It's all in the name! I left class an hour ago and my abs are on fire in a good way. The class is challenging, while being gentle on the joints.

I love the small class size and the personal attention Karisa gave to each student to improve our form and ensure we were getting the most out of our experience. Her music was also great. It was my second class with Karisa and I love that she checked in with me after class and commented on my improvement. I'll definitely be sticking with Karisa as I felt seen and taken care of.

I did take one other teacher and I enjoyed her class, so I'm sure you can't go wrong with any instructor. However, Karisa won me over so if her schedule works with mine, I'll take her class whenever I can.

This studio is incredible. Honestly I have tried a bunch of reformer classes & the attention you receive here is 10/10 There is only 4 people in a class so there is nowhere to hide! I won’t go anywhere else in NYC

This is my favorite Pilates in the city! It’s the perfect combo of workout and hands on instruction without being too intense like some of the other Pilates studios city (like solidcore, which is not my vibe). If you’re looking for a Pilates class that combines alignment and targeted moves I can’t recommend enough!

I've been doing the Spring and Suspend classes for a few months now with different instructors and love them! They are definitely challenging but also beginner friendly since you can always modify the intensity of exercises. The classes are small, easy to book, and the instructors are all very professional and friendly. I like taking Marguerite and Olivia's classes in particular. I've been to both the Williamsburg and Chelsea locations and slightly prefer Chelsea because the studio is more spacious and classes are smaller in my experience. The reformer classes are also excellent but only available through membership and not ClassPass. My one recommendation would be to hand out more wipes after class - sometimes one doesn't feel like enough. Overall would highly recommend!

I love this studio and style of Pilates SO MUCH! I’ve had a few different instructors, as well as the founder herself as an instructor, and they all possess the same level of professionalism. The classes are totally accessible for beginners yet challenging at the same time, so no matter your experience level with Pilates you will be getting a fantastic workout regardless! This is genuinely one of my favorite workout classes I’ve taken in the city.

Took an amazing class with Marina. Was lucky to have the class all to myself on a holiday weekend and really appreciated her comments and corrections. Also love the mix of exercises and movements and the ability to go at my own pace. Prefer this to the more intense unconventional Pilates classes (Bodyrok, solidcore, etc) because it builds on classical and allows me to still focus on form and flow. Will definitely be coming back and can’t wait to try a reformer class!

I’ll just jump right into it. Instructor (Kristen) was pretty late (which is funny bc I’ve read reviews on her being insanely strict on no late policy) and immediately targeted my friend and I bc it was our first time here. Her and I do workout classes everyday and are not new to any type of class at this point so I wasn’t worried. Instructor was sassy from the start questioning if we had grippy socks and signed the waiver (not abnormal but overly not friendly about it) I had both but my friend needed to sign the waiver and she was questioning why it was taking her so long etc. whatever but still kind of weird. Then she says to us in front of the whole class how it’s crazy we signed up for the advanced class for our first class or something along those lines in a condescending way and we both were like oh we didn’t really realize she said “isn’t it crazy how people don’t read the descriptions of things” which is just so unprofessional… overall the whole class she was overly rude even to her regulars which I do not understand how she even has regulars as there’s much better classes around the area. She was very aggressive when giving you corrections which I’m totally fine with as I used to be a ballet dancer and I like being corrected but with the rude vibe and attitude to her it made it worse. She would make comments if you messed something up or someone moved their foot in a plank she said “did I tell you to move your feet?!” She also made a strange transgender joke assuming we were all biological women and then kept going on and on about it when no one laughed. Overall I got a good workout but 1. It definitely wasn’t that advanced where her comment was warranted and 2. Go support somewhere with much nicer staff…

Creative Core has been an awesome find for me - the Pilates classes are high quality, unique (I’ve never done true springboard dedicated classes anywhere else), personalized (shoutout to Kristen who cares deeply about your form and progress), and fun! I’ve been going consistently for 3 months and have been seeing great results already.

If you care about a workout class being a true class to learn and improve and not just an overcrowded overhyped setting, this is the place for you.

I’ve been absolutely loving my experience at this Pilates studio! It’s a smaller, more intimate space divided into two rooms, which gives it a really welcoming and personal vibe. One of the things I appreciate most is the flexibility in the class offerings — whether you’re in the mood for reformer Pilates or prefer mat work, there’s something for everyone.

Kristen, the owner, teaches some of the classes herself and she’s fantastic. She’s outgoing, witty, and brings such great energy to every session. Her form corrections are always spot-on and super helpful — I’ve definitely noticed improvements in my posture and strength thanks to her guidance.

Overall, it’s been such a great place to be part of. I’ve felt really welcomed since day one, and each class leaves me feeling stronger, more balanced, and more confident. So grateful to have found this studio!

