Cancelling my membership because not only was I rudely told I have to have the app to get in but I wasn’t informed of the change. I haven’t been to the gym in a while due to some mental health issues and I finally had some motivation to go. Maybe train your staff to be a little kinder especially at 6:30 in the morning. I’ve been with you guys for years. I’m just done at this point.

The gym in kingsbridge/Riverdale is fine. It's a clean place. Staff is constantly cleaning and so are most of the members. Some hours are busier and there are tempers flared. Too many members on their earphones and they can't hear when you ask them how many more sets they have. For the most part it's a perfectly good gym.

Extremely rude at front desk. Went as a guest of a member. Had never been before the sign in process seemed cumbersome to me( maybe if it was explained might not be so bad) but the front desk guy just kept barking instructions at me. I eventually told him it was too much BS for me instead of telling him he was just too unwelcoming and rude!

The way this place is ran should be a crime. Ben the trainer (I do not recommend him at all) is a money hungry egotistical man who showed me pictures of girls he dated on our first training session which made me uncomfortable, without me asking to see at that. Ben then tied me into a $230.00 contract after I told him I was on medication that prevented me from working out but he insisted on selling me that package. Now, the store manager Leslie F is telling me Ben didnt receive payment for that however it was taken out of my bank account so who has it? Protect your pockets and ne careful with their staff. They are sharks.

If you want to see everyone in their mother, have a reunion come here if not skip and if your looking to cancel the membership blink fitness requires for you to pay the membership cancellation fee the same day or else your account will remain active and have recurring fees despite canceling the account. Honestly the gym be overly crowded, limited stations due to the high influx of people. On average per station, theirs about three to four people a station. No room to breathe.

And her manager, who was identified as corporate manager Leslie flores- I came to this location, mind you I’m an active fitness member for over one year. My original location is in Westchester where I have never faced this systemic issue. I left my ID in the car. There is no parking around this location. My preworkout kicked in, I am ready to pump iron and lift. I had to park and walk 13 minutes before getting here. She stated that I cannot work out unless I have my ID. I said I have my app. This is my gym, blink fitness. Just not my location. But you can see that I literally go here every single day. In the same instance, someone else was checking in , who did not need an ID, who was Hispanic; just like her. She let the Hispanic person go by and continuously told me, the black girl that I need to get my ID or I cannot work out. So I attempted to pled with her and stated, please let me finish my workout when I walk to my car, I will drive back this way and I can just show you my ID, if it makes such a big difference. I was so upset, but I am a professional person, so I will just leave a review and let the world know. It is so egregious. I’m disgusted.
Then the two ladies went and started, laughing and making jokes in front of my face. I am going to call the corporate office. This is unacceptable. DO NOT attend this location, unless you’re of Hispanic

I joined this gym Jan 25. Great staff, clean environment and always opening the doors at exactly 5am. I only have half hour to forty minutes to work out before headed to work, so this makes a huge difference. They only reason I don't give this location 5 stars is the fact that some members don't understand gym etiquette. They use two machines at the same time knowing that someone is waiting for that machine. I know there's a lot of selfishness in society, but do we really have to bring that into the gym community?

I’ve been a member here since 2017 due to the lack of options in the area and the gym has had its ups and downs. A good majority of the staff are great people especially those that help keep the place clean. All of the issues in other reviews are true, the crowds, certain staff, equipment, music, layout, etc. I learned today that they have a new payment system and they lost my card info even though I was on an automated payment plan. I have not missed bill for 8 years and they would not let me work out and update my payment later when I have my physical credit card. The “new” system does not accept cards through apple wallet or so I was told. I want to blame the policy but a little human consideration would have been nice.

New machines are bad. The adjustment weight that is built into the machine ( like a dial ) causes it to jam when using. Can really only go up in increments of 10 or 20. The seated leg curl machine has been messed up for months even after people complained. Can't really use the machine because the locking mechanism comes out which is a safety hazard. The leg extension machine button to adjust the leg position also doesn't work. The only way is to literally push the mechanism with your finger in the gear which is also a safety risk. In my opinion this can risk a potential lawsuit if someone jams their finger. Older machines were better. Overall the gym is good and so are the workers, but these are valid issues.

