Iβve tried so many big box gyms or random workout programs online with little success. I would start out motivated and consistent but then fizzle out after a few weeks.
Starting at the CA was such a game changer for me! The coaches listened to my goals, and designed workout programs to fit me. After seeing improvement in my cardio endurance and overall strength, I was hooked!
Thanks Dave, Ian, Ethan and Coo for all the fun/challenging workouts and for all the support! The gym has been such a welcoming place and I cant imagine a better place to workout!

UPDATE 9/25
In 9 months I went from debilitating back pain from friggin swinging a golf club to hitting a 345# deadlift pull! Awesome stuff. Tested this week all my main lifts and hit lifetime PRs for bench, deadlift, and pendelay (not that many people do them). Loving the gains!
UPDATE 6/25
I joined Contemporary Athlete in January after running out of options with regards to my overall health. I was injuring myself practicing golf! I ran into the owner, Dave, at a Christmas party and he said ... Come on in. I went in for a full assessment and decided to pull the trigger. Fast forward 6 months and I am not only healthy but also stronger than I've been in years. Their thoughtful onboarding and build up into a full body functional fitness training program was perfect for me and a perfect fit for the space I wanted to be in. If anyone is looking for a gym that provides the right mix of personal training and a group atmosphere this is the place. Thank you to Coach Coo and Coach Bill for training me early in the morning every day!

CP has been the best gym experience Iβve had. The programs are bespoke, designed specifically for each person. The entire team is helpful without being overbearing. Always providing support and course corrections on form, or giving new ideas to add to routines.
The routines are diverse and yet work the entire body - and no one thing is difficult but cumulatively the results have been awesome.

The Staff at Contemporary Athlete are all very helpful and Taylor the workouts to fit my ability level. I can start by saying Iβve never been good about going to the gym, always burned myself out trying to do too much or have done too little/the same things over to not see results.
After being here a few months (starting from 2 times a week to now almost everyday), Iβm more consistent than I ever have been with the gym. You are only competing against yourself here. After 3 weeks I'm getting better balance and sweating it out! I would recommend them. I started working out at contemporary athlete in December of 2021. In 5 months, I became stronger, more flexible, and found a new passion for lifting weights that Iβve never had before. Both Dave and Ian know what theyβre talking about and put together custom programs that are proven to make you stronger. If you show up and commit - you will see results. Sadly, a knee injury and upcoming surgery (not related to anything done here) has forced me to cancel my membership - but I fully plan on coming back once I recover. Do yourself a favor and visit this place. You wonβt regret it.

I have been a member of CA for 2 years. As one of the oldest members, I arrived with much apprehension about whether I would be able to do the workouts and fit into an environment of mostly younger members. Most importantly, I did not want to get hurt.
Dave and Ian slowly helped me to improve my strength, endurance, balance and generally move better and with greater confidence.
Dave and Ian are always positive and encouraging and patient with my endless questions. They seem to know just how far to push.

Contemporary Athlete is unlike any gym you will go to. Here you immediately feel like part of a family/team where everyone is encouraging you to do your best and with that you are able to push harder and achieve your goals. Every workout is different and very challenging. I joined the CA in February as "pre-training" for a half marathon in September. As a result, when I switched my routine to running at the beginning of July, I am faster, stronger, and mentally tougher than I have ever been.
