A warm and friendly yoga community, and the most beautiful space to practice in all of the historic district! The teachers do a great job welcoming newcomers and remembering names. Classes are suited for all levels. A variety of classes and special events. They really put their whole heart into that studio - you can tell.

I have done yoga in many different yoga studios and many different styles of yoga. This studio is one of cooler places I have done yoga. Its a mansion in downtown Rochester. Its worth checking out. Well taught and ran yoga studio. I always get a good work out, and I have moments of calmness and quietness. Good directions and good emphasis on what I feel is important. breath, movements, spacing and freedoms to explore my mat and finishes with a good 5 minutes of mediations at the end. I do what I want on my mat and they honor my space. thank you for being awesome...Namaste

I visited both locations of the studio and found the environments to be beautifully designed and welcoming.
However, the classes themselves didn't meet my expectations. I attended two different sessions, hoping for a gradual, progressive pace in the movements. Unfortunately, one class felt as intense as a HIIT workout, making it challenging to keep up with the breathing techniques. It seemed more focused on completing a set of fixed sequences (which reminds me of Breathe Yoga), rather than facilitating deep, body-opening work.
While the staff were friendly and helpful, the overall class structure was not what I was looking for. I appreciate the effort, but I won't be returning.

I have been practicing yoga for many years but have not attending a public class in so long due to babies, covid, and that little thing we love called, LIFE! I have been practicing at home nearly every day and recently went to Barry's with my two soul sistas!! Let me yell y'all that it's AMAZING!! very welcoming, diverse, HOTTTT, and fun! I really enjoy this place and Im a picky person, so try and it and let me know what you think!! If you like hot yoga and connecting with fun people, this place is for Y.O.U!

I’ve been going to Barry’s for a while and absolutely love it. Ryan & Lori are incredible teachers and the downtown space is beautiful and full of detail you’re always welcomed with a smile and great energy. Best yoga in Rochester.

I can’t recommend Barry’s enough. I am visiting Rochester for the week and took the All Levels 75 class, it was challenging but Ryan was amazing at leading us through the workout. Can’t wait to do another class when I am back! Thanks again Ryan! 🩵

This is the kind of space I want to take yoga in. Period. Lots of natural light, tall ceilings. YES. It’s inspiring and evokes expansiveness. Soo excited that Barry’s is breathing new life into this centrally-located, former yoga studio.
I’ve been going back and forth between Barry’s in Greece, Barry’s in city/East Ave, and occasionally Breathe in Pittsford. But this location has the best ambiance. And they always play good music before and during classes. 🙏
I work in the city and can sneak 10am Tuesday Foundations classes with Mandy into my day without getting too sweaty or needing to shower 🙌 I hope they keep this time slot when they re-open their other location (Greece).
Wish Karol would come teach foundations over on East ave once in a while too (Greece location teacher)!