I went to Blink Fitness to clear a balance after being out of the country for a few months. After paying off the balance, I was told my account was no longer active and I needed to sign up again. I tried using the kiosk but couldn’t complete the payment without a physical card, so I signed up online. Despite a few error messages, the payment eventually went through—but I never received a confirmation email and was still denied access to the gym.
What made this experience worse was the manager’s attitude. She was a few feet away stocking protein bars, and instead of taking a moment to assist, she chose to yell over the blaring music that nothing could be done without proof of payment—just minutes after the charge had been processed. It was clear she had no interest in helping resolve the situation.
By the end of it, I had paid off an old balance, paid for a new membership, and still couldn’t use the facility. When I followed up the next morning after the charge posted, the manager casually told me to email proof and wait for a refund. That’s how Blink Fitness handles paying customers? Completely unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish.

Very friendly staff. But is ridiculous how much you guys increase the prices in the last year. Membership went up to almost $38 that's crazy. I decided to downgrade to save some money and you guys are charging $40 dollars to change my plan.. that means for the next 5 months I'll be with a downgrade plan but still paying the same amount. I understand things are more expensive but at the same time you should add more machines at least, theres been broken machines for months(not only on this location)

Horrible customer service and management. I’ve been a member of Blink in the past, and was considering reenrolling. I signed up for a day pass to check out the facilities and the manager at the front desk turned me away despite having a confirmation email & scannable QR code to check-in. She provided no solutions, and instead turned me away after having made that commute to this specific location. Will not be returning and completely disappointed in how discouraging the staff is to new (or returning) clients.

This is the busiest Blink Fitness gym in the Bronx and they only have one leg extension machine, one seated leg press, and one seated hamstring curl machine. It gets so packed and these machines are rarely available. I spend more time waiting for machines to be available than what I spend actually working out.
Also, whatever happened to the original schedule? It used to be open 24 hr Monday thru Friday, which really helped with the congestion of people throughout the day

I've been a member of Blink for almost 2 years and I had my doubts at first. It was for me between Blink and Planet Fitness. I never had a gym membership before and was doing my research in regards to what gym to join. I started out going faithfully to the Blink near Grand Central and since the Spring of this year I tried my hand at checking out other Blink Gyms in Manhattan and in the Bronx. I decided in June to stop by the one in Riverdale and from the moment I stepped in I can feel a difference. The atmosphere is very comfortable and I never had an issue. I have been impressed with the staff, front desk help. Jennifer at this location has been very cordial and helpful to me. She helped me set up a free 30 min PT session, that for a long time I felt I had no need for. I enjoyed the session with Ramon. The whole staff is wonderful as they are very cohesive as a team and someone is always cleaning the facility. I know ppl usually are particular in their gym experience, I'm just starting out and just into the basics. I never left the gym feeling disappointed in not fulfilling my workout goals.I hope God-willing to attend this location more in the future.

I love working out at this gym. My only complaint right now is machine hogs. People think it’s ok to hog up the machines and have other people wait. People are so inconsiderate. They love to hog up the leg extension machine. I could never use that machine. Then there’s a line of people waiting to use it. They should add more of the leg extension machines because of this problem. Some people just sit down on the machines and are not even using them and are texting on their phone. The other gym users make going to Blink a bad experience. Staff does not enforce any rules either.

Por la información incorrecta de un empleado, tuve que pagar $105 dólares sin usar el gimnasio, me dijo que mi hija de 14 años no podía inscribirse que tenía que hacerlo yo , me inscribí y al otro día la llevo y me dicen que no se puede quedar sola , que si quiero la ponga en la membresía de menores de edad y la autorice para que vaya sola . Hago eso después intento cancelar la que ya había hecho por qué el empleado el día anterior me dijo que ella no podía tener una membresía , voy al gimnasio y me dice la manager que tengo que pagar que ellos no pueden hacer nada, sin buscar una solución una señora muy cortante , de hecho la otra empleada fue más Ana Ale conmigo y trato de ayudarme . Capaciten a los empleados antes de ponerlos a trabajar no es justo que uno tenga que pagar por errores de empleados de ustedes.

