Charlotte held a fun and informative private CPR class for my family and I. She made sure the steps were drilled into our heads while keeping things light and fun! We all feel so much better having taken this course with her as we have little ones running around. Also just a good skill set to have in general. Highly recommend!!

I have been coming for a little over 6 months and I love it here! First I love its always a warm yoga room to start class in(not hot or cool). 2nd the fluidity of each class and instructors is amazing. I can get a great strength class one day and then a refreshing restore class the next. Breathe Strength is great for novice and beginners. Its also has some great classes targeted to get a good stretch for lifters.
It also compliments the barbell club next door very well!

Breathe Strength is one of the most phenomenal businesses I’ve ever seen. The personable touch from Charlotte & her team makes any yogi feel right at home! Whether you’re a beginner like myself or a seasoned vet, this is the place to go for yoga! Would recommend this until I’m blue in the face!

We recently took a family CPR course with Charlotte. It was a private family course. We learned infant & adult CPR, AED and choking protocol. It was very informative in a pleasant setting. I highly recommend this for anyone expecting a new baby in the family. Actually I highly recommend it for everyone! I feel so much more confident & prepared now. Thank you Charlotte!

My husband and I are expecting our first child and wanted to make sure both of us and my family knew CPR and choking protocols. We opted for a private CPR course with Charlotte which was amazing!!! We all got CPR certified and learned so much. Charlotte’s class was the perfect amount of information without being too overwhelming. I would HIGHLY recommend any new parents/grandparents taking this class in preparation for a new baby!

2023 Update Review: I wanted to come back and update my review just to state that I still am a committed Breathe Strength yogi! I still live in Astoria and just reached my 145 classes milestone this month, despite the studio's move out to Long Island. I continue my connection with Charlotte and her group of teachers through her virtual class offerings. It's super affordable yet still keeps me accountable for my health and well being. Still 5 stars!

2021 Review: Breathe Strength is the reason I moved to Astoria. Okay, perhaps that's stretching it a bit. However, I'm not lying when I say that I listed Breathe Strength on my "pros" list for moving into my apartment a year ago - and the studio wasn't even open yet! I counted down the days until donation-based community classes opened, allowing for a low-pressure ease into my new world of working out. Once courses started being offered, I opted for the 10 Class Pass, knowing that the price was reasonable and a great motivator for me to leave my couch. I tried Pilates, open level vinyasa + breath work, and some open level courses that were a bit more intense (shoutout to 11:45 on Saturdays with Jen SanMiguel!). From day one, my name was remembered by all teachers, and by the studio owner herself - Charlotte Muller.

I felt pretty sad when I stopped attending classes at the beginning of this pandemic, not feeling fully comfortable to enter communal spaces. How happy I became when Charlotte effortlessly (or so it seemed from the client end of things!) transitioned an entire studio space into a virtual format. Once I finished up my 10 Class Pass, I upped my membership to an unlimited monthly, and then to a replenishing unlimited monthly! In addition to classes, the studio offered Oracle Readings and Women's Circles to build community.

I've never worked out so much in my life!!! At the beginning of lockdown, I joined classes almost every day, seeking a way to ground myself and find a rhythm to my new days. Now that I've picked up working part time, I've found a perfect groove of classes that I attend every week - thank you to Mackenzie, Charlotte, and Gili! Now, not only am I flowing and stretching, but I'm also HIITing as well. I embrace my soreness, my distasteful exercise grunts (thankfully muted!), and the community I've found while working towards a healthier me.

I’ve been a part of the breath strength community for going on two years now and could not love it more. It’s the perfect balance of strength and mindfulness and have the most special, amazing instructors. So thankful for them!!

As soon as you walk into Studio B you feel all the love, devotion, and dedication that was put into creating the space. Charlotte has created a true sanctuary on Long Island where anyone can come in and feel at peace within their body. The classes that are offered here are rooted in the true teachings of yoga. It is super clean, full of plants, and friendly humans which all come together to make the perfect place to practice movement with community. I am so grateful for Studio B!!