I absolutely love Kristen and the Creative Core team so much! It’s a very effective workout that sneaks up on you when you least expect it. This is one of the few workouts in the city where you get individualized attention. I have learned so much from Kristen and look forward to every class! :)

I have been to all pilates studios: Bodyrok, Solicore, Form50 and the no frills Creative Core is easily my favorite. Pilates will only benefit the way it's supposed to if you have correct form and intentional movement and that is exactly what every instructor at this studio pays attention to. I have back and hip issues due to scoliosis and because I'm actually using my core in this class it's helped so much. I highly suggest the semi-privates!

Kristen and her Pilates studio have been life-changing for me! I’ve practiced yoga, pilates, and barre for years, and this studio is a brilliant meshing of everything. After a C-section, I struggled to regain my strength, and Kristen’s expertise and guidance helped me rebuild my core and feel strong again. She has also been instrumental in alleviating my back pain from surgery. Her knowledge and personalized approach make every session so effective. I cannot recommend her and the studio enough—if you’re looking for a supportive, transformative Pilates experience, this is the place to be!

I’ve been to a lot of different Pilates studios, and this one is easily one of my favorites. The instructors are skilled, attentive, and create a really motivating atmosphere. Every class feels intentional, and you can tell they truly care about proper form and making sure clients get the most out of their workout.

The studio is clean, well-organized, and has a great community feel. Everything runs smoothly because they have clear policies in place…grip socks are required for safety and hygiene, which is completely standard in any high-quality Pilates studio. It’s a small detail that actually enhances the experience.

What really stands out here is the energy and professionalism. The staff is welcoming, the classes are challenging but accessible, and I always leave feeling amazing. If you’re looking for a solid workout in a supportive and well-run studio, this is the spot.

I can’t say enough great things about this studio. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how much care and effort has gone into creating a welcoming, professional, and well-run space. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in your progress, making sure everyone gets the most out of their workout while keeping things safe and fun.

The studio policies are clear, fair, and industry standard, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone. The grip sock requirement? Totally understandable and common in Pilates studios for hygiene and safety reasons. The team makes sure first-timers are prepared and have everything they need, and they do their best to accommodate when possible.

If you’re looking for high-quality instruction, an uplifting atmosphere, and a studio that actually cares about your experience, this is the place. I’ve been to a lot of different studios, and this one stands out for its professionalism, cleanliness, and strong community feel. Highly recommend!

This is hands-down, the best Pilates studio I've been to in the city. The spring and suspend class so perfectly combines lifting and Pilates.. it's SO hard (in a good way!!). All the instructors are awesome and each class is different but equally challenging so you never get bored. I have the monthly unlimited spring and suspend membership and I've gotten in such good shape from just going twice a week!! Seriously, everyone should go to this class. I used to lift all the time, but have lower back and knee injuries that prevent me from lifting like I used to, and this class makes me feel as strong as I did when I was lifting. Also Kristen (the business owner and one of the instructors) is hilarious and awesome and her dog is so cute!!

I’m leaving this additional review since I can’t respond directly to my initial one star review. To clarify, I called an hour in advance to let them know I would arrive right on time due to traffic and asked if they would allow me a few extra minutes to enter if needed. At other exercise class locations, this hasn’t been an issue. However, Creative Core informed me they have a strict policy of locking the doors exactly at class time, with no exceptions. I asked if I should keep driving or if they’d allow a slight delay, but they confirmed that even being a minute late would mean I couldn’t join. When I requested they cancel on their end due to the timing, they declined, and I was fined $28 in addition to my class registration fee.

In response to my review, they implied that I had been aware of the policy and suggested I asked to be checked in without attending, which isn’t accurate. My only request was to know if I could still enter with a POTENTIAL minor delay (1-5 minute max if even), given the situation. Additionally, their reply suggested that booking through ClassPass might mean different treatment compared to direct clients, which didn’t feel supportive.

Every one-star review here receives the same dismissive, critical response with no apology or ounce of self reflection/understanding—only criticism toward the person leaving feedback. I reported this experience to ClassPass, who reimbursed my fee and noted that this wasn’t their first complaint about this company. Especially since this was my first class with Creative Core, I was hoping for a bit more flexibility or understanding, especially since I called in advance. The response to my feedback didn’t address my main concern and emphazised what I felt when leaving my first review. That a positive client experience is not a priority.

I called an hour in advance to let them know that I had run into some traffic and it said that I was going to arrive right on time. I work out every morning and this has happened a few times before at other places I’ve used through classPass. They usually tell me that there’s no problem but creative core told me that they would be closing the doors and I had to get there on time. I explained that I was originally going to be early and wanted to know if I should keep driving or if they would let me in. They told me that if I was late at all they would not let me in and I asked them to cancel on their end which is something you can do if you work with ClassPass and they won’t do that so I was fined $28. $28 after I had already paid to register for the class. So pissed DO NOT go here. They don’t care about their clients.

The absolute best Pilates studio in Brooklyn!!

I’ve been taking Pilates for years and wether you’re a beginner or advanced this studio is by far one of the best. Kristen and her staff are so knowledgeable and accommodating to all levels, injuries, and goals, and make the class challenging and fun every time. The small class size allows them to really personalize it and helps foster a community amongst members.

