I have been training Muay Thai last 3 years with Alex, and recently strength and lifting. He listens and understands subjective goals. His programs have been very detailed but also easy to understand and easy to follow for me. He is always very approachable and responsive.
This whole experience opened up a new thing for me in terms of health and fitness. In person trainings are especially great, he is very articulate and good at pushing me to my limits.
Also, really great conversations, huge plus. Highly recommend

Absolute highest recommendation. Alex has been a central part of my athletic development for the past 3 years. He has a great enthusiasm for strength training / coaching without any trendy bells and whistles. Fundamentals pushed to their limits!! Since I started with Alex, I am stronger, not in pain and more mobile than I thought I would be at 35 working on my feet.

I have been working with Alex for the last two years as my strength coach. As a competitive fighter and athlete, working with him has improved my performance, muscular endurance, stability, and strength. His programming is helpful, easy to work with, and tailored to fit my hectic schedule. If you’re looking a beginner, experienced lifter, athlete, or just wanting to feel better, I cannot recommend him enough.

Working with Alex is a true joy. He is someone that is adaptable to the needs of whoever he is training and approaches his sessions and programs with a deep care for the person that he is working with.
He is not only someone with a deep knowledge of fitness, combat sports, lifting, and nutrition but he is also someone that is constantly learning and trying to better himself.
There is consistent and noticeable progress when working with Alex and he is not someone to ever settle for the bare minimum. When you work with Alex you can tell that he actually cares and that is a rare thing to find not only on a trainer but in a person.

Alex is multifaceted in his approach. From writing out workout plans for solo days, adjusting to whatever new demands present themselves whenever they arise, and walking me through new exercises and pushing me to set personal records while working in person. I have been working with Alex for over two years and have always been excited for the days that we work together in person.

Alex has been my strength coach for over a year and has helped specifically tailor a program that targeted long standing injuries, improved my striking power for muay thai, and offered sustainable strength training practice for me as a career bartender. I never touched a weight in my life before working with him and I can’t speak highly enough of him as a coach and a person!

I've been strength training with Alex for over a year. I came to him initially seeking out help in the weight room--I had an athletic background but had absolutely NO IDEA how to navigate a weight room. In addition, I've expressed to him my goals with strength, preventing injury, and physical appearance (this is a very important motivator of working out!), and he has taken all of this into account every step of the way. His approach to training is fun, smart, and attentive. Now, I have a lot of confidence navigating any gym setting, and I've done some strength lifts that I could have never imagined. I remember the first time I lifted a stone to my shoulder being one of the best days I had all year.

Most of all he has the incredible talent to bring community together. If you are a member of Diamond Heart, once a week Alex and Coach Nhi meet with a group of women/non-binary/queer folks and we all learn about new lifting techniques together. I look forward to these mornings so much because they're a lot of fun and super supportive. It is important for me to be surrounded by community and support, so this environment has really helped me reach my personal goals.

If you're into strongmen/strongwomen training, this means lifting stones, sandbags, log presses, unconventional deadlifts, building strength that translates to real-world situation--all these unconventional but practical, fun, and interesting ways to get strong, I would highly recommend working with Alex.

I can't say enough about how excellent a coach and all-around person Alex is. It's especially awesome to see him work with his strength training for women group. Whether it is strength, nutrition, or injury prevention, I can't recommend him enough!

I've been working with Alex for a little over a year, and it's truly changed my perspective on weight lifting and strength training.

He's a very approachable coach, extremely knowledgeable, always available for guidance. Our in-person sessions are fun and challenging, and it's been great to feel myself become get stronger than I thought I would be without getting any injuries or feel like I'm wasting too much time.

I train muay thai and had some prior weightlifting experience following programs on my own, but thanks to him I've gone from awkwardly putzing around a gym to successfully completing a challenge where I lifted 500lbs (and got a free t-shirt out of it.) I really can't recommend him enough.
