212 Pilates is pure magic. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and take the time to make sure you’re doing everything correctly (and kindly remind you when you’re not). Angie is amazing—patient, attentive, and somehow knows exactly what your body needs that day. The owner has created a studio that’s not only beautiful and spotless but also feels welcoming the second you walk in.
Every member of the staff is warm, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping you feel your best. I always leave standing taller, sleeping better, and—miracle of miracles—waking up without pain. If you want expert instruction in a space that feels both professional and kind, 212 Pilates is the place.

Staff is extremely rude ..my first time in .. didn't see the remove shoes sign at entrance, my bad .. but one of the instructors with glasses screamed at me, I know I made a mistake , but that doesn’t give them the right to scream aggressively at a new customer and to think that its ok to do so specially when you are entering a wellness place ..
I am still in shock that they think is ok to scream after I brought this up, (doesn’t matter if you have 3 , 4 or 100 signs) Period you don’t scream at people ! A simple “excuse me do you mind removing your shoes .. will have a better effect” Not the environment for me .. side note Barre pilates instructor was nice but will not be returning.. Place is also small

The instructor was really nice and the class had a relaxed vibe, which might be perfect for some people. That said, I was expecting a bit more intensity from a class labeled “Sculpt Strength.” I’ve been going to places like Powercore Yoga and SLT lately, so maybe my expectations were just different.
My main issue was the flooring. A lot of the class is done on the ground, but the surface is linoleum over concrete, which felt really hard and uncomfortable. The yoga mats provided were super thin, and while they had some foam tiles for extra cushioning, they were bulky and not really meant for that purpose.

First of all, the space is absolutely gorgeous! Clean nice space with a great view.
I took a Zumba class with Catherine, and I had such a good time. We kept moving the entire time and I was definitely sweating, but I'm glad I didn't feel like I was going to injure myself at any point. Would recommend, especially for a post-work pick me up!

One of the best studios in Manhattan. I've been attending classes here for nearly 6 or 7 years. Recently, I've taken both Izzy's reformer and bar classes. I was sore for a week, a full body workout without ever feeling like I was straining myself. The team at 212 knows motion, knows the body, and knows how to create a safe and happy places to escape the city and get a fun and strong experience

This studio is lovely. Classes are great - small and the teachers give each student excellent attention and care. Instructors and fellow students are kind to newcomers. Close to Grand Central to get anywhere you need. Class times are convenient to begin or end your workday. Multipack pass gives a decent deal. Love!

Love my semi-private reformer class with Izzy! The studio is beautiful and peaceful. Izzy was an excellent instructor, she was clear and upbeat. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a Pilates class and I instantly felt at ease.

Four months ago, I embarked on the goal of being physically and emotionally healthy; on this path, I met these incredible women who have changed my life. Angie, who has been my teacher and friend since I arrived in NY, has taken all her knowledge, patience, and perseverance to keep me on track to meet my goals and always with a smile, and Tara, who has always been aware of her customers has been of great help to settle in this city.
For the first time, I feel committed to keeping my body in shape without shortcuts; I have also learned to listen to and respect my body.
I thought I would never say this, but Angie changed my mentality, and now I love to exercise. Respect for the work they are doing.
I am lucky to have a personal trainer who has been an exceptional resource in my fitness journey. His knowledge and skills in exercise and nutrition are remarkable, but what truly distinguishes her is his attentiveness to my unique goals and requirements. She motivates me to push harder while ensuring I don't overdo it. In addition, she always offers guidance and encouragement whenever I have questions or issues. She is also adaptable, regularly modifying my workout regimen to meet my changing needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a competent, supportive, and successful fitness coach.

Absolutely LOVE this pilates studio!!! I leave these pilates classes feeling so much better in my body than when I come in. I take only group classes and find that this structure and price point works well with my lifestyle. If possible, take classes directly with Tara!

I first started seeing Tara when my chiropractor recommended me to her, saying that she'd transformed some of his worst patients into able-bodied people again. Seeing Tara was one of the best recommendations of my life! I went from being in constant back pain to learning how my body needed to move and connect to be pain free. I see Tara as a form of physical therapy, but it's also a great work out. When i broke my ankle earlier this year (booo) I did my physical therapy with her because honestly she is the only person I trust not to hurt my body. after years of PT that only made my situation worse, I am SO relieved to have her in my corner, she's an amazing practitioner whose dedication to her field makes her a safe and wonderful choice no matter what brings you to Pilates.

I work out with Tara every week. She is an expert with anything related to anatomy and Pilates. Having a few disc issues in my back and neck, it is essential for me to work with someone with that kind of knowledge to make sure I don’t hurt myself. Tara is the best. The studio itself is new, so everything is top notch and in great condition.