For the reviews mentioning grip socks, nearly every Pilates/Barre studio requires them to help keep us safe while using equipment and the studio clean! Please don’t take out a very common rule on these instructors and a small business!

I started my pilates journey in February 2023 with no idea what I was doing. Kristen and her talented crew of instructors really helped me get a solid foundation through private lessons for the first two months until I was ready for the semi-private classes, which are challenging but in the best ways.

I have been doing these classes ever since & I will keep doing them as long as Kristen keeps Creative Core going! It has been such a rewarding experience, and I am so grateful to Kristen and everyone at CCWburg!

RE: the grip sock reviews -- anyone who leaves a one star review on a(n amazing) small business because they don't understand the basic/common rules of a pilates class says more about them than the business they are reviewing. Honestly, I had an awful experience with Kristen, and undoubtedly I will never be returning to this studio again. From the moment i walked in the door (2 minutes early), Kristen was EXTREMELY rude to me; so much so it felt like she had a personal issue with me, even though it was my first time in the building and we had never met. Half boutique pilates studio, half sales scam to sell booties. Don't try to take mat pilates here unless you want to shell out $16 additional dollars for barre socks. This is seemingly the only pilates studio in the neighborhood who addresses the "liability" of wearing your own clothes by gouging you on apparel.

Pro tip - the "liability" is what you sign a waiver for.

Response to owner - first and foremost, don't share private enrollment information about people online to attempt to shame them, and don't spread slander by saying I was disrespectful to your worker, which I was not.

Regarding ClassPass as you so kindly revealed me to be from, I had to open the full class listing, then scroll all the way to the bottom to see the first message of socks. If you can't find a more meaningful way to make your requirements clear to the casual user, maybe don't use that system?

If you were truly interested in helping people obtain equipment to take your classes rather than seeking to profit off of their unpreparedness, you wouldn't be charging what you do for such socks as shown me from a plastic sack in the backroom, regardless of your "market research".

One of my favorite studios in Williamsburg! I can also always expect to get a full body burn when I go. Instructors are great and classes are fun. I found the studio through Class Pass and now go at least once a week.

Always a great workout at creative core!! Lots of adjustments that show that Kristen is paying attention to what you’re doing and looking out for your safety.

This is the most unpleasant studio experience I ever had. I signed up via Class Pass. The instructor Kristen insisted that I didn't sign up for the class where I clearly showed her my reservation via Class Pass. She said she doesn't care because she won't get paid for it. This is how you treat and welcome new students to the studio? Then she insists that I pay for $16 grip socks where I could just use a mat for gripping. She is clearly in the business for over-priced grip socks rather than teaching pilates. Horrible and terrible experience, why don't you learn some manners before you even think about teaching and wellness and fitness class

Have been to many studios all over the city and Creative Core is hands down the best. Challenging classes that actually get your heart rate up in a relaxed environment with a fun community. Plus, with reformer classes being capped at 4 people, the instructors get to know your personal strength and provide custom spring loads and lots of adjustments - it's basically like being in a private session!

I've probably been to every Pilates studio in Manhattan and Brooklyn. This is by far the best place I've ever been to, almost so that I hesitate to write a review because it's such a secret find.

I love this studio because you don't need to go anywhere else. Their reformer classes are killer and their springboard classes replace needing to go to any HIIT class / weights.

Kristen the owner knows everyone which gives you that personal feel. Katie and Andrew are THE BEST .

I love this place so much.

Been going there since December. And I went crazy for a while going there everyday. The studio is beautiful and the owner, Kristen, is a lot of fun and very mindful about proper postures. I learned a lot in the class and felt great afterwards! I highly recommend checking out Creative Core Studio if you're in the area. Besides where to find a studio with a Pilate support dog🧚🏼It's the best, one and only.

I’ve tried numerous pilates studios throughout NY and other cities, and Creative Core is the best one I have ever experienced. I saw physical improvements in myself in after the first few classes. I feel considerably stronger and in better alignment now.

This studio is unique for the genuine care and attentiveness demonstrated by its exceptional teachers. They are mindful of where each person is currently at with their physical state. And the classes never feel repetitive, because they sequence new movements and uses of the equipment all the time.

An unexpected benefit has been the camaraderie amongst class attendees and teachers. It’s a challenging workout but I always have a laugh during class, and have really enjoyed getting to know everyone.

I go to Creative Core 3 times a week for the past year. Kristen changed my body after my 2nd kid in a way I never thought possible. I’m pregnant again and still going strong. Ive always done Pilates but Creative Core is the best Pilates studio I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot of them). It’s an actual workout. My husband goes usually twice a week as well and it’s totally helped his core and lower back issues. I’ve also sent my 13 year old there for flexibility issues. They are so great I can’t say enough I’m lucky to have found this studio! Highly recommend!!!

The best pilates reformer classes. Been going here for about a year. The instructors are amazing and I absolutely love the small class size. With the small class sizes they are able to correct your posture or provide modifications. I especially love this gym currently as I am 5 months pregnant and want to make sure I’m exercising safely. Definitely recommend this place!
