My now 9 year old started when he was 5 at CMA Wantagh. We started him there because Master Frank had a reputation of working well with all different types of children and their learning styles. My son had transitioning issues, which he has since grown out of, and part of that was due to the instruction at CMA. Discipline, organization and, of course, fun, were large reasons why this program is so great!

Since enrolling my son 3 years ago he has since worked hard to become a more advanced belt. He is now 9 and is working toward his 2nd degree black belt. Now my daughter is 6 years old and is enrolled and motivated to continue and become a black belt like her brother. Master Frank is an amazing teacher. Both my boys (9&6)love CMA of Wantagh. My 9yo has been going for over four years. They have gone above and beyond with their safe practices due to Covid. My daughter who was 3 going on 4 started the class. She enjoyed it until thanksThanks weekend when she fell and got hurt badly. Couldn't do any avtiacties for 3 months. When she was finally able to go back she was scared of getting hurt and refused to go back to class. We had over 6 months remaonrem and Frank the owner has refused to refund me. Not even offer a credit just in case she would ever change her mind. THIS IS JUST BAD BUSINESS!!!!

First off, my entire family practices Taekwondo at Champions in Wantagh, so I can speak both as a parent of a students and as a student myself. From the parental perspective, the Little Tigers program is great at teaching kids basic techniques as well as fostering their self-confidence and teaching them the importance of respect in a friendly environment. One of my children has transitioned from Little Tigers to normal classes, and I am very pleased with the increased focus on technique as well as the opportunities to learn weapons and to spar (but without a push to spar; if you child doesn't want to spar they don't have to such as is the case with my child).

As an adult student, I thoroughly enjoy the classes. This is my third martial art, the only one I've stuck with. After a little over a year of training, I've regained quite a bit of my lost flexibility, am probably the strongest I've ever been in my entire life and have dropped both weight and pants sizes.

The staff are fantastically supportive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Both Master Sooin and Master Frank are excellent, compassionate teachers who still command respect and discipline when they need to. We also get the opportunity to study with talented interim masters from Korea, who so far have all been amazing to work with and learn from.

I think the best part of the Wantagh location specifically is the community the masters have sought to build; all the parents, students, children, staff, and masters operate as one big family. It makes for an awesomely positive experience for all who are a part of it.

Both of my sons (4 and 7) recently started at champion’s tae kwon do. The confidence and respect that ties into each lesson has been such a positive experience. Rather than focus on competition the lessons teach the children how to support one another. For example, students are not allowed to pass one another when running laps for warmups. We look forward to see both of our boys continue to grow.

Master Frank and his staff ( instructor Anthony and others ) run an exemplary operation at Champion's Taekwondo of Wantagh.

Neither my son Raymond, nor my daughter Madison were very much into sports and we struggled to find a physical activity that both would enjoy.

We took a shot with a trial and my kids were hooked immediately after the first class.

Master Frank has created an environment that is equal part fun and hard work and they continue to build self esteem and confidence within both of my children.

The classes are structured where the children quickly catch on, they learn Korean commands, basic form of punching, kicking and blocking as well as physical fitness drills which somehow work the children very hard but with a smile on their face.

Master Frank's lesson span well beyond TaeKwondo class into everyday life, stressing the importance of helping those in need, listening to parents, performing well in school and handling challenging situations including stranger danger.

I am beyond impressed with the school and what it has done for my children and for once in our lives, there is no struggle getting the kids in the car and off to an extracurricular activity... we just say "its time for TKD and the kids are dressed and in the car.

My son is currently working on his black belt at UCTA, Wantagh and I kickbox 3-4 times a week there. We both love it there. Master Frank, his Staff and all the helpers are amazing. In September, we were looking for a new activity for our oldest son who just started kindergarten. A number of our friends kids were doing Taekwondo at Champion's so we decided to check it out. Our youngest son joined a month after our oldest started classes. It has had a positive impact on our boys lives, as has honed in on valuable life skills such as discipline, focus, respect, all while instilling confidence, having fun and getting fit! The instructors really get to know the kids and help them succeed every step of the way. They also have some great adult classes.
