Christopher is clearly knowledgeable—he mentioned founding anti-gravity yoga and guided us through a well-rounded session that included stretching, strength work, and inversions. However, his humor is a central part of the experience and may not be for everyone. For example, he joked that we had to laugh while swinging or he’d come “tickle” us—but his tone and presence made it feel more like a command than a suggestion.
His feedback can also feel insensitive to different abilities and learning styles. A few beginners, who appeared new to anti-gravity yoga and were visibly struggling, was told, “No… no! / Figure it out! / Just try to look like me!”—which didn’t seem supportive, especially as the students looked uncomfortable and didn’t engage with the humor.
Photos were also taken on an iPhone (unclear if it belonged to Christopher or the studio) and Airdropped at the end; you can opt out during class if you prefer not to be photographed.
Toward the end, the studio’s small dog joined us in a hammock and barked to “help wake us up.” If you have pet allergies, it’s a good idea to call ahead and ask about accommodations.
The studio itself is clean, with friendly staff, a water dispenser, and well-maintained changing rooms and restrooms.
I would still recommend the studio overall—it has a welcoming atmosphere, and I had a great experience with another instructor. If you’re newer to anti-gravity yoga or prefer a more hands-on, supportive approach with a different teaching style, you might find another instructor at the studio to be a better fit.

In love with this place. A workout one is inspired, not dreading to do 😅 so fun, yet challenging; slow paced but so energizing. And instructors are so kind and professional (and they remember everyone’s names!!). Thank you 🙏

Such a great class and I was absolutely terrified to go since I’m deeply out of shape and the heaviest I’ve been in a while. Embarrassingly, I was the only one sweating profusely and also fell trying to hop into the hammock but everyone was lovely and Molly was SO encouraging, kind, and clear. She looked everyone in the eye and asked for their name and was slow, steady and specific when teaching. She brings such great positive energy, particularly for me as a beginner. I’m still scared but definitely going to go back.

I would give Antigravity Yoga 10 stars if I could! I tried aerial yoga for the first time and found the instructions clear, easy to understand and follow. I had a great workout and the most fun doing it. Didn't want the class to end! Melted all my stress away, and left in a great mood, SO GOOD! 🙌

I've been coming to Christopher's class for just over a month now and had to leave a review! I have a panic disorder that has affected almost every facet of my life. And while I know not every technique will be a best fit for everyone- attending this class has really helped me. I've known for a long time that the mind/body connection is incredibly strong and have attempted many times to heal both but for the most part traditional therapy modalities revolving around panic are tailored primarily to the healing of the mind. While this class is not labeled as therapy, I've tried so many other methods to get into my body but something about aerial yoga makes such a strong, healing connection. While the sensations of being upside down and some of the movements can be a bit overwhelming for someone who is overly sensitive to sensations in the body, its worth pushing through that initial discomfort and both Christopher and other instructors always encourage you to check in with your body and only do what you feel comfortable with.
After two classes, my body began trusting the process and every time I attend I find that I'm able to relax into the movements more and more. The new clarity in my body has allowed for clarity and calm in my mind. Now, when I begin experiencing panic, I have a new stability to draw from and because I feel so much better overall I've had the energy, strength and clarity to begin developing other habits that are further helping me address anxiety in my daily life. It's so worth a try and for anyone out there who may be experiencing similar issues or just need to feel more in touch with your body- I can't recommend it more!

Been to antigravity lab quite a few times because I just fell in love with it. The founder of the school teaches and he’s a great coach. He really encourages you to do your best, nothing more nothing less. Awesome classes!! My abs are already getting stronger just after a few classes.

I wish I could give it zero stars. I was there today and attended the class for the first time. The instructor did not measure the silk right as a result I couldn’t even start the class. She just kept looking at me with an unapproachable attitude and not helping atall.
Instructor makes or breaks a class. I cried and left early out of that class and she did not help. Will post and warn my 10k followers on TikTok !!
Worst mistake ever. Absolutely bad instructor.

I was introduced to AntiGravity yoga at Crunch earlier this year and I quickly fell in love! So I left Crunch thinking I'd like to check out the studio itself, where AntiGravity all started.
I'm already not impressed and I haven't even attended a class yet. That's right, I missed a class. 100% my fault for poor planning, true. But holy penalties.
If you miss a class, expect to not only lose an awesome fitness opportunity, the class credit / money you paid for, but also an additional late fee (not to be confused with the class you paid for). For comparison, if you miss a doctors appointment, you lose the opportunity for your check up, they may charge you the price of the appointment (that your insurance would have paid for), but they definitely won't charge you beyond that as if they suffered some additional loss by not having you present.
Unless this studio and its instructors are out-of-this-world fabulous, I'm not renewing my class pass.

