Buffalo MultiFit in Athol Springs is one of those “if you know, you know” places that you honestly might drive past a hundred times without realizing what’s inside. From the road, it looks like a straightforward open gym. But if you’re even remotely curious, do yourself a favor: pull in, open the door, and actually step inside.
I’m glad I did.
All three of my boys are now training there with the new strength coach at St. Francis, Seth Wiedl, and that alone is a game-changer. Seth isn’t just another “trainer with a whistle” – his entire life has been dedicated to building strength, mobility, and true athleticism. He’s spent years coaching everyone from serious athletes to people in their 40s, 50s, and beyond who just want to move better, feel younger, and extend the quality of their lives, not just the length of them.
You can feel that experience and intentionality the second you watch him work. He doesn’t run cookie-cutter workouts. He reads the room, understands each athlete’s or client’s body, and builds from there – strength, agility, mobility, injury prevention, all of it. The fact that he’s back in WNY to help care for his aging parents is a win for his family, but the benefit to this community is massive. It’s rare to find someone who can train high school athletes to peak performance and also design smart, sustainable programs for adults who just want to feel ten years younger and move without pain.
As for the facility itself – Buffalo MultiFit is spotless. The space is super clean, well laid out, and the equipment is either brand new or very close to it. It’s set up in a way that works for:
• Small groups and team training
• Individual workouts
• One-on-one personal training sessions
There’s room to move, breathe, and actually train without feeling like you’re on top of people. And as someone who’s been around a lot of gyms, I’ll say this: the “best” gym is always the one you feel comfortable walking into consistently. MultiFit nails that. It’s welcoming, not intimidating. Serious enough for real training, but not so hardcore that a beginner 40+ client would feel out of place.
Then there’s the part I absolutely did not expect.
As I wandered toward the back, I opened a door and suddenly felt like I’d stepped into a completely different venue: a brand new bar and golf simulator lounge. This is not some DIY mat-and-a-net situation in a garage. This is a legit, purpose-built, high-end simulator setup with two full golfing bays that you can easily build an afternoon, evening, or even a league around.
The design, finishes, and overall feel are top notch. It’s the kind of space where you can:
• Bring a foursome and play a full “round” together
• Set up a regular weekly league with friends
• Host a small event, outing, or team night
• Escape the winter without getting on a plane
And the pricing is surprisingly accessible. When you break it down, for a foursome it works out to about $15 an hour per person – which, for the quality of the experience and the environment, is an absolute steal.
The bar staff and the people already using the space were incredibly welcoming. They immediately made me feel like I belonged there, even as a first-timer poking my head in to see what was going on. The conversation flowed easily, the vibe was relaxed and friendly, and you get that sense that this is going to become a regular hangout spot for a lot of locals once word gets out.
If you live in the Southtowns, love golf, and are sick of being frozen out half the year, this place might genuinely be your saving grace. You can get your swings in, stay sharp, socialize, and scratch that golf itch all year long without having to chase warm weather or book a flight.
Buffalo MultiFit in Athol Springs is absolutely worth the stop. Don’t just drive by and wonder what’s inside – pull in and walk through the door. You’ll be glad you did.

I had a knee replacement 8 months ago and was worried about the impact on my golf game. I went on the Titelist Performance Institute website to look for a certified TPI trainer and I found Carrie at Buffalo Multifit
This has been a game changer in my golf game as well as my overall health and fitness.
After a round of golf I would be soar and done for the rest of the day. After my first few weeks of training with Carrie weekly, I can’t believe how good I feel after a round of golf Never mind the extra 15 - 20 yards on my driver.
This is the best investment in my game and health I have made. If you are looking to invest in yourself I cannot say enough about Carrie and Buffalo Multifit. It’s the only place to go !

I started back up with Pilates reformer classes in January to improve my core strength and posture. I row during the summer months and erg in the winter. Prior to reformer class, my best stroke rate on the erg was 30-34. After 4 months of attending Pilates, my stroke rate is now 44-48. This huge improvement is a direct result of Pilates at Buffalo Multifit! Thank you Carrie and Christie for always having a kick butt class and pushing me to excel!

Carrie is unbelievable!! I started the TPI program with her a few months ago. It has since done a lot for my lower back pain and hip mobility to really attack my shots as I should on the golf course. My core strength and overall well being has improved a ton with Carrie's help. Plus she's a lot of fun to work with and my workouts are a blast!
Any golfer out there looking to improve their game, I would highly recommend looking into this program with Carrie. Or, keep that HIGH handicap...
UPDATE:
After going through a whole golf season around Buffalo, I can tell you that the work that I put in with Carrie and the TPI program made significant strides in my golf game! I went from a 16.7 handicap down to a 13.9 and consistently shot in the 80’s.
Having a solid core and strength to have the confidence in each swing had me in a comfortable mindset to keep on top of my game each round. Carrie and I have already talked about my goals for next year and have a great offseason plan in place to continue my journey to single digit handicap. She’s been a blast to work with and certainly pushes me in my workouts to get better. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TPI! (and Carrie)

