I originally signed up a couple years ago as it was in my town, they had that "old gym" feel that I grew up with. Lots of free weights, etc.
At one point before they moved I had covid and then had a physical injury so I was not able to go to the gym for several months. When I decided I was ready to go back I showed up only to find them gone. They did not send out an email, nothing was sent in the mail, they just moved. Example number 1 of poor ownership and management to move and not alert those who maybe haven't been in a bit. But you're still collecting my money and I was fine with that as it was my choice up until then not to ask for a pause or anything.
At that point (still not knowing where they moved to) I looked them up and called and spoke with the owner (Erin I believe). I explained I just found out you moved, I'd like to cancel my membership. I didn't beat her up over not communicating the move, just asked to cancel. She agreed.
Several months go by and I realized they started billing me again. I was billed for about 4 or 5 months and had my credit card company change cards. I did not realize it at the time but Discover would still push through payments on the new card number from the old one.
Months go by again and I realized this and called the gym again. She apologized, confirmed she would cancel, and that was that. A solid 4 or 5 months pass without being charged and I find I'm getting charged again. I dispute with Discover, I call her again and this time a little frustrated I tell her for the third time I want her to cancel. She says yes.
Charged again 2 months later I call yet AGAIN and she said she would remember (insert my name) canceling and doesn't. I told her this is literally the 4th time I've talked to you specifically to cancel and was told it would be and it wasn't. Please provide written proof of cancellation to me. She asked if a screen shot would suffice. I told her absolutely not, you are the owner I don't care if it's written in ink and signed personally, please send something confirming my cancellation.
I have not been charged since (it has only been 2 months again) but I also still have not received confirmation of cancellation. My dispute with my CC company was reversed because I couldn't provide proof I cancelled any of the times.
I would not recommend this gym. I haven't stepped foot in the new location but ownership and management do NOT know how to treat their members and or be professional with subscriptions. Not to mention, let's call it what it was, stole $489 from me that I can date back to and MORE if I could go back in transactions to show. Not talking about the time I chose not to go due to injury, but starting from the first time I "cancelled". Completely unethical and if you made mistakes (3 times, we'll see about the 4th time I cancelled) just own up to it, make it right and stop billing me.

Huge thank you to Erin & her team at Atlas Fitness for hosting my daughter’s 11th birthday. Trace was amazing and kept the kids entertained while the parents were able to chat. The turf area is the size of two batting cages which was perfectly fine for our group of 12 kids under the age of 11 and a few soccer crazy adults.

I am giving this gym a five star rating. I am absolute gym rat and go all over the country working out. I Visit alot of gyms and this is a great place. When I train I take it very seriously!! I am usually bare foot, I am loud and often slam weights. This could easily offend alot of gym goers. It actually did offend people at Atlas. The owner came over to me and was very professional!! She understands completely my style of training and the gym culture. We had a great chat and I toned my workout down alitte and everything has been great. The equipment is old school at Atlas and that what I like. You have a variety of older machines that you don’t really see anymore. The dumbbells are on point and I think go up to 200lbs. I would highly recommend this place on all levels!!! I hope you try it and enjoy working out there like I do. 😊

Actual Best gym. MADE FOR GOOD PEOPLE, ORIGINAL MADE SETUP FOR ORIGINALLY UNIQUE PEOPLE. NOT FOR THE WEAK, AND I LOVE IT.

There was an issue with auto pay going through which has never happened before but instead of notifying me and getting it settled they sent it to collections. I had to pay a fee on top of the membership fee, when all atlas had to do was notify me of the error. Even if they make a mistake they will screw you over.

Greatest Gym in all of Rochester. Every small business should remain open. If you can’t handle being out in the world stay home.

Initially I started working out here because there was limited choices during the pandemic after my school gym closed. The staff here is very respectful and honest and if you like a gym with people who love the gym. This is the place for you , I support any and all gyms to remain open during the pandemic

I look forward to training at Atlas daily.
I've heard of this facility before; however, recent closures of my college gym has encouraged me to train somewhere new so I signed up!
After training there a few months, I have a few things to say about the gym. Firstly, It's a gym and it's open. - that accommodation alone is god sent in these pandemic stricken times. They posses all the expected pieces of equipment with more than enough machines, free weights and plate loaded leverage machines to keep things fresh and new.
It has a very friendly/family styled environment and the gyms population encompasses the whole spectrum: ranging from teenagers, middle aged individuals and even the elderly. - every body is respectful, welcoming and willing to take prolonged rest times with you to chop it up (who doesn't look for more time in-between sets sometimes! lol).
The owner is very warm, respectful and reasonable. She never hesitates to wave and greet every time I show up. She is always willing to listen and is tirelessly accommodating. If she's not at the front desk, often in the mornings you can find her using the facility herself!
Oh! Also its month to month, no ridiculous 5 million dollar one-time sign-up fee and if you stop paying, your membership simply cancels. Who does't like simple, contactless service!?

I was excited when the new ownership came in for things to change, but they didn’t.
I’ve been a member for a long time and it’s always had its issues but was worth the cost. The new ownership has changed things around, new paint and upholstery, TVs. That is nice and the gym does look better.
The issues I have is that they raised the monthly cost to members, there is no new equipment, and they took away gym and floor space unless you pay even more than the new monthly cost. Paying more for less.
My wife signed up to try out the gym; the classes have been the same online for a VERY long time and say “coming soon” and the staff that was asked knew nothing about the classes. We go in the morning - towels are available to use most of the time. The music is turned on some of the time. The treadmills have shocked people, one started on fire, and have not been maintained in probably 5-10 years. The “out of order” sign just jumps back and fourth between them. The staff has always seemed undertrained and uninterested.
I love to support local business but I cannot with this. New colors, same problems.

My husband and I went here a handful of times well over a year ago. Tried cancelling our membership but each time we have called nobody is available to handle memberships or the phone is simply not answered. No call backs. Ever. Had to cancel our cards just for them to stop charging us. We did not sign up for some lengthy contract. Discover says the company is fraudulent. Called again today. Surprise surprise. No answer.
As far as the quality of the gym.. it is dirty and outdated. Machines are not in good condition. “Locker rooms” are basically closets. Plan on changing clothes before attending.
