Our experience was horrible as the swimming pool changing room is for both kids and grown men. When asked to cancel, they went silent and didn't get our money back.

Elevators are a mess. Such a beautiful new Lobby: Why would they leave the elevators in such poor condition. This is uncool. Love this place. Please fix the elevators.

Iβve been a member of this gym for almost a year and Iβve been collecting this feedback as a last warning for the management before canceling my membership.
I really loved the instructors from this gym as many of them have been working there for almost 20 years giving incredible quality workouts with the limited tools provided for the class. With all my respect to incredible work the trainers do, I think this place is falling apart. The AC situation in summer is very bad, the bags in boxing room were taken down for renovation and not placed back for more than a month now, there is not enough gear for people taking the classes so you better be first one to come. The most striking thing to me is that group classes in mack gym constantly being interrupted by private trainers/ gym members working out on in the same room. Itβs unbelievable that people who work there donβt pay respect to a group of 40 people trying to figure out what trainer is saying and actually their own collegues . On top of that, the management doesnβt include new classes and not sticking for innovative approaches which results in that class are same is probably 10 years ago. Last but not the least, they removed low latin class and fired an incredible trainer who led this class for no reason. Honestly, this class was something that made me keep the membership and now Iβm questioning my choices similar to other people who used to come there. I hope this is going to be addressed and if not, Iβm out. And I know I wonβt be the only one.

I recently joined the 92NY and the staff is always alert and friendly. During my trial period, I got turned around in the building and came late for class (which, as someone who hates walking in late, was overwhelming for me). Georgia at the front went above and beyond to ask someone else to cover the desk and escort me to the spin room. She is such a ray of sunshine and it is so nice seeing her whenever checking in. It was her kindness that encouraged me to stay, try the class, and join instead of walking away. She is a superstar and deserves all the praise!

30$ day pass / single entry fee. They offer a free trial.
Opinion from an average office gym sis with 6 years of disgreaiful results (181cm x 92kg @11%).
Small gym in a fancy location.
Air conditioner is a killer. Bring a hoodie.
Bodybuilding: you will have a basic narrow double machine (khabib size), a few dumbbells and no pulley nor lat machines. Of course other machines do not exist.
Powerlifting:
- squat: 2 techno gym half rack. You will have air blown into the back while doing it, if you suffer scatica, cure it before training.
- Deadlift: one location to do them next to the squat rack.
- Bench: no safety pin, bad unracking location of barbell, very low to the ground. Perfect to rape the rotator cuff

This is not the place for anyone looking to train efficiently or focus on their workout without being interrupted or made uncomfortable. Equipment is dated, and the energy is justβ¦ strange. Definitely not recommended if youβre seeking a straightforward, respectful workout environment.

The low rating is the result of my learning last week that a phenomenal instructor would no longer be leading classes at the 92Y. Itβs unbelievable and frankly unfortunate that one personβs complaint could lead to the loss of such an extraordinary teacher. His Latin Low Impact class is the favorite of so many of us. Endorphins would be flying every class. Weβd leave drenched in sweat but feeling euphoric! Iβve taken both Latin Low as well as his strength building classes for years and he has often needed to emphasize the importance of safety- particularly given that his classes frequently seem to be oversubscribed. Never has his tone or behavior been inappropriate! Many of us miss him dearly and some are considering cancelling their 92Y membership! PLEASE BRING HIM BACK!!!

I was a member of this gym for 5 years, and I didn't know what a crappy experience it was until I moved out of the neighborhood and joined a different gym. Talking to old school members here, they said height of the place was over a decade ago, and I believe it. They just don't have enough equipment, or quality equipment, the layout of the place is annoying, and the men's locker room is full of loud young staff members who just do whatever they please. I would never recommend this place, for the price. Go somewhere else.

I had a very concerning experience with one of the fitness instructors. I arrived five minutes late and was trying to quietly grab a mat and find a spot when the instructor forcefully grabbed my arm without saying a word. There was no verbal communication or warning β just sudden physical contact, which was completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
After the warm-up, he indirectly called me and another person out by yelling to the class about not moving around during warm-ups if arriving late. Instead of addressing the issue directly and respectfully, the indirect callout, coupled with the physical force, felt unnecessarily hostile. While I understand the importance of maintaining order and minimizing disruptions in class, physical contact without consent and public shaming are never acceptable, and I hope the management takes this behavior seriously.

This place basically has everything I need in a gym...There aren't a lot of fancy/gimmicky classes, yet they offer basic strength, cardio, aqua fitness, Yoga, stretching, spinning, Zumba, Pilates, and kickboxing...Also, it's a reasonably priced club with a good-sized pool, a wet and a dry sauna ...There are plenty of lockers, the staff is pleasant, and it's relatively clean...It's not "cool" or "trendy", but it works for me...
Update: Yes, I am still a member...As of this date, I still haven't found anything comparable for the price...

This gym is my go-to spot in the neighborhood, and I couldn't be happier with it. The variety of group fitness classes available is fantastic, and the friendly, neighborly atmosphere really adds to the overall experience. The pool is a big plus for me, and the added amenities like the sauna and steam room make it even better. I wouldn't trade this gym for anything else.

Update: MEMBERSHIP PRICE IS GOING UP, THE ELEVATORS ARE BARELY RUNNING AND SERVICE STANDARDS IN GENERAL ARE GOING DOWN! (See photo)
REALLY GOING DOWNHILL. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE THERE ANYMORE. SO TIRED OF THIS.
Hey guysβ you have so much potential here but the place must be GROSSLY mismanaged. THERE ARE TWO WEIGHT BENCHES IN THE ENTIRE FACILITY!! I canβt believe it. I just left a Blink in a bad neighborhood in Brooklyn that has much better gym equipment and much more of it! They had 8-10 weight benches there and much more modern weight machines there. You guys have more potential than most but you just arenβt where you should be, as far as gym accommodations. Please make an effort. We need, at minimum, more weight benches and gym equipment that does not have to get loaded with plates!! Every other gym in the city offers machines with built in variable-control weights.
PS. Iβm tempted to go down to ONE STAR after their kettlebell got rust all over my clothing today β GET IT TOGETHER 92Y!!

They have everything you ask for- well equipped gym, decent classes, big size yoga room/dance floor, basketball court, 25yd ozone- purified swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna/ steam rooms, nice showers, high level professional trainers and friendly frontdesk staffs.
I just recently renewed my membership, and I am sure I will continue loving it... Great all-inclusive gym in New York City!