The Titliest training by Caroline is off the charts ! The sessions improve my flexibility, core strength, explosion and balance all important to golf swing especially for senior men like me! I have had amazing results at Buffalo multifit. I started one year ago with Carrie and have lost over 70lbs. She has helped me gain confidence in the gym and pushed me out of my comfort zone. There are a variety of classes, but I enjoy the boot camp and spin. I also enjoy her nutrition suggestions and available options of performance products . The shakes are delicious too! If you’re looking for personal attention you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome Trainers, Classes and Nutritional Products!!!!!
I am 58 years old and have struggled throughout my adult life with trying to become physically fit. Because of this I have worked with many different trainers over the years and the trainers at Buffalo Multifit absolutely rock!!! They are very knowledgeable and are there to not only encourage you but to keep you accountable for your health and fitness goals! The classes offered at Buffalo Multifit are perfect for anyone. The classes are small and fun! Even though I still have a ways to go in order to achieve my fitness goals I feel very comfortable participating in them. Because the classes are small the instructors are able to adjust the workouts based on your individual age and fitness level. They are always aware of any limitations you have and make adjustments for you without making you feel inferior. The entire staff is so encouraging!!!!
The Reload Nutritional products are fantastic! I have been using many of them for several months now.
The BCAA/EAA has greatly helped improve my endurance. As an added bonus my hair and nails are definitely healthier! I also love the Pink Lemonade flavor!
I use the Pre-workout before every personal training session and class. It definitely makes a difference in my endurance and how well I perform. I forgot to take it once before my spin class and could tell what an asset it is to my training.
I have the Greens and Protein powder almost daily. They both taste great and are so good for you. All of the products are natural with nothing artificial.
I have tried other brands over the years and can honestly say the taste and quality of the Reload products are second to none!!!! I love Buffalo Multifit and Reload Nutritional products!!!!

I am a physical therapist and have moved out of the area. I was looking to purchase personal training for my father, and decided to go with Buffalo MultiFit. The trainers here have been fantastic, working with him to meet his goals in a safe and effective way. He is very happy with the results.

I began training here in June 2019 to strengthen my body for carrying my son. All throughout my pregnancy, as I worked with Carrie and her team, there was so much progress and attention to detail in order to keep my baby and I safe. My OB couldn't believe what good shape I was in, especially since I am a good 10 years older than most new moms. When the pandemic struck I was so thankful for those workouts as a lot of the help we were counting on from relatives after my son was born wasn't going to happen. Carrying around a colicky 9 lb-er after a C-section is no easy task.
After many sleepless and worrisome nights post partum, things settled at home and in the world around us. Carrie checked up on me and we began workouts again. She built me back up, worked with my husband and I through all the schedule and location changes that we requested, and to this day works with both of us through Zoom. She treats us with the utmost respect and strongly values us as her clients. I've tried online workouts, TV workouts, self-guided workouts too; but having someone train you one-on-one pays such dividends and teaming with BMF is the best choice I could have made for me and my family.
Update July 2022:
I've had the pleasure of training with Charles for the last year. He is super-knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and fun! I've seen strength gains that I've never achieved before, and I'm coming back for more! Thank you, Charles and Carrie!

Have been going to Buffalo MultiFit for 10 months and it’s been one of the best choices I’ve ever made. 2nd time going back to train cuz I saw such good results before. After 1st baby I needed to lower run time and get core muscles back. I have been a member of Buffalo MultiFit for 9 years. Where do I start? The gym is always immaculate, the trainers are amazing, and it is a private facility! Even with the pandemic going on, I have always felt comfortable and safe exercising at Buffalo MultiFit. One of the things that I love most is stretching with Carrie. I have issues with my hips and stretching helps me continue to have productive workouts. Since becoming a member I have not only met but have exceeded my fitness goals. I cannot begin to say how GRATEFUL I am to have found Buffalo Multifit! I've been going for a month now and this is the best gym I have ever been to hands down - perfect fit for me. The staff is incredible - knowledgeable and welcoming. Not once have I ever felt unwelcomed or judged. The owner Carrie is amazing, you can see how dedicated she is to her business and clientele. I've also been going to their Spin classes and they are a MUST GO TO! Bike Burn with Christine and CycleFit with Cal will get your blood pumping and those endorphins flowing!!!! They also offer meal prepped food you can order weekly and they are DELICIOUS! Trust me, this is the gym you want to be at ;)

Buffalo Multifit is by far the best gym I have ever belonged to. The trainers are dedicated, knowledgeable, and make working out fun. I've been to other trainers in the wny area and they can't compare. Soo many other places just give you a one size fits all approach, not Bmf. Kris is an exceptional trainer, every workout I come in for he makes me want to push all that much harder to reach my goals. I LOVE being a member of Buffalo MultiFit!!! I take group classes (with AMAZING music!), like Bike Burn and CycleFit, as well as train with Kris and Carrie. Being a teacher, I like the fact that going to Buffalo MultiFit is one less thing that I have to plan! Kris takes the guesswork out of my workouts (without him I don't know what I'm doing!!!) and designs my personal training sessions to fit my needs. I have been a client for over 3 years; I participate in personal training, group classes, and customer appreciation gatherings. The gym owner (Coach) is a high energy, thoughtful, motivating trainer/entrepreneur that pours her positive attitude into her business and every person who is fortunate enough to belong to this facility. Through Coach’s guidance over the years, my personal health is at an all-time high. A few aspects of my life that have changed because of Buffalo Multi-Fit include better stamina for cycling, I can jog 5 miles (without stopping), my core strength is great and in general I do not have any aches or pains because my fitness level is so high. I consider myself a recreational athlete and because I have a well-planned fitness regimen, I have the ability to participate in my first ever mini-triathlon. I have been a member of Buffalo MultiFit for over a year and a half and couldn’t be happier. I do personal training with Carrie and she is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. Her focus is on form and she explains what you are doing and why. I have been a member of numerous gyms and I found that Buffalo MultiFit really caters to your individual needs. Every time I come in I am doing something new and challenging.
In addition to personal training I do the reformer classes with BJ. The reformer classes are amazing! I am able to focus on my overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
I also take spin, which is great because classes are small and the instructors are able to focus on your strengths and weakness. You are not just a number. I am more tone, have more energy and healthy thanks to Carrier and Buffalo MultiFit. The protein shakes at the end of a workout are a must too!
