Ymca started out as an affordable place for people in the city to get exercise. Sadly, it now seems that everywhere in the capital district has a huge facility except for albany. While we pay the same price (over 100 dollars a month for two people), we get a facility nowhere near that of the other gyms in the group. Just a handful of people and the place is over full and the equipment is limited. I'm giving 3 stars because your staff is wonderful and helpful. I'm just disappointed that we weren't worth a full gym like the one we had that you closed.

Small, I mean really small gym with very limited number of equipment compared to most regular gyms. However, this limitation is made up quite some by the quality and good selection of the machines, cleanness environment and friendly staff. Plus, a small gym usually attracts a small number of people giving you quiet workout time and liberal access of the equipment.

I’m so happy that they did the YMCA in Albany is very convenient for me. Walking distance the only reason why am only given at four stars is because they only stay late four days a week and Friday they close around seven it would be nice if they can stay open a little bit later what is around nine but other than that I love the gym I’ve been going to the YMCA since I was a little kid

It’s nice to have a gym that’s really close to where we live. Although it is small, it has everything I need to work out. If there is anything I need that isn’t at this gym, it’s nice to know that I can always go to another YMCA branch that’s 15-20min away that will have everything I need. For example, the Bethlehem branch has an ice rink and swimming pool. Having a YMCA membership is also great in that you will have access to all YMCAs anywhere in the country.

It’s clean…new equipment with confusing layout that doesn’t allow (or hides very well) the option for a freeform workout, restricting you to endure a class that you can’t listen to if you don’t have headphones? The windows and location are great, but with zero tint leave you with the eerie feeling of prey as the pedestrians in lower albany gaze into your soul as you struggle to comprehend the magnetic (air pressure? i don’t know!!) machines. Lotta promise, hope they smooth out the kinks because I would love a gym in the area

Small gym, expensive for what you get. Guy at the front desk sucks too. He explained we couldn’t do a free trial. What kind of a gym doesn’t allow that. Don’t go here, much better gyms in the area.
