Terrible experience - the place is crowded and the staffs are lack of professionalism and respect to the customers.

While the instructor was nice, the class was very crowded (to the point that I couldn’t do some of the movements) and very hot. The instructor didn’t correct anyone’s form, and a lot of people had bad form and would probably hurt themselves! I think we used the bar twice, so for me this isn’t really a “barre” class.

Best workout I have ever gotten. This blew my mind it was SO hard!! Also the employees were so so nice and accommodating and helpful as I had a lot of questions and a few accommodations I needed. Good volume in the room too — it isn’t too loud. I like that the instructors ask permission to give you adjustments, and also they notice and show substitute moves if you seem to be struggling. I’ll definitely be coming back.
For such an intense fitness studio, I felt very included and I didn’t feel that air of exclusivity or competition that can sometimes be felt in more intense fitness classes or studios.
Thanks for the great workout.

As a member in a different state, I thought it would be fun to take a class at another location. The West Village studio delivered the same great energy and upbeat experience I've come to expect from Barre 3. The staff was friendly, and I felt welcomed as if I were a regular. I was challenged by the Signature class and sweaty in a good way by the end. I'd happily return to the West Village location if I'm ever in the city again.

barre3 West Village is the best! The studio's variety of classes, movements, and talented instructors keeps workouts engaging and fun. Having dealt with injuries/pain in the past, I appreciate b3's emphasis on modifications. It allows me to challenge myself without compromising my body, and I leave every workout feeling good.
The West Village studio is more than just a place to move; it's a supportive community. The incredible instructors, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere make every visit a pleasure. I'm so grateful to have found barre3 West Village!

I love barre3 so much!! I’ve never been a fan of working out at all, but this workout makes me feel so strong and powerful, and all the instructors and staff are so sweet and encouraging. Cannot recommend enough!
Edit: I've now taken over 200 classes, and still love it as much as ever! Love the recent addition of Cardio and Mindful Flow classes, I really feel like this studio has everything I could need.

My only regret with Barre3 is not finding out about them sooner.
When you enter the studio, you are always and mean always greeted with a smile. I have been part of studios that you only book with certain instructors, thats not the case at Barre3, every instructor is amazing. They all have their own vibe that they bring to the class that makes working out fun. They all have this natural but fierce way of motivating and challenging you through class. Not to mention their playlists always keep the energy high in the studio. And they change their workout series every couple of weeks, so you don’t feel like you are doing the same workout every day. Not only, do workout changes, but they have so many classes to choose from. Signature being my favorite but I always take cardio and strength to build endurance and muscle.
Between all the amazing staff and workouts, I am so happy to say not only do I feel better physically but also mentally! I guess, that’s what working out will do to you!
I’ll shut up soon, but if you’re ever having one of those days you need a win, this studio gives you a win, time and time again.

barre3 has definitely been an integral part of my fitness journey in NYC. I went through a couple of studios in Manhattan and Brooklyn and tbh nothing compares to the feeling barre3 gives you. (And I’m not talking about just the workout!) Everyone at barre3 tries to make you feel like it’s a safe space with no judgement; a space where you can move on your own. The instructors are always helpful with a smile and the receptionists welcome you into the studio that just gets you pumped every time! So grateful for my friend T for introducing me to barre3. Couldn’t recommend it enough! 🫶🏼

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how much I love this studio - and barre3 in general. The workout is so effective. I learned how to intelligently listen to my body and engage muscles in a way that yoga never taught me (and I am a teacher!!). I really love these instructors, but I love the methodology and what's it's done for me physically and mentally. I look forward to this workout every day because of how strong it makes me feel, and I love seeing the diversity of ages and bodies in the room - all there for the same reason - to just feel healthy, strong, and safe ✨
Whether you live in NYC or are just visiting, I highly recommend. First class is free, and since it's a 2nd story studio, you get to see the hustle of West village while you practice, which I think is pretty fun haha.

I have been coming to barre3 for over a year now. I have never been an athlete or a fitness person, but barre3 has taught me so much about muscles, form, posture, mindfulness and caring for my body. The instructors are total pros & I always feel so welcome here.

I go to different barre classes and this place is my favorite. The classes are always very engaging and the pace is perfect. Beginners can totally keep up but it never bores you if you are a regular. The location is also a plus for me.

Insanely competent instructors running you through a half barre half aerobics workout. Very cool and good for both advanced and less advanced. I have multiple injuries and feel very comfortable here— they know their stuff

I am not someone who ENJOYED working out, but I knew that I had to get some movement into my life for my mental and physical health. I never thought I would look forward to a workout class until I found Barre3. Don’t get me wrong- it is a HARD workout and I am consistently pushing myself. But the instructors are incredibly welcoming and always offer modifications (both easier and more challenging). The best part is that they don’t make comments about weight loss or gain or anything— they are simply concerned with movement and doing what makes your body feel good.

I found Barre3 on ClassPass but ended up getting my own membership because I just really love the community. I bring people when they come out of town and they love it (and are shocked at how hard it is!). Lovely light and bright space, instructors are very inclusive and considerate of all levels. And most of all their music is AWESOME. I’ve discovered so many songs through them that are on repeat in my daily life :-) Highly recommend!!

Beautiful studio, friendly staff, clean and they verify vaccination status. Which is appreciated. Awesome intro package and incentive to take an extra free class. As far as the Barre workout, we did not use the barre rather it was there is I needed it for stability. The barre primarily was a resting spot for the exercise ball. It is more of a cardio workout with some focused smaller movements but I think the exhaustion that occurs with cardio makes for sloppy form when it comes to micro movements. I didn’t want to take another class and be too sore again where I could barely walk for days. Not a good fit for me but try it out, maybe a good fit for you.

I've been a Barre3 fan for years now but the last six months at this location have amazon! This studio has truly talent and creative instructors so class always feel new. The desk team is very helpful and friendly.
The studio has two changing rooms and a bathroom with some amenities (dry shampoo, tampons, spray deodorant, makeup wipes, etc). However, there are no showers.
My only real complaint is I live pretty far so being part of the studio is a real time and financial commitment for me.

I'm so happy that this studio was available with ClassPass and that I still had some credits to use. This wasn't my first class there but definetly the most satisfying. Maybe it was the instructor, Lauren. I liked it so much that I'll get a package for my daughter as she commutes to the city several times per week. The place is beautiful, airy, and bright, the workout was hard but doable. The instructions were clear. Love 100%!

Barre3 is my jam!! Love the energy in this place. I found Barre3 through a neon coat promotion and I have gotten to take class with maybe 4 different instructors here and they all have great energy and lead a fantasic workout. Always leave here feeling great. Challenged, empowered and stronger! Highly reccomend trying out Barre3 you really will not regret it!

Not all the studio’s fault but barre isn’t for everyone! It was my first barre class. First, I was wayyy too hot and my sweating was distracting to me- AC should be higher. Also, I thought we’d use the bar more, but we didn’t use it all that much! I can do Pilates/aerobics at different studios or at home. I thought we’d do some cool and different ballet moves but it was mostly familiar exercises. Also, crowded, as everyone says. If you like barre3 already you’ll probably like this but if you don’t like sweat messing up your contacts and you already run/swim/do yoga and Pilates I don’t see what this adds. A lot of people had bad form. I like iyengar yoga classes bc of their insistence on form and getting my aerobic through running and swimming.

Obsessed. Best barre workout in NYC. Tones and sculpts my body quicker than anything I've tried. And the staff is notably kind and welcoming. It's a very positive, nurturing environment so people at every level of fitness feel right at home.