Breathe Strength is my home away from home! When I am not teaching there on Thursday nights, I am taking classes! Charlotte, the owner, leads with love and compassion always. She cares deeply for her students and the studio. The physical space is spotless and decorated beautifully! The natural light that streams in through the windows creates the most beautiful vibe! All classes taught by Melissa and Charlotte leave me feeling supported, challenged and totally blissed out! Come practice with us! We can’t wait to see you!

My daughters and I took a private yoga class with Charlotte. She was extremely accommodating, warm and welcoming. She stayed at a level that my youngest daughter (5 yo)could stay engaged. We are new to yoga and walked away with a new love! If you have a girl pack like I do I highly recommend taking a secession with Charlotte. It was a wonderful experience for us!

I attended a yoga class with Charlotte this semester at Hofstra University. The class has benefited me both physically and mentally, and I’ve been able to use the methods that she has taught us outside of class. Not only have I been able to practice yoga physically, but I learned so much more about yoga than I knew before.

I took Hatha yoga at Hofstra University with Charlotte and it was a great experience. She's so positive and so kind and you will truly feel better and less stressed after every class. She talks you through the moves and anyone can do it.

In my past experiences, I have never been as excited and enjoyed other yoga classes by far as much as I have these past few months with instructor Charlotte Mueller at Hofstra University. Charlotte does a great job at keeping her students engaged with making connections between yoga and daily life. Additionally, she just has this passion and deep-rooted love for what she teaches that spreads out to her students. Not only will you get a good workout, but she makes sure to interact with her students to customize and modify the practice so that it is relevant and attainable for people with all different levels of strengths. Totally recommend, especially for beginners with yoga and I cannot wait to continue to grow with her as my instructor!

I took my first Breathe-Strength class (Basic Yoga) on Monday, October 7, 2020 - but I had known of Charlotte since early September. I'm a +size runner who can't run very fast nor very far - but I run every other day without fail. I reached out to Charlotte for yoga training because I had gotten a tentative diagnosis of hip labral tear combined with bursitis - because of which I was (heavily) advised not to run for 3 months. I wasa genuinely scared - because yoga felt unattainable. I thought it was for the ultraflexible, who could headstand/balance on forearms. I would sometimes sign up for the mid-morning classes when I knew there were less students so I could try/fail/try again without fear.

But my nerves were entirely unfounded, Charlotte and the other teachers like Naj/Mackenzie/Gili all met me with love, compassion, and patience. They set up a safe space, so I could slowly push myself and my physical capabilities. If you were to ask me why I came to Breathe-Strength, I would tell you: it's not just the classes where it's Open-Level. Anyone and everyone is welcomed in through those doors. For this reason, I am, and always will be, one of the studio's biggest advocates.

Breathe Strength is a true gem in our neighborhood and I will forever be grateful for Charlotte who opened her doors and arms to this community. From the moment the studio opened, Charlotte offered a number of different classes, workshops, group meditation and pop-up events that created a welcoming, comfortable and nurturing environment. Even as we have had to all go virtual, her classes, energy and enthusiasm is a huge motivator to get up and stretch, move and sweat. If you were looking for a studio, look no further -- Breathe Strength is IT.

If going to a yoga studio intimidates you, start here. Charlotte is the absolute best. I started out with the slow flow & restore classes and am always awed by the love and support in class, whether virtual or in person. Whether you're looking to sweat it out or stretch it out, you'll find a class for you here. I hope you give Breathe Strength a chance, cause it's so, so worth it.

Breathe Strength is the first studio where yoga has really "clicked" for me — I had tried to get into the practice at several studios in New York before ending up here. Firstly, the studio is gorgeous, with a ton of natural light and plants that make it feel like a little oasis in the middle of Astoria (there are actually two studio spaces here, a front one with a full-length mirror for things like barre, and a more meditative back studio. There's also a lounge with tea!). The yoga flows are always creative and the open-level format means they're as challenging or beginner-friendly as you need (there are definitely a mix of students of different levels in the classes). I also highly, highly recommend the fitness classes: HIIT + Flow and its shorter version, HIIT Express, are SUPER ADDICTING. Definitely a great value and the introductory offer is a steal. Also there's a ton of extra videos/tips on their Instagram for free!

I've walked by breathe strength studio prior to the pandemic (live close by at 2-3 blocks) and was curious about memberships and did my due diligence before inquiring.

