I’ve been part of Brooklyn DanceSport Club for about 13 years now, and I can confidently say there is no other studio like it. The environment strikes the perfect balance between high-level competitive training and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a place where students of all levels are encouraged, challenged, and truly cared for.

The owners, Eugene and Maria, were among the top Latin dancers of their generation, and it shows in every detail of the studio. Their knowledge, passion, and dedication are unmatched—and knowing you’re learning from the best in the world is incredibly motivating. What makes them even more special is how much they prioritize their students. Whether it’s a showcase, competition, or camp, they’re always thinking of how to elevate the experience for everyone involved.

It’s truly been an honor to be part of this studio for so many years, and I’m beyond grateful for everything Brooklyn DanceSport Club has brought into my life—on and off the dance floor.

My wife and I have been studying there for five years now. Our dance teacher Liliya is simply amazing. We’ve been going out dancing all the time now. In clubs, restaurants, and weddings. It became an essential part of our married life (28 years now) . Strongly recommend couples do that.

Brooklyn Dancesport Club- The LA Edition is the dance studio I've been looking for during my whole dance career. It is THE gold star of ballroom dance studios with a huge, seamless, cushioned wood floor, lots of areas to stretch and warmup, an amazing sound system, lots of mirrors, and some of the best coaches in the US (and perhaps the world). Competitive dancers, social dancers, new dancers, intermediate dancers, whatever level you are, you've found your new dance home! The space is in a converted warehouse so when you dance there, it feels like you have infinite space and freedom to fill with your movement. This dance studio is created by dancers for dancers. Also there's a smaller room that can be rented out for private shoots, workshops, lectures by the hour, and the events don't have to be dance related (yoga, meditation, etc.). Parking is free and easy (so rare in LA!).

I've tried a few places in and around NYC and I have to say that hands down Brooklyn DanceSport has been the best instruction I've gotten. It only took a handful of lessons for me to see and feel a marked difference in my dancing and the best part is I feel like my coach is actually invested in me getting better. It's a bit of a trek if you live in the city—there's no denying that—but it's honestly worth every minute you spend in transit (just make sure you pack a good book for the train).

They more interesting only in your money than giving something to kids. Old woman from a reception all time ask you about payment even before saying hello. After that Firstly they don't have normal change rooms. Secondly on floor so many couples , each try to listen separate music that make as a result a mess. Also very hard to find parking in this area.

What can I say? I can't rave enough about my experience at the studio. I love it there. Prior to becoming a member I had taken a few lessons here and there with Eugene & Marie. Let's just say they both are geniuses and I consider them the best of the best in the business. I decided to try out the Tuesday seminar class and I was not disappointed. It is absolutely challenging but very informative. Even more I felt I was being taught not just about technique but music in general. After spending some time there, it was a no brainer that I should become a member. Indeed I made the jump a couple of months ago and I felt very welcomed especially since I am a ProAM competitor. I am mesmerized by the beautiful artistry and techniques of all the dancers there. The energy is such that one cannot help but feed off of it. In the past few months since I have become a regular there, I have already felt the changes in terms of my ability to balance better, develop a keener sense of awareness of my body as it moves through space. I am also listening to music differently and am actually hearing the music and what I am dancing to. My friends are telling me they have seen improvements. In competitions, I am feeling more confident, dancing more solidly, and producing better results. What else can I say but express how lucky I feel to be part of this club!!!!!!

My son went to college for dance in nyc. He encountered the owners Eugene and Maria before Brooklyn DanceSport Club was officially a studio. He was a member of the club since its inception and learned a great deal about dancing throughout his time there. I follow them on social media and at the competitions. They are a unique school for dance that is difficult to compare and compete with.

My brother is a dancer and often goes to run throughs at BDSC. He speaks very highly of Eugene and Maria and loves going there to dance. The competitive environment is very motivational for dancers and pushes competitors to work harder and reach their full potential.

My friend who was a dance major in NYC kept raving about this school. He has been training there since he moved to NYC. I saw him compete at a competition and he was really amazing. Half the couples in the final were from Brooklyn DanceSport Club. Im not a dancer, but the most serious competitors train there. I came to watch their practice night once and it was so cool!

I know many competitors that go to the dance studio and it's an amazing dance school for kids in the USA. All of the instructors are great teachers and really care about their student. Lastly the rounds are amazing and the best in NYC!