I had a fantastic experience with trainer Daniel C. His approach to training was very effective, and his expertise was evident during our sessions. He explained complex concepts in a way that was super easy to under and encouraged me during the session which made the training super fun. I would also like to comment on his punctuality and professionalism. He was well prepared and made sure to meet my fitness needs. Overall, I found my training session, fun, challenging, and rewarding. I feel confident because of our session; his passion for fitness is contagious and inspired me to live a healthy lifestyle. The gym was better and more functional before the remodel. It’s otherwise clean and the staff are great (aside from one very rude trainer who has her clients hog equipment).
My main warning for those looking to have an efficient workout concerns how some people treat the gym like their personal workout studio. It’s inappropriate to occupy an entire corner of the gym for hours, stack dumbbells to use as stools for workouts, and then on top of it be rude to people who want to work in to knock out sets. I get that the Bronx doesn’t have many gyms so we are all crammed into a few options, but we are all paying the same rate and ought to have equal access to equipment.

The early morning staff during the weekday are superb. Handle complaints exceptionally well and keep the gym very clean. The new layout of the equipment as well as the removal of certain machines such as the other leg extension machines, standing calf raise and the two extra cable machines have led to less opportunities to use popular machines which wasn't a big issue prior.

I've been a member here for two years and never had an issue until they added these new machines. I used to be one of the people showing up at 9pm to avoid crowds and now this place is more full than its ever been. And that wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that none of the staff come onto the floor to inspect things.
For instance, when a group of 5+ come in and completely take over a machine and stay on it for an hour plus. I thought we were ALL expected to be efficient on machines but not if you're in a group. I come here alone and struggle sometimes to even get a workout in. If it isn't fighting someone for a machine it's other people coming to me, when a group is on the same machine across from me, to ask when I'll be done. The staff here shouldn't be timing people but they should be paying attention to larger groups (they're plentiful) and making sure they aren't ruining everyone else's experience because they wanted to group up.
Sent an email outlining my concerns to blink and got a response saying a manager would contact me. Guess how that turned out?
Blink; instead of these boilerplate responses you give everyone here, why not just address the issues? I won't be attending here much longer anymore. Real shame.

The new equipment installed this year has been great. There is improvement in this aspect. However, there are still some chronic issues. The elliptical machines in the second to last row near the stair masters have a major problem. Every time I get on the two near the wall they shake and almost flip as they are unstable and not secured well to the ground. This has been an issue for two months and nothing has changed. Furthermore when the God-forsaken alarm goes off on Saturday afternoon either evacuate the building or shut it off in a minute or two. But this nonsense of it blaring for 10 minutes with the most annoying noise I’ve heard and nothing is done to shut it down immediately is ridiculous.

Crowds of people but less, worse machines.
Have three times been kicked out or turned away for wearing work boots or shoes. Which is crazy because I’m gonna squat or deadlift barefoot anyway, which is allowed. Meanwhile half the girls here are half naked or wearing the tightest possible, semi transparent clothing. Kind of awkward, strange and distracting but hey I’m a guy, who am I to complain. Just kinda weird I’m the only one with a dress code lol

I guess it’s just time for me to upgrade gyms since the machines are now worse than planet fitness & the overcrowding, influencer energy is annoying & you have to talk to these people now, interrupting their video to ask to get in line for their machine because there aren’t enough.

Staff is horrible, Manager “Lesly” is miserable.
She didn’t allow me to work out for one day because of some sort of “balance” when I had spoken to another gym representative and they had the courtesy of allowing me to pay the balance on Friday when I actually get paid. I don’t live in the area and wanted to work out for the day. And the girl with the red wig had a nasty attitude they refused to give me her name. I guess they’re work besties …. And I also have a male friend who is a regular at that location and he had told me they never gave him an issue when he had a past due balance. They should get a new manager and some new staff for this location cause she’s very picky and choosy about who they allow at the gym.

