Came to watch a friend play. Seemed like a decent place for hockey and hockey related activities. Can't say much for the ice since I didn't play but my other friends and I dinked around in the arcade and bar and enjoyed ourselves. The food is definitely overpriced for what ya get: greasy, easy-to-make, bar food.

I came with my son for public skating.
This place reminded me of my childhood rink( shoutout to Winding Rivers Skating Center n Tomβs River NJ).
2 rinks, one was being used for hockey practice the other was for public skating.
We pretty much had the rink to ourselves which was nice.
Was $30 for the 2 of us including skate rentals.
Rental skates were a bit wonky but that seems to be industry standard.
The person at the front desk was very nice and helpful.
Once we were done skating we watched hockey practice for a bit and then left.
Definitely was a great experience and I would happily visit again.

This could be an amazing facility if it received any TLC. No one here even empties a garbage can. It's filthy. Probably the dirtiest rink I've seen. The potential is there. It just needs the right management.

GROSS! the bathrooms upstairs and downstairs have mold and smell horrible! The rinks are insanely foggy and itβs nearly impossible to see anything, bleachers are dirty, crappy net pegs, this might be one of the worst rinks Iβve ever seen in my life! I donβt know why there not doing anything about this place, itβs a safety hazard!

Let me explain why I gave it 2 two star sorry I have to consider everything involved if you plan to come to this rink regularly
1) facilities - old, dirty, especially the locker room
2) town - only gas station, one deli. Nothing has price tag. Is it even legal??? Selling something but put no price tag??
3) road and traffic - be mindful there are two intersections you can easily have an accident. One is a curvy road but a shape turn, you canβt see whatβs ahead of you. Today a UPS truck almost hit me. Right after that another one when I was trying to turn in, there is a facility next to the rink entrance road where you can expect big trucks block your way a lot, and the entrance road is right next to it another super sharp turn. You either drive very slowly or you will miss it. If you stop sharp then would be another car accident
4) if you are a parent and you want to go checkout this towns library, be aware they donβt give you access to their bathroom. You need to explain your pee situation to someone to key in the passcode for you. And the parking is up to one hour :)
I am speechlessβ¦..
Sorry maybe this should be on Brewster town review but i would not have came here if not the ice rink.

Overall nice friendly staff. Very disappointed in the state of the facilities though. The locker rooms stink of stale urine, basically have to hold your breath the whole time getting ready. Sad to see a rink with so much potential being such poorly managed

Lying and unprofessional pro shop. Not once did the guy behind the counter tell me there was a right or left handed hockey stick after telling me about every other aspect of the 140 dollar hockey stick I bought there for my 9 year old. The next day she came off the ice crying because it was a left hand stick and she is a righty. I went into the shop with the receipt and the same kid said there are no returns and to come back Monday afternooon when Dave, the Pro shop Mananger would be there. Well Dave wasnt there and he never returned my messages or emails a week later. We even reached out to Steve, one of the owners who never answered us either. Im just beyond disappointed. This is no way to treat kids or families that are new to a sport.

Place is a complete dump. Absolutely zero cleaning staff. Ice is garbage, can't see the lines or face off dots. The owner should be absolutely ashamed of himself, he clearly puts ZERO money into this building. Oh and DONT eat upstairs unless you want food poisoning . Place is a complete disaster.

Many rinks to skate on depending on occasion such as birthday parties, open skating, rink rental. Clean. Pro shop on premises to buy from or have your own skates sharpened. Reasonable rates for open skating. You HAVE option of figure skates or HOCKEY, but have to ASK.. Your skate size is a size or 2 LESS than your shoe size.

Two stars are for the incredible instructors and coaches. But the facility needs serious help -- The bathrooms are dirty and non-functional, the entire outdoor and indoor space needs a facelift, or at the very least daily cleaning, it's so grimy. Even the doors don't all work correctly. So sad because my daughter loves her instructor!

To start off this review of the worst rink on the east coast, when we first got there we were moved locker rooms 3 times because they messed up. This gave us less time to get our kids ready. While they where getting ready in their extremely short time frame a rink staff member walked in to the locker room, our kids explained loudly that they are YOUTH hockey team and people where in the process of getting changed and where in bare minimal cloths. The rink staff were yelling at the kids because the music was too loud. The person stood there for close to a minute while keeping the door wide open and leaving my sweet babies vulnerable. After this our teamed explained this to rink staff and they shut the door on our faces. I would never play a game here again at the worst rink ever.

