I can’t say enough great things about Iliana. My husband is NOT a dancer, AT ALL. And I really wanted to learn a dance for our wedding. I thought he would hate every minute of it, and I feel like if we had anyone other than Iliana that might have been true.

But Iliana made both of us feel so relaxed the whole time and made it fun and we were happy. No stress at all.

Deciding to take lessons from Iliana was one of the best decisions of our wedding. I (groom) was very nervous about the first dance. From our first lesson, Iliana eased my anxieties to the point that I actually enjoyed our lessons. On the big day, I felt fully prepared having choreographed the entire song and we absolutely crushed the dance. I told my wife the next day that the dance was my favorite part of the wedding. We also took lessons for the father/daughter as well as mother/son, and that was a great decision as well.

Ileana was absolutely wonderful. She customized a wedding choreography for us from scratch, making sure every move felt comfortable and suited our style. She put together a beautiful, well-structured dance in a short amount of time, with incredible coordination throughout. For our final dance session, she even added multiple layers of skirt to my outfit to resemble a wedding gown, helping us feel confident and stress-free. IIiana truly made our wedding dance come to life and so special. We would share ideas of what we were envisioning and she would make it come to life. She made us feel so comfortable as I was nervous at first since I never danced before. That feeling was gone within the first 2 minutes of being there. My husband and I wanted a choreographed first dance for our wedding and Iliana far exceeded our expectations! We came into the studio for our first lesson and gave Iliana our vision of what we wanted our first dance to be, which was a mashup of 4 of our favorite songs; Waltz of the flowers, This will be (an everlasting love), instrumental cover of Wildest dreams by Taylor swift, and Dancing Queen by Abba.
We didn’t know what kind of dance we were going to incorporate into our performance but Iliana was able
to suggest different dance types that we loved and had a blast learning! Her expertise and knowledge makes her the best of the best!! Over the course of our 10 classes, Iliana coached us and put together our dream dance. Our dance was a big hit, we still get compliments on it to this day. Iliana made our first dance an unforgettable and precious experience that we will cherish forever. Iliana also taught my Dad and I a few basic dance moves over the course of 1-2 lessons for our father/dance which also turned out amazing and was another unforgettable experience. I can’t recommend Ilianas ballroom dance center enough to use for your wedding dance/dances and for ALL of your dancing needs!!

Iliana made our experience great for our first dance! Very easy going and makes learning fun! I had a shoulder injury only weeks prior to my wedding and she was able to work with us to change some of the aspects of the dance to work around my injury. Everyone at the wedding loved it. My wife and I took lessons from Iliana to learn a first dance for our wedding. I was very skeptical of taking dance lessons, but Iliana was so welcoming and was an excellent teacher. It was a very enjoyable experience and we learned a lot of different types of dance styles. We have already discussed going back here next winter to have more dance lessons from Iliana. We couldnt recommend her more, especially for couples who want to learn a dance for their upcoming wedding.

My experience here was exceptional. We needed "emergency lessons" when we found out we needed to dance briefly during a theater performance. We received far more care and attention than I ever expected. Iliana listened carefully to us then helped choreograph a brief routine for us that was well within our skill range. Learning the routine was super fun! At first we were clumsy, awkward and enthusiastic. I kept trying to lead but we muddled through! Iliana watched us closely and made adjustments to " do what our bodies tell us." By the time we finished, we were able to demonstrate our routine to the director the very next day. What a fun, fabulous and energizing day with Iliana!!! I highly recommend her studio if you want to gain grace,
flexibility and confidence; while having a blast working harder than you ever worked at anything!

I have been wanting to start Ballroom/Latin dance lessons for awhile now. I was looking into different studios but then Covid hit. Once the world was going back to "normal" and things were opening up, I remembered that I was going to start dance lessons. Well the studio that I was first going to go to was closed. But I'm a HUGE believer in "everything happens for a reason." I searched on Google and Iliana's studio popped up!
I emailed Iliana for more details and within a few days I had my first lesson! I was very nervous at first (which is natural) but Iliana made me feel comfortable (and still does!) During my first 30 minutes class, I picked up 4 Latin dances! Iliana told me that I'm picking it up quickly (which boosted my confidence because I don't pick up anything quickly.) She then asked if I would be interested in coming to the group classes. Internally, I was freaking out with negative thoughts but I smiled and said "yes, why not."
At the group classes everyone is so welcoming and 0 judgement! I do love and appreciate the judgement free zone. At the group lessons there are all levels of dancers, I even learned new (to me) moves before Iliana had a chance to teach them to me.
Iliana is very accommodating with my crazy work schedule too. So if you have a crazy work schedule that's stopping you from coming to learn that is not a valid excuse.
If you're still reading, thank you for hanging in there! I came to the studio with goals: build confidence, lose weight, compete and possibly (long way down the road) teach. I have never went for a lesson where I'm not smiling and/or laughing. It's a little slice of joy and happiness in a world of negativity. Also, I'm in need of a dance partner for competitions and formals. And women (in general) love a guy who dances and is willing to help them to learn the moves.
My dance journey only started on June 18 so I'm a little under the 2 month mark but I'm loving it!

If you're afraid of dancing or rather need a refresher for future wedding engagement, this dance studio is what you want.

The instructor is very patient and the studio is flexible with your schedule. She teaches variety of dances from Smooth, Latin, Club and even Line dancing. Don't get discourage, if you can't grasp all her instructions. The dance structures will sink in eventually. "Just follow the beat of the music and the patterns or moves will be there" (One of the best advise I have received)

There are different activities at the studio: A private one to one lesson, a group lesson with other students, party/holiday dance, and this studio encourages the students to attend various local dance events including the very glamourous formal dance (Ball) engagements with full dinner course. (Is like a Prom but everyone has a date and dances)

After 38 years of marriage, we finally learned to dance together! These past four years of dancing have been so enjoyable, my husband had never danced, therefore I was totally shocked when he surprised me by checking out local dance studios and signed us up for lessons at Iliana's Dance. It's never too late to start dancing together and it isn't all about the waltz at our age...our favorites are the Hustle, Bachata, Jitterbug, Swing and Rumba.

As a male dancer, Iliana takes the time to teach how to lead anyone I choose to dance with. This is extremely helpful in building confidence in myself and any person I dance with at black tie events, special fundraisers that may offer music and dancing, as well as weddings. As a male dancer, being a strong lead allows my dance partner to trust the movements I am asking them to do and have a greater enjoyment of the music and the dancing without having to think. Which equals pleasure for both the leader as well as the follower at the same time.

My wife and I starting taking ballroom dance lessons about 5 years ago and really learned a lot, quite quickly too. The studio owner and teacher is very professional, courteous, knows her dances and how to convey it to dance students, all levels from beginner to advanced, she makes it fun though it can be challenging. The students becomes friends and are all very helpful and caring. We really enjoyed our times there, Iliana is an awesome person, we'll be back soon...

Illiana is fantastic. She treats you as an individual. In a second She can pick up where her clients need help and give instructions to get them comfortable and looking good on the dance floor. She is also fabulous at creating dances for brides. Not only is she fun to work with, she does not have that rigid, "my way or the highway" attitude so many (who think they are professional) dance studios have. The best!
