Fitness area is probably 50x50 equipment is obsolete. They have "training" classes and "reserve" some of the only equipment removing it from other members. Old men walk around completely naked in locker room with little children around. For nearly $100 a month..

Really love being able to workout and have childcare provided. Gym is small so it can get busy but definitely adequate!

Front end staff are great, equipment and facilities are outdated compared to neighboring Y’s.
*Parking lot is inadequate- 2 cars can’t fit driving by each other due to poor plowing and cars parked sticking out, so people had to reverse all the way through the lot to let cars drive by.
Definitely not safe with the amount of kids walking around.

Awful music in the gym almost constantly. One of ladies in the gym area will literally mop around you while you exercise. 1/10

Took my grandsons for open swim today. I was so impressed with the young life guards. They were attentive and watched for everything.
The kiddie pool had a good amount of kids and the young gentleman lifeguard stood right by the pool. Someone trained them right!

This new phone system, makes it impossible to call any of the facilities.. with different programs going on I'd like to know what areas are open being that I have a family plan.. If pool or gym are open both are valid reasons to call before I drive.. well the phones ring once followed by silence or an automated voice telling you about everything but no connection to staff at desired facility I think it's terrible and needs to be fixed.. my kids learned to swim at the Y now they can barely get in with the Soo many limits on time allowed for Members who want to swim

If you want to be able to work out while your kids play in the gym or the pool, think again. They are not allowed without parents in any room, and the Glenville branch does not provide daycare during all open pool/gym hours except between hours. Only between 4:30-6:30 on weekdays for infants to 5 year olds… nothing on weekends. Don’t advertise as a “family GYM” when parents can’t actually exercise while their kids are doing activities. What do single parents do? They can’t workout and watch their kids at the same time. Do better or don’t even offer and make people pay for a family plan.

Excellent customer service and "small town" atmosphere. Even though the facility is a bit older they do a nice job making you feel at home and making sure classes and programs run smoothly. Lots of options for preschool age children during the day, after work, and weekends. Kiddie pool is awesome for the little ones to play in, especially when it is cold outside. Aquatics team is top notch! They have a babysitting room that you can sign your kids up for while you work out as well. Check it out if you haven't already!

I like this Glenville YMCA. They have three indoor swimming pools, a regular swimming pool where you can go lap swimming, a small kiddie swimming pool and a heated swimming pool. They have a gym, and a exercise room. I came here November 6, with my friend Nelson. I see this YMCA closes early on Saturdays at 2 pm

Convenient facility that is a little outdated. The pool is nice and the weight room was recently updated.

Smells musty and needs to be updated. When they host camp there the place is over run with kids everywhere. This upsetting when I pay for a membership. People dont adhere to the diaper policy in the pool I saw a boy pee while standing in the kid pool and the lifeguard didn't seem to care.

Not a bad YMCA. The pool in the locker rooms were very clean however the women’s locker room does not have a door closing to the outside hallways also the locker rooms don’t walk directly into the pool area which is why it doesn’t get 5 stars

I have been a member of the Droms Rd. YMCA for many years. Both of my children went to summer camp from the age of five up until thier teen years as counselors and have always enjoyed thier time there. The capital improvements at the Y have been great, especially the wellness center and locker/shower room. Everyone there is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It is very obvious that Donna the director has built and retained a great team to make this a GEM of a place that is fun to go to.

We have been members for a few years but it's often hard to use the facilities as a member since they seem to make most of their money by scheduling other events and classes and thus open times for the gym, pool etc are quite limited. So as a member what are we paying for? You go there and find that some class or event is going on and you can't even use the place you are a member of. Last week I was told there was open gym and when we got there found out it was actually only half open gym(volleyball on other side- again another class)and with the 8 or so boys already using the court, not enough room for us and we ended up just leaving. It's just not right. And you don't really save that much as a member compared to a non-member if you take classes or lessons. The workout gym is pretty small here too. The trails in back are nice and the playground is ok for the kids, but doesn't make up for the other issues. A few weeks back, someone had thrown-up in the bathroom and when I told the front desk person, she said for me to basically find the custodian myself and let him know. Really? Unfortunately, it seems the y today is more about the $$ than it's members. If you need a place just to workout, there are a lot better and cheaper options. We cancelled before and resigned due to a veterans discount, but it still doesn't seem a good value imho. Pretty sad.

When is the glenville YMCA going to hold classes in the evening earlier than 545?? I live 5 minutes away and have to travel to Clifton park to attend a 4:00 class! Open gym for 6.5 hours is a bit much! Strongly recommend a 4 :00 class M-W-F (total body workout, tabata, body sculpt) Look forward to your positive response.
