Athletic Movement Protocol is a sports performance and fitness company that was developed to help people of all ages become the best version of themselves through strength training, nutrition coaching and recovery techniques.
AMP's Personal Training program which is an adult fitness coaching program that helps people aged 40 and up lose weight, gain energy and stay healthy to add more life to their years without the use of fad diets or workouts that leave you feeling beat up and in pain.
The Sports Performance training program for serious athletes aged 14 and up looking to optimize their performance by improving speed, strength and overall athleticism even if they’ve tried other programs or have dealt with frustrating injuries.

Outstanding gym experience.
From the orientation with Coach Hannah to the In Body Test providing a fitness baseline to the clean well equipped gym, my experience has been a positive one. Group classes are focused and well run. Coaches/trainers are friendly, knowledgeable and engaged. In four short weeks my fitness has improved dramatically.

I’ve done about 45 workouts at AMP Syosset and I feel great. I like the structure of the small class sizes, which do allow corrections in form and posture by the coaches. The coaches are great and they have great personalities and are knowledgeable about their field. I overall recommend. It is a good investment. You won’t regret it.

I’ve been strength training for close to twenty years, but joining AMP is the first time I've found something truly transformative. I’ve been at Equinox, NYSC, LA Fitness, utilizing programs from Starting Strength to Bigger, Leaner, Stronger, watching countless YouTube videos and reading books on form, fitness, and diet. But it was the coaches at AMP that made the biggest difference in my strength and fitness journey.
They align a customized program to your goals, consider accommodations based on your body type/limitations (I have shoulder impingement that they worked around), and get you on a program designed around YOU, supported by a group of like-minded clients who end up becoming an extended family. This is small group fitness training that you actually want to wake up for, where when someone gets a PR the whole place is there clapping and supporting them. AMP also supports you with diet and nutritional recommendations that get you on a path to transforming yourself.
AMP’s strongest asset is the coaching crew: they’ve hired the absolute best trainers I’ve ever worked with, all of whom are at the top of their game, went to school specifically for this role, and treat their personal fitness at the same level as that of their clients’. For students, AMP also runs an athlete training program that gives the athletes a competitive edge that colleges and universities will look for.
After trying so many fitness centers and programs, I finally found what I was looking for in AMP. Highly, highly recommended.

AMP is pretty awesome. Even though the strength training sessions are group sessions, each person has his/her own workout program. There’s always more than one coach per session. All the coaches are encouraging, always keeping an eye out for your correct form and making the tiniest of adjustments that make a world of difference. They up the difficulty as the workout becomes too “easy” for you. The conditioning session workouts change each week and are challenging workouts. AMP provides the guidance and routine of a strength training program that I need and is well worth the money spent (I’ve never paid for classes outside of my regular gym membership) .

My daughter joined AMP in June 2024 and has loved it. She has gained strength and confidence and is able to carry that over to her sport. After being unsuccessful in many gyms, I decided to try out AMP in the fall of 2024. It has been the best decision I've made for my health. Recently, I have been experiencing knee pain and was advised to take it easy with the knee exercises. If I was going to any other gym, I wouldn't know what to do with this information and, most likely, would have stopped going. The AMP trainers have been so supportive and have modified all of my exercises so that I can still participate and continue on this health journey. The trainers are so educated and compassionate. They really make you feel like family. My daughter and I LOVE going to AMP!!!

I genuinely couldn’t ask for a better gym/experience than this place. I started coming in early January and I immediately signed up. And I’ve loved it ever since. This place has helped me with my diet, weight, strength, muscle mass and speed. I am going to be playing Division 2 football this August and this is just what I need to get myself prepared. Exactly what I need. Not only has this place made be a better athlete overall, it’s made me a better person and shaped me into the person I am currently. My whole mindset has changed in such a positive way from this place, as well as my physique and strength. Sure things may get hard at times and you may feel like giving up which I’ve felt many times, but the coaches as a whole have thought me to be more disciplined then I ever have been in my life and to never give up. Ever. So that was two years ago lol. I am now a powerlifter. Still come to train here. Will be one of the best in the country in 5 years thanks to this place. This gym helped me place first in my last meet, many more to go!