My studio (OTF) suggested that I look into yoga to restore and prevent injuries for shin splints I've gotten from doing Orangetheory 4-6x a week.

Unfortunately, that is when the quarantine began but I follow the Instagram and even borrowed weights from Charlotte! She is ever so kind!

I am by no means a yogi of any sort quite yet and have been very slowly learning from sessions with friends and will try to fit myself into some of the zoom classes they've continued to offer remotely.

Thanks so much for being super welcoming even for a non-member! I will spread the word and also probably end up joining because of the good vibes and how sweet Charlotte is!

Charlotte and her studio have truly kept me sane during this pandemic so far 🕊 She teaches with such heart, and I love that she does a blend of yoga techniques and HIIT classes too 🤸‍♂️ I love that she emphasizes the combination of physical and spiritual yoga, and right now is teaching us a new Yama every week 💜 She designs her class flow and combinations in such a beautiful and creative way, I am always surprised and inspired. And I’ve only taken one of her classes in person! Highly recommend to anyone ✨

As soon as your enter this studio you feel like you are home. It's warm, inviting, and so beautiful! There are plants everywhere, textured pillows and rugs, and small touches that reveal how much love Charlotte has put into developing this space to be a place where people feel welcome. And boy did she nail it!

Charlotte's HIIT workouts are kickass and her yoga classes are informative and I always leave feeling lighter Also don't miss Gili's class... every time I take her class I learn something new about the practice/my body.

I love this studio so much and it is one of the reason's I am so happy in Astoria -- I have tried two others in the area and this is the BEST!

How many yoga/fitness studios have you gone to, been rushed in and rushed out, and just felt like another body to fill a slot? THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE STUDIOS. The instructors learn your name the first time you walk in, and genuinely care about you and your wellness! Breathe Strength is by far my favorite place in the city. It has reinvigorated my passion for yoga and I'm so grateful I found it! I so miss the studio and all the green plant vibezzz, but Charlotte has been absolutely killing the virtual fitness game. Not only has she been leading engaging, fun, high energy virtual classes, but she's been offering FREE workouts and resources via instagram. Definitely get there when they reopen, but until then, buy yourself some virtual classes!

Breathe Strength is a game-changing studio and has awesome instructors. The classes give specific, practical guidance in a way that is soothing and motivating. The studio has such delightful variety and creativity, unlike any other yoga I have ever experienced. I leave the practice feeling energized, centered, and as though I have improved. I am so impressed with how Charlotte and her team have transitioned so successfully to virtual classes during the COVID-19 quarantine. Their energy shines through the camera lens. I am so eager to get back to the physical studio, and I so highly recommend this studio.

There are a good handful of options for yoga studios in Astoria, but I wanted to check this studio out because it was a lot closer to my house than others were. I saw there was a new student special, so I said “why not?” and I’m so glad I did!

Breathe Strength is such a beautiful studio, both aesthetically and the people inside. I am warmly greeted by name every time I enter the studio. The equipment is very nice and the studio is kept very clean. There are two practice rooms as well as a lounge, which is a nice touch. The entire environment is very well thought out, warm, calming, and beautiful.

The class sizes are smaller than a lot of other studios (obviously I want them to succeed and have super full classes, but the small is nice for now!), so it’s great getting that personal attention when I’m working on further advancing my practice. The instructors are warm, patient, and willing to help you in any way to further your practice, whether it's pushing you further or helping you work through an uncomfortable position.

I really appreciate the variety of classes offered. I decided to upgrade to the monthly unlimited membership, so it's great to be able to get HIIT fitness classes, barre, and pilates classes included as well. Special events and classes are also offered that look like a lot of fun!

I'm so thankful I've found this community and can't wait to continue in months to come. I'd be here every night if I could! I can't say enough good things about this studio and the people around it.

This place is a DREAM. As soon as you walk in, you can just feel your energy lift. The teachers are incredible—especially the owner—and I'm obsessed with the little sanctuary you see when you walk in (see pic). The yoga room in the back is so peaceful, ANNND I must add: This place is way more than just yoga. Highly recommend the hiit + flow class. The perfect mixture of high-intensity movements + vinyasa + restorative. I'd give Breathe Strength 100 stars if I could, but Google won't let me. If you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and just G-O.
