Love love love this studio and all the instructors! I’m here multiple times a week and love the classes and community here so much. My only gripe with this studio in particular is the inconsistency of setting the vibe for class. This studio has white/grey ceilings unlike most other CP studios that have black ceilings. This makes the inside studio very bright inside, and when instructors keep the lights high the entire class instead of dimming them and/or using the LED lights it makes the class a good bit less enjoyable because the lighting feels surgical while you’re staring at your moving body in a mirror for an hour. Ruins the zen-vibe corepower tries to go for. The other thing they could do better at is keeping the music at a louder volume for yoga sculpt and choosing music that is better suited for a workout. I’ve noticed a distinct lack of bass, and could use some Beyonce-Gaga-Charli like motivation instead of quiet lyrical music while I’m doing reps and sweating out of every pore! All this being said, some instructors do a great job of this, it’s just inconsistent across the board. Still love this studio and keep coming back nevertheless, just would love to workout in a dark room with loud music instead of super quiet jazz playing in surgical lighting!

I went to this studio a few times circa 2022 and found it uninspired and impersonal, but could see why it might appeal to some. I decided to try it again recently and now I am convinced that corporatized yoga is a bad thing. The instructor not only seemed to be phoning it in, but used passive aggressive, exclusionary language like it was 1984. Between the careless attitude and run down studios, it’s clear that Corepower is too big to maintain any sort of consistent management or real culture. There are several independent studios nearby that invest in their staff and work to create a welcoming space. This is not one of them.

Baba is lying on the prize I won — a CorePower Yoga mat from UES. I earned it two years ago after hitting 27 C2 classes in just one month.

Great community class with Garrett! The space is conveniently close to my apartment and the check in was seamless! Only complaint is it’s a small space for lockers so everyone crowds around but that’s not a deal breaker!

I was on time for a class and they locked the door so you can’t get in. They need more staff in order to support this place and have staff who can stand by the desk for customers. Absolutely ridiculous to charge money for a class and then lock the door for PAYING customers. One of the worst core power studios I have ever been to with extremely rude staff members.

While I enjoyed my class and instructor, I was disappointed in the studio. On first impression, there was an odorous smell upon walking in. Additionally, I took a shower after class and there were little flies everywhere! The studio also watered down the body wash to the point that it was only water. Between the body wash and the flies, I did not feel clean after my shower before heading to work. While there is potential for a great studio, they need to put in more care into the amenities and cleanliness for me to want to return.

Honestly, I had so much faith for this studio, especially since I had visited the ones in San Diego. But one of the staff members is just so completely rude. I didn’t get her name but she’s a brunette with green hazel colored contacts. I was joined with a friend and we were going to try out this class together and her attitude seriously made us cancel our class altogether. I’m not sure if she’s an instructor, but she was one of the ladies upfront. Will not be back due to this interaction. would not recommend.

One of the teachers closed the door to my face in an incredibly spoiled and insulting manner because I was only 1 minute late to class. It is incredibly heart-breaking to be treated in such a manner in a place I've been happily going for 1+ years, apparently it's changed now. It is one thing to not let someone in, another thing to do it in such a disgraceful manner. Will not be going again.

I loved my C2 class with Olivia B! She had the perfect combination of playful flow and challenging postures for a Sunday morning. Everyone seemed friendly and welcoming and the space was very clean. Great, intimate studio!

Can’t say enough good things about this studio. The space is very clean and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend trying the free trial because it really motivated me to pursue a membership there.

I used to go to CPY in Austin pre-pandemic and absolutely loved it. Not sure if things have gone downhill after COVID or if my expectations have just changed over the years (I have really deepened my personal practice since then), but I was so disappointed to try CPY again.

I'm not a big fan of the class styles — in my opinion they are more yoga-inspired fitness than yoga — but my real issue is with the lack of studio etiquette I saw at this location that totally tainted my experience. At the end of a 75 min C2 class, several people got up during savasana to wipe their mats, whisper to each other and exit the room. I think that is SO disrespectful to not only the instructor, but also to everyone else in the room. I could not enjoy the remainder of my meditation after that. People also brought their phones/smart watches into the room with them and were on their devices as class was beginning. Someone's device started chiming in the middle of class. Again, this is so rude IMO and displays a lack of regard for other people as well as the practice itself. I think some basic studio rules would go really far and would elevate the experience to become more meditative/yogic vs. just a workout class.

Overall, this felt like a corporate-washed version of the yoga that I've come to know and love over the years and left me with a bad taste in my mouth... hoping this is not the norm for this studio.

The teaches talk way too much! Doing the poses with the student is unnecessary! Just give clear instructions! The rooms aren’t hot! And the classes aren’t breath to movement! Nothing about this is core or power yoga!

This place is disgusting, dirty, un-accommodating, full of corporate greed, antithetical to yoga at its core, exploitative, and totally overpriced for the little that they offer. Everything about it makes for an unpleasant experience.

I used to be a member for around 6 months and on my last month I had a problem with my credit card, so I paid with another one at the front desk and even having paid for the whole month my membership never got back to normal, so every single time I was taking a class I had to show a screenshot of my bank account transaction to show the front desk I had paid for the whole month. Very unpleasant thing to do when you pay over $200 for a membership.

Make sure you cancel during the trial offering else they will charge you for the monthly membership. Canceling can be a drag with long hold times when calling the call center.
Music too loud to clearly hear the instructor. Randomly charge you for bottles of water which you never use. Can get very crowded in the evenings.

This establishment is horrendous when it comes to cancelling your membership. Firstly, I had no intention of creating a membership, this is apparently sneakily included when you sign up for a free first class trial. When I tried to cancel my membership, I was on hold for an hour at a time, or the call center is often closed when I call during business hours. I spent over $200 to attend one yoga class because I could not cancel my membership. They never responded to my email, and to cancel your membership online, it’s buried in the website. For a yoga studio, this place is incredibly frustrating and anxiety inducing to deal with, feels very money grubbing. I never write bad reviews, but I was extremely displeased with them.

Great in studio instruction and format. CorePower is challenging but makes you want to come back for more. I have practiced yoga for 30 years. But this mixed format of vinyasa flow, weights and cardio is uplifting and my new favorite workout.

Amazing CorePower studio on the UES! My class was in studio 2, which may have been the smaller of the two, but was the perfect size for the Friday evening C2 class. The physical space is beautiful and modern, but most of all— spacious! There is nothing worse than feeling like you are tripping over other people while you try to gather your belongings post-class.
Naturally it is a brand new studio, but the bathrooms and showers are pristine! And in keeping with the theme— spacious.
You get a complimentary lock & key for your locker, all of which are medium sized. But there is also a separate area with hangers for coats (hi, NYC winter 👋🏽).
The class- any easy playful flow, with good music and even better energy. I left feeling absolutely wonderful! (Post class glow, for proof!)
It’s also worth mentioning that this particular studio lies in the “fitness section” of the UES 80’s, so there are lots of post workout refuel spots à la Sweetgreen, Just Salad, Whole Foods, Chipotle, along with the UES Levain bakery, should that be what you need.
All in all, if you are in the area— or even if you are not, this should definitely become a core part of your UES workout rotation. No pun intended!