The staff is great but ever since they got the new equipment this place has been A MESS. A few things that have gotten worse:
The dumbbell rack doesn’t have any numbers on it so the weights are strewn all over the place and sometimes not put back at all.
The new cable machines only go up in increments of 5? And the additional weight bars are also 5lbs? What sense did that make?
There’s only ONE leg extension and it is an absolute war zone trying to get on it.
It leads me to believe that management had NO IDEA how their members use this gym.
I appreciate the new machines but please consider adding another leg extension and a better system or rule in place for members to put their weights back.

My local Blink! Great spot. There is always someone cleaning. Front desk will ALWAYS say enjoy your work out. It's so conveniently located. Large amount of treadmills, ellipticals and weights. The bathrooms are spotless you can enjoy your work out in peace. I love this gym, I've been a member for many years

Enjoy coming to this gym because it is a big location. I also love the new addition of the hack squat and hip thrust machines. However, what happened to your cable machines? Other than the ones in the middle of the gym, there are only two other cable machines. There were 4 before you decided to switch out the equipment. Now I can barely get ahold of cables in this gym which is a big disappointment. You have the space available where the last cable machines used to be ???? Don’t understand the logic in that. Now there are people lining up to use cables or harassing each other. Add back more cables and this would be my permanent location.

I am so disappointed in this gym a short time ago that I signed up because I considered that among the other gyms in the area it was the most complete in terms of its training equipment but not a month passed after my registration and they changed all the equipment and what a disaster For God's sake you can no longer train happily now I feel that instead of training what I do is stress myself out every day fighting to be able to use a machine today was total chaos I left super angry I couldn't complete the few remaining machines they are always there busy and with lines waiting to use them

Who ordered this new equipment? There’s no bars for any of the tension cable machines, so you basically can’t use them. They obviously didn’t do any assessment of what gets used. There is ONE leg extension machine. They used to have 4 and they’d all get used. They basically now have all of the cheap machines planet fitness has. Same awful calf extension, same awful rear and front fly machine. Not to mention the #1 issue here is always that there’s not enough smith machines, and they bought the exact same number of them 😐

The manager Shannel is desperate for new memberships so don’t dare visit on a free trial provided by blink on their website for this location if you ever trialed a different location before. She will tell you that she doesnt think you're abusing the free trial but then proceed to treat you as such and then ruin your whole work out. I expected so much more from the blink brand but unfortunately this location disappoints, tremendously.

98% of customers not happy with the toys equipment.

Machines and put one back. They took the all the accessory’s and handles to the cable machines so BRING YOU OWN if you want to work out. The new matrix equipment is sub par I am over 6ft 4 inch’s so I am unable to use cardio equipment and strength training equipment because the matrix equipment is for average male height. So blink is not for everyone. Avoid this gym and make your way to crunch where they have real equipment and better equipment. Plant fitness is around the corner from here join there at least they know what kind of gym they are. Blink thinks they are some kind of ultimate gym but nah it’s trash. Blink corporate doesn’t care because they don’t workout or they workout at equinox and don’t care about the regular people. The staff is great.

He tenido evento desafortunados con mi hijo en esta localidad de Blink, empezando con hacerle pasar un mal momento cuando iba como invitado de un amigo, visito por meses como invitado con 14 años. Un buen día lo detuvieon en la puerta y sin explicación no lo dejaron entrar. Luego explicaron que por la edad no podía. Luego de haberlo visto durante 3 meses.
Ese mismo día saqué la suscripción de mi hijo, en dos meses siguientes cobraron un mantenimiento anual, que no explicaron cuando lo suscribi, pero acepte el cargo. Unos meses después cancelan la membresía, sin avisar y sin to solicitarlo. Nueva vez me dejan fuera a mi hijo y me presento personalmente, ese día me cobraron dos meses que dejaron de cobrar. Luego al siguiente mes me cobraron otra vez el mantenimiento en menos de 6 meses. Me acerque a la gerencia quieren después de varias semanas y muchas llamadas de mi parte promete devolverme todo el dinero cobrado de más debido a varios errores cometidos por ellos. Casi un mes después recibí solo una parte del dinero que cobraron de más, creo que en mi caso fueron irresponsables y mentirosos ya que recibí llamada de la Gerente Leslie, para informarme de los reembolso. Siempre que la llamo esta muy ocupada o no está. Me siento estafada por esta generencia.