The facility is clean, organized, and thoughtfully fitted out with a variety of equipment to support a multifaceted strength, speed, and conditioning program.
The trainers/coaches are professional, knowledgeable, and caring and support you as a whole person and the addition of new trainers/coaches is thoughtfully made to find the right team to maintain the culture and quality.
The classes are well structured to keep you moving and challenging yourself with adaptations quickly made to adjust for aches and pains and injuries or to increase the challenge.
The other members are welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental. As the adult membership has grown there are now a mix of new faces with a stable group that have continued…and the vibe remains supportive and welcoming.
All-in-all a great place to train - even if you aren’t an athlete, and just want to get in better shape.

I highly recommend Amp Fitness. I have always been nervous about going to classes and working out around others but they make you feel welcome and at ease. The trainers are very helpful and friendly and constantly making sure you are using the correct form. I was always athletic and fit until a few years ago. My son has been at AMP since 2019 and gifted me a month membership. I went but dreaded getting started, especially getting on a scale. AMP is like no other Gym. Joining this Gym has been one of my best decisions. The team of Coaches and Personal Trainers have motivated and pushed me to do my best.The atmosphere is like no other, high energy, positive and welcoming. Everyone knows your name. I’ve really enjoyed my training at AMP over the past month. All of the coaches have been great. Working out in a small group setting really allows the coaches to devote the time and guidance needed by everyone. The workouts are different every day, but are always fun and challenging. Aside from just working out, I’ve been able to learn a lot about nutrition and developing healthier eating habits. I signed my sixth grade daughter up for AMP for a trial class. We immediately signed up after the class as we were very impressed with the program. From the minute I walked in and met Hannah and discussed my goals and the program that she created for me has changed my life.Not just the work out but what I was eating(I don’t want to call it a diet but more of a change of habit). I was fortunate enough to have encountered Hannah and a group of other trainers who listened to my needs (and to be honest, my cranky attitude). They refused to pay my reluctance any mind (which was a good thing) and only encouraged me to do my best. Within the month the scale was moving in the right direction, muscle tone was improving and I was feeling better about myself. I wouldn’t be nearly as good of a hockey player if it wasn’t for AMP. I’ve been coming here for 5 years, and it’s transformed me from an average athlete into a high level athlete, and my strength and conditioning has never felt any better than it does now. I joined Amp for the Summer Shred- program 2 weeks ago. All the trainers there are very friendly, motivating and kind. Whenever I walk into the gym I am so comfortable. Working out in the small group training classes is such an amazing experience. Everyone else who is participating are all there for the same reasons, so I always feel at ease and like nobody is being judgmental. I know its only almost 3 weeks, but I'm already a happier person since joining AMP and part of that is because I'm in a positive environment whenever its time to take class!

I have never been a “gym” rat. I’m an outdoorsy girl and have been indoor rowing for many years now. I have been looking for a while of changing up my routine because I got Covid a few months ago and felt weak and I felt the need to “amp” up my routine.
I came into AMP instantly feeling comfortable and challenged. Hannah and John and other staff are alway there making sure you are doing the routines correctly and are with you all the way to help you reach whatever goal you set for yourself. I love AMP!!! Coming to AMP was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As an athlete I feel working out is just one of many ways to get better at your sport. Working out gets you ahead of the game and puts you in front of everyone else. I’ve had lots of trouble finding the right place to workout, especially because most of the places I went to didn’t give me the right type of exercises I needed to improve at my sport. Every exercise that I’m given at AMP has a purpose, and has helped me to significantly improve at my sport. Every trainer at AMP has a significant amount of experience working with athletes, and have helped me improve dramatically in a very short period of time. All the trainers at AMP know what they are doing and all of them are super nice and always fun to hang out with. I love working out with them because of this, working out has become very fun for me. Because of AMP I was able to make a travel team in Georgia, I have a higher bat speed, I can hit the ball further and harder, I can run way faster now, I can throw harder and faster, and I am in way better shape than ever. AMP goes the extra mile for all of their athletes and only want them to improve and excel. I even went from doing 115 pounds on the hex bar to 180 in less than six months, this just goes to show how good AMP is.

Where do I start....I love this gym it makes you feel like home. I started coming here in September for one of the challenges they offered for new members and realized this was the place for me. The work outs are very small groups were it still feels like a 1 on 1 personal training session. Coach Hannah knows exactly what she is doing when I feel down she pushes me to continue going on my weight loss journey and my muscle gain. This isn't only a gym they care and know every name of every person that enters AMP. If they didn't have these classes I don't know what I would do.
