So one night I had a guest pass for this club and a staff member who was approximately about 5 feet with braids told me that they do not take guest passes at this location. He then told me I can come in if I cash app him 15 dollars for me and my friend each to his cash app name which was $lastminuteezservice. We did it and the next day we came he tried to charge us 30 each. My question was how does the price change everyday and somebody informed me that there not supposed to take money . Basically he collected the money for himself and he proceeded to play call of duty on his PlayStation 5 while people were walking in for free and stealing items in the gym.

Signed up for a 3 day trial. Went to front desk as instructed in the email. This lady told me that they do not offer any guest pass. I explained to her when I signed up online they allowed me to and gave me instructions when signing it. She continued to repeat herself about the same thing and not offer any help in any way. I no longer even want to sign up for the gym. This was horrible customer service.

This 24hr fitness is at a prime location where parking is easily accessible. However, this location is in bad need of new equipment, daily cleaning service, and proper adherence to gym etiquette/rules.
-There are at least 6/7 treadmills that do not work.

Update: this gym recently had a renovation with new equipment. While I would say it is much better. There is still the issue with gym members not putting back the weights on the racks. Everyone has a role to making this place something worth coming to.
-Some equipment are shaky or partially broken.
-Some equipment are not used a lot and take up floor space.
-The HVAC system leaks.
-Limited amount of dumbbells, especially 5,10,20 lbs.
-The gym feels dirty. Should be swept everyday.
-Gym members have no regard with putting back the weights when they are finished. No one enforces this.
-Constant tripping hazard with weights left in the path of walkways.

Gym members and staff are great and friendly. But this gym needs work and care.

First & Foremost The Front Desk Staff Did an exceptional job getting me to sign up , Chris & Stacy went above & Beyond ! If you are looking for a personal trainer Ask for Pedro !! you will never doubt your confidence again , Not only did he take his time to understand my needs but they are extremely budget friendly & have so many different rates to meet your needs .& since the renovation the Private room for the trainers is the icing on the cake.
I was very skeptical joining a new gym but with the new renovations and the community that’s inside I truly feel welcomed to work out SO MUCH MORE , amazing staff and I look forward to my journey here at 24 Hour Fitness !

I tried a one day pass. My arrival very crowded. 2 people at desk one went to show people around to 2nd floor. the one took care of me point that direction classes, that way weights and equipment, rest room etc then on my own. Not the most welcoming. Ok restroom clean, pool looked cleaned, 2nd floor a lot of people hectic, machines are available since a lot equipment. Down side looks dirty and men leave heavy weights on machines. People with partners if my husband was joining might have joined this gym. Lightening dark not inviting working out. Now the massager chair the manager let me use after I told him lady did not show me around. Best seller for this gym 10/10.

Over the past week, the gym has been a mess. I come to work out between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m. All the dumbbells and plates are scattered everywhere, as if a tornado had gone through. None of the spray bottles for sanitizing the equipment works. This gym has potential but needs better oversight.

I have been going to this gym for the last three years. This summer it improved greatly. Much cleaner and much more professional.
It was always dirty no paper towels or spray and one thing I must say is the machines are still messed up even though they made upstairs alot better the bikes and the stair master are no good.
I have also gotten to know some of the employees and one of them Justin is always so helpful and friendly. I’m glad to still go here and that there are always positive people to help out and encourage me to come work out !!

Ive been a member since early 2023. I've never had a bad experience with this gym, hell I've recommended a few people to this gym. Now that the gym was newly renovated I was recommending the gym to my partner so he can check it out. He signed up for the Guest Pass (From the valley Stream website) thinking he would be able to see the gym. We arrived to the gym maybe 11:15p and he was denied. We drove all the way from the Bronx to valley stream just to be turned away. Why you may ask? Per the Male staff member at the desk they do not honor the guest pass at their location since renovations. Nor do they honor guest passes after 11p. Nor do they honor the 3 day pass. Just to make it clear NO WHERE ON THE WEBSITE DOES SAY A SPECIFIC TIME, NOR DOES IT SAY THAT THEY NO LONGER HONOR THE PASS , NOR DOES IT SAY IT'S ONLY FOR A DAY.
Very disappointed in this gym especially when my partner could have been a potential client.

I do know that it is not the fault of the club but the selfishness and inconsideration of the members but maybe a time limit should be implemented on a few machines. For example the AB machine and the Pull Machine. In most locations there is only one. Today in trying to get access, one person sat on the a machine for 35 minutes. I went through 8 other machines and left because they still weren’t done. It is quite frustrating. It would be nice if there were 2-3 in the club or a 10-15 minute time limit. Especially when the club is crowded.