Been coming here for years and this place gets worse every year. There is 1 guy that cleans, rest of the staff does nothing. Weights are left all over the place. Members use multiple machines and are rude but mgmt does nothing. Machines are broken for weeks and equipment is missing. Now they close early on weekends because the staff is too lazy to work a minute past 7pm

I've been a member at this location for many years, I had an incident last week where my membership had expired the same day I went and I didn't realize it. I left my wallet at home and I ended up having to deal with Leslie, one of the managers, she was not helpful, in fact she had me go back home instead of giving me a courtesy pass which one of the other managers had told me later on that she was suppose to offer me that pass. I did renew my membership the next day with a different person at the front desk which was very helpful. I am writing this review because I see that every time any of us have any questions and issues she always has an attitude, not pleasant and not helpful at all.

Most of the equipment works most of the time, but good luck getting a machine. Even at 9pm this gym is totally packed. Plan on spending an extra 30 minutes here to wait for machines. They clearly sell more memberships than the gym can support and expect most of them not to show up. Been coming here for a year and it’s always like this weekday evenings.

After going there for such a long time, its getting worse by the customers that are attending to the gym. A lot of couples staying in one machine for an 1 hr not giving opportunities for others to used it. They basically stay hanging out by the machine. A few machines keep getting broken/out of order. For new customers, be ready because You will be seeing the same group of people at all hours at the gym.

Awesome place with a really cool staff and a ton of cool people just going to the gym. It's a great headspace to be in and there's plenty of equipment to get a great work out in with the space for it. My biggest issue is in how popular it it's difficult to get certain racks or weights during peak hours and about an hour before and after peak hours. If you're not looking for specific things then this is a great place to go to at anytime but if you have a routine that needs certain weights and racks, I'll recommend going during off peak hours, or the time that works best for you that doesn't fall into a peak hour window

Blink on Broadway is a fair gym and offers reasonable value for the fees. My biggest feedback areas are:
a) The lack of parking. I go in the mornings and on weekends to avoid issues. I can't imagine what it's like in the evenings. The gym is not part of the mall parking. Consider this when signing up.
b) I once lost/replaced a card and the staff refused to let me work out. I told them I left my wallet at home. Nope. I mentioned I've been a paying member for years and asked if I could work out and fix it before my next workout. Nope. I guess that's policy but it left a bad impression.
Overall, I'd say it's been a positive experience working out there. It's not as pricey as NYSC or Equinox, which works for me.

I enjoy this gym, the staff is cordial and always willing to help what I like the most is that they keep it super clean the 5 am environmental employees work so hard to have everything nice and neat, when I arrive at 5 all weights are reorganized, past 4 pm it can get very crowded and messy but they do the best effort and get the Gym like new for the other day.
They have multiple machinery to choose from and open space for freestyle training too 🫶🏼✨
I wish I can get music more energetic whenever I forget my headphones 😂 but the staff is getting better on that aspect.

This mis for blink Riverdale. The staff is great barbells dumbbells are good. But they lack which has been frustrating is good upper body machines. They only have only one chest supported row machine which has been broken for 2 months now. I wish they had more back machines and chest machines. They need an incline chest machine, low row machine and seated row machine, not cable because they have those at blink. I know I can do these exercises with dumbbells or barbells. But machines are great to put you in position to maximize your muscle contraction with out having to stabilize your back and also great for older people intimidated by barbells and dumbbells. I went to check out planet fitness and they got tons and tons of machines i was impressed if blink had those machines with the dumbbell are and barbells they got they would be the best. Planet fitness barbell and dumbbells where not as good as blink. I hope somebody in this organization would do something about it. For this reason I’m always keeping an eye out for other gyms. If I see one that fits my schedule I may have to leave blink. Was considering having a blink and a planet fitness membership just for the upper body machines there. This is coming from a serious lifter.

Have returned back to this gym after a long unnecessary break and it's still a great place to work out at. Definitely a crowded gym, but that only verifies that the community enjoys this place. Only 1 broken machine in the entire place and it's because the arm of a rowing machine snapped off from too much weight and abuse.
