Dan does a lot to build an inviting and family-like atmosphere.
I really can't recommend this gym enough. Come for the workouts and stay for the fantastic folks.

I started looking for a new gym in the area after getting bored with my local Planet Fitness. I showed up on my first day and got a great first impression.
I've been working with Dan here for about two months and I've really enjoyed it. He provides individual attention to each attendee and is always throwing curve balls with new routines that are fun and challenging. It never gets old and it's very motivating. There are also different workouts depending on the day of the week.
The value is also good for the 1-on-1 attention and feedback you get. The music bops. The gym members have great attitudes. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking to shake things up and try something different.

Amazing personal trainer who knows what he is doing! I’ve never seen anything like this before, this man literally changed my fitness, health, mentality, and life for the better despite my limiting back injury.
**I have a back injury from my time in the Army, it kept me unfit for years and Dan was the only one who could get me up and going again after years of not being able to work out and massive weight gain. He knew how to guide me inside and outside of the gym.
Working really hard but not pushing me past the boundaries of my injury and recommending additional activities that would help, such as hot yoga. No gimmicks or excuses, just hard and smart work that pays off.
Don’t think about it twice, if you are ready to lose weigh this is the place!

This is the first time I have kept consistent in any sort of training/exercise. The instructor keeps you motivated and looks after you to make sure you are doing things correctly. I have seen a drastic change in my physical and mental endurance. Definitely worth trying it out

THERE IS NO GYM THAT CAN COMPARE TO THIS ONE!
As a person, who has always struggle going to the gym consistently, eating balanced/healthy meals, and overall loosing weight, this gym has changed my life. I came in last year in July, with the intention of just loosing weight but after a whole year of being consistent I have not only lost weight, but have gained muscle, became confident in my body physically and MENTALLY, developed a better relationship with food, and much more. I started with Danny when I was 240 pounds. Today I am 182 pounds, mentally and physically stronger, understand my anatomy and how MY body works, and confident of my abilities. I didn't deprive myself, in fact I had plenty of cheat meals. This gym taught me discipline and balance.
What makes this gym different, is not only do you have an awesome trainer, but you have a COMMUNITY of people who encourages and pushes you. Danny, trains you and also teaches you, so that you can understand the exercises, your body and mind. You are not just there to just do the exercises, You will always leave learning something new. The workouts can be challenging but it's fun and he switches it up and personalizes it appropriately to your level.

Amazing trainer!! I have been to other gyms and tried other instructors but Dan is by far the best I ever had. He pushes you and makes sure you reach your fitness goals. So far, I have lost 15 pounds and I'm also getting toned.