NAMASTE...
FIRST I WAS WELCOMED WARMLY AND WITH FULL EXPLANATION OF THE PLACE BY A KIND MAIN DESK REPRESENTATIVE...
SECOND THE PLACE LOOK CLEAN AND ORGANIZED, THE SWINGS WERE FRESHLY WASHED...
EVEN THOUGH I SELECTED MY FIRST CLASS AND I WAS LOOKING FORWARD AND EXPECTED TO TAKE THE CLASS WITH TEACHER LAKE ON FUNDAMENTAL CLASS, THE TEACHER TREVOR WAS PROFESSIONAL AND REMEMBERED STUDENT NAMES WELL, ASSISTING EACH OF US IN DIFFERENT LEVEL PATIENTLY, SHOWING THE MOVEMENT WITH GREAT DESCRIPTION STEP BY STEP... WITH AN AMAZING BODY EFFICIENCY...
IT WAS MY FIRST TIME AND I CAN SAY IT WAS NOT A JOKE AS IT INVOLVE YOUR ENTIRE BODY, BEING A PHYSICAL BEING I COULD SEE THAT I WAS LACKING OF STRETCHING HIGHLY...
I JUST WISH WE HAD LONGER TIME IN THE SWING TO RELAX AT THE END OF THE CLASS ESPECIALLY AFTER TAKING A CLASS FOR THE FIRST TIME...
MAYBE FINISHING BY THE COCOON POSITION FOR FIRST USER WILL BE A GREAT IDEA... AS THIS WAS EMOTIONALLY MY FAVORITE POSE...
THANK *Ü* AND SEE YOU ON MY SECOND CLASS...

Despite the small space, the experience they offer is unlike anywhere else. From the more intense exercise to more a floating space-like restorative experience, this studio is filled with warm and friendly staff. They stock everything you need to make the experience better - peppermint, water towels. The classes are a little pricier than most exercise classes, but I found it worth my time.

Took the AG Suspension Fitness: Open Level class with Laura. She was engaging, remembered names and corrected form along the way. She offered variations for those who wanted to challenge or ease up on the pose so that everyone could participate and get the most out of it. There was enough space for everyone without bumping each other, and I found the class to be a good balance of workout and stretching! If there was a larger changing area, that would be great!

A real game changer for me. I tried regular yoga and enjoyed that but found that my natural lack of flexibility as a man made it a steep hill towards progress. With AG, I found that my playfulness and willing to take risks were engaged in getting me fit and flexible, rather than feeling inadequate. A warm atmosphere and a wonderful feeling.

I enjoyed taking Christopher's class. It was challenging, a great workout and fun. I enjoyed the positive spirit and encouragement that Christopher conveyed throughout the entire class. The next time I am in NYC, I am going to attend many more classes. Thanks for a great class, Christopher, and for inventing this type of fitness. I have been a fan of anti-gravity for 3+ years, and I am thrilled I have been introduced to it.

You have the BEST instructors. Always challenging, adventurous, fun, motivating, supportive, and they somehow manage to give personalized feedback and cues throughout class. AntiGravity Fitness--all variations--are so unique not just in comparison to all the other types of fitness approaches but even from one class to the next. Even with the same instructor, or taking the same type of class repeatedly, each class is always so different. Never routine. The receptionists are both so friendly and welcoming, setting the perfect tone for beginners and repeat flyers alike.

Fantastic Experience flying high with the Guru and founder of Antigravity Yoga Christopher Harrison himself! Highly recommend checking his studio out when your in Manhattan! I am a Certified Aerial Yoga Instructor now relocated to Florida from NY and Can't wait to share his genius moves with my students back in Florida! I will also be looking into becoming ANTIGRAVITY YOGA Certified by the founder himself in the near future!

I've been a student here for over 8 months now and I love it! The instructors are amazing and the classes are fun but real workouts! I don't think of AG as "yoga" (although many yoga terms and poses are used. I never liked yoga before). To me, this is more gymnastics, acrobatics, and fitness training. It is really open to anyone at any level of fitness who is willing to open his/her mind, trust the hammock, get to know your body, and "do your best, no better, no less." Every class can be a challenge with these amazing, talented, and strong teachers.

Thank you for such amazing instructors and I'm excited to grow and learn a new practice of fitness that keeps my mind both engage and calm (which for me is the most challenging!).

I love so many things about AG! There are asanas that feel reinvented in the hammock. Shoulder Stand takes on a whole new (quite literal!) meaning, and there is simply nothing that compares to a floating Savasana. Hip openers go to new depths, and playing in the hammock is just so much fun!