Iβve waited over 2 years for things to change at BIA before writing this.
Itβs unfortunate because this place has great potential. Every inch is filthy.
The bathrooms upstairs and downstairs are always horrendous.
The pre-teen staff in the main office is unaware of anything at all, they can never help you with even the simplest of questions and are not knowledgeable in answering any team inquiry of any magnitude.
There is rarely an adult even present. How is that safe or okay?
This facility has no ice packs for injuries. They give you freezer burned βiceβ in a paper towel (if you are lucky enough to locate a staff member) if there is an injury. No one wears a BIA employee shirt, or name tag.
The βiceβ upstairs is, and always has been *absolute trash*. The edges are uneven and itβs rarely cleaned. There are not even color lines cut into it to teach the students how to actually PLAY hockey according to the rules.
The parking is awful. The actual parking spaces are not wide enough.
Players (and drivers of players) seem to think the handicapped spots are their own personal drop off/pickup spaces, which is just wonderful for the ACTUAL handicapped spectators who have to sit there, blocking traffic to wait for their designated space to free up.
The metal bleachers downstairs have not been cleaned in ages. They are all sticky.
And if you managed to look past all of that, the head coaching staff absolutely does not care at all about the careless way the teams are run and scheduled.
Unless itβs their main travel team, please do not expect any type of professionalism or quality leadership.
They take your money and that is all they care about.
Several of the kids coaches are phenomenal, so this is not about them. The younger coaches and the paying students deserve to have the equipment they need to PROPERLY learn, teach and succeed. This place does not to seem to have one ounce of maintenance and itβs really disappointing for the kids and coaches β to have to βjust manageβ with zero tools on hand for success after paying so much money.

Awesome place. Nice ice. Plenty of cool things to buy in the pro shop. It was VERY crowded during the Friday public skate. Some teenagers skating dangerously fast as they weaved in and out, between families and novice skaters. They almost ran over my then 4 year old son twice. Other than that, it was awesome..

Hockey here is the worst of worst. Marvin Minkler was arrested for hitting children (google it), everyone is terrified of him, the rest of the coaches are dads who only care about their own kids. And they turn a blind eye to bullying and abusive behavior between kids - fist fights and trash talk common even among mites ages. Ice is terrible, building is dirty, and no attention to safety.

This place is a mess -- literally and metaphorically -- and I'm so glad I've moved on to better places to both skate and work out. Highly recommend. We had a fantastic time. I had my sonβs 6th birthday party here on 1/23/22. We had 16 kids and 20+ parents. We opted for the public skating session instead of paying more for a private ice rink, and we reserved two tables in the main lobby area. Alex was our event coordinator, helping with the tables, setting and cleaning up, food, directing guests to our table and guiding them to where they need to get their rentals. She was great and make the experience significantly easier.

This place is an embarrassment! Traveled to play a game there Saturday night, Zamboni got stuck in the middle of the ice just spinning its tires until he ruined the ice. Refs had to cancel game! The bathrooms were a complete and absolute disaster. The owner needs to show some pride and at minimum clean the bathrooms. I feel very sorry for the couple who had the wedding reception that night. You should give them their money back. Very poorly run business...

****UPDATE******
Things have gotten much better with the office staff at the rink! Everyone seems like be enjoying their jobs and smiling more. There are updated rate postings and communication seems to be smoother. There's a few employees who we have recently meet who a really stand out, (Simone being one of them). There seems to be some confusion with scheduling but it happens from time to time.
Summer 2021 - 1 Start Review for office NOT coaches!!!
I am shocked at the way my sitter got treated today when bringing my son for a lesson. The girl at the counter was extremely rude to my sitter because she had no idea about the $15 ice rink fee. And to be clear, it was my mistake. I should have sent her with the money. I just didn't think of it trying to get three kids ready for the day and myself ready for work. BUT... I have been doing lessons for years now and didn't realize you had to pay the rink first. (I assumed the coaches set up their fee with the rink individually. I hope these coaches trying to make a living don't get charged again because that seems like it would be double dipping to me. And to be honest I just now realized, new letter size "printed noticesβ have been posted on the doors.) Anyway, all I had to do was call and pay over the phone, so I did. Well I gave her some feedback about her customer service, and she started arguing with me. Either Iβm getting old by saying the younger generation just has no manners or itβs the truth.

Best hockey programs around and the new sheets outside are really a game changer. This place is nostalgia city but man oh man does it need an upgrade. Not sure where all the money goes but if youβre looking for cleanliness and a state of the art facility, this is not it.
Ownership needs to have a revamp of the whole place and then it really will be on the best youth hockey facilities in the Tri-State and New England area.

Fun, but stressful. Masks are mandated, yet there was a family (father 2+ kids) WITH NO MASKS on the ice rink.... The sad part is the staff (young college/highschool kids) clearly do not care. Overall stressful experience and it took the staff some time to even address the family to wear a mask. The owners really need to be cautious because it seems like their own staff doesnt even care of the state regulations. Again, just wanted to come and have a nice time, but became stressful and not very safe.

Terrible. OVERCROWDED public skating session! Especially during covid!! NO ONE SOCIAL DISTANCING. Disgraceful. People allowed to skate (and speed skate) which ever way they want and the teen skate attendants just skate around and talk to each other and do nothing. Felt just exactly the SAME capacity allowed as every other usual public skating session in the past weβve been to here. Disappointed at the people taking down their masks and sitting right next to you on the side benches and no one is saying anything. We practically ran out of there so uncomfortable after about 45 min. Instead of the 2 hr allotted time we paid for. We will NOT return. Kids (tweens) were truly unhappy and left before I even got out the door!