The manager at this gym is racist. He tells Black members they can’t bring gym bags to the upstairs gym floor, but when you look around, you’ll see members of other races with their bags and he says nothing to them. Such a great space and lay out! Ive beeb training with Miles and he has been amazing! Afternoons are great with less than 50 percent occupancy so i get to use everything i need! Im said to be leaving this gym as im moving. But sooo very happy that i was able to come here and get back on track to my physical fitness! And im well on track thanks to this gym and my trainer Miles. The front desk is super friendly, and the mngment is excellent! They all work way to hard. They clearly did a lot of work upstairs—new everything, which is awesome! 👏🏽 Glad to see more machines like the leg press, hack squat, and glute drive. Have to get adjusted to the layout, but I think overall the space is better utilized. Lots more cardio machines, and it looks like most, if not all, of them are working! YAAAASS! Nice touch with the hanging TV monitors! Praying they have the maintenance crew to keep upstairs clean!

Would’ve been great if the machines were set up by body part— all of the leg machines in one area, abs, arms, etc. I also didn’t see stretch mats, but found a nice area behind the cardio area for that…guess I’ll bring my own mat.

I like that the sound system was pumping! I think this will deter individuals from bringing their own noisemaker and having a separate party. Anyone wanting to play different music needs to have that stuff in their ears. For the grand opening, though, I would’ve suggested having the 105.1 DJ music from downstairs play throughout the place, particularly upstairs.

What I don’t like is that there are still not enough of certain machines, i.e., leg extension (only one?). I also take issue with the fact that it’s still freaking dark up here!!! There are still lamps without working lightbulbs, and whatever bulbs they have are are too dim. Why did they fall so short with lighting? We need more light!

In addition, I really wish they had done something to the women’s locker room and bathroom . Hopefully, that’ll come soon, but in the meantime, maybe sandblasting the grout and tiles and a little paint might freshen it up a bit.

Not sure what the premium member space is about, but I suppose I’ll find out soon enough.

Overall, the changes are really good, but more needs to be done for excellence!

They did 80% of an upgrade job
How are the representatives going around telling new clients to be that all new machines are new when 2 of the old treadmills still don’t work and that’s how it was prior to this alleged upgrade and one of the new machines aren’t working.

All they did was update the flooring I would rather functioning equipment.

The moved the items around added more weights and added a new premiere section for some machines for additional cost.

I guess you have to pay premium to have all your machines work.

The machine to do dips and lifts the black bags have been deflated for years and they kept the machine there still broken it’s hard to do a proper workout because my elbows start hurting after 5 seconds due to lack of support.

Very disappointing, and my mother and I already paid for a year of membership.

I should just go on to lifetime fitness where all the machines actually work, if you can afford it, I highly recommend.

I have been a since the member, valley stream opened. They use to give towels and always had the locker room in tip top shape.

It was convenient, now my commute is 30 minutes instead of 5 so doesn’t make sense to travel for broken equipment.

I’m usually not vocal but it doesn’t make sense to lie to customer about all new equipment when it’s not.

Today is the first day back there is no way the machines broke today, some machines are fully rusted so there is no way this is all new equipment.

I was able to use this gym for a week over the summer. I was very pleased the gym's facilities and with my experiences with staff, especially Italia Franks who was warm and welcoming with my entire family. Italia seemed to genuinely want to help every time I spoke with her. She was an excellent ambassador for the gym, and if we relocate to the neighborhood, I would sign up with this gym because of my good experiences with Italia.

Ryan is one of the nastiest and most dismissive person in this gym . As a manager , the way he talks to people needs to be investigated. As customers ,we are literally paying for his salary and for him to have the audacity to talk to people in a condescending and dismissive way is beyond me . We asked simple questions due to this current renovation going on where we cannot use the equipments, gym is always closed with no notice and we are still getting charged !! I walked in and walked out the gym today in less than 5 minutes. Mainly because of poor company policy / management. The gym is currently going thru renovations. That means their entire upatairs (main) workout area will be closed for about a month. They have a smaller workout space on the first floor with machines that they call a "premium" area which requires an extra $10 to use. This is insane when they're regular machines, nothing special. I asked if I can use that room in the mean time since the upstairs is unaccessible. I was told no, a hard NO, with no compromise given the inconvenience they're placing upon their paid members. I was told, I would need to pay the $10 and was offered to workout in main downstairs wood floor studio instead. That's a joke given the fact 90% of my standard workout requires free weights and heavy lifting. Their response to my ask as an inconvenienced paid member for almost 2 years was a major disappointment and major part of bad business. Do better 24 hour fitness and stop failing your members

24 hour fitness is the best gym that I’ve went to this far what grabs my attention is the beautiful culture from when you walk in being greeted at the front desk with a warm welcome and smiles. One of the sales associates Stacy continues to show the value of the business and makes sure all customers feel welcomed into the gym. I love utilizing the basketball court there are always people there to workout with and the vibe is good and it’s a overall great experience coming into the gym I highly recommend that everyone come to the valley stream location.
