Each coach has been welcoming and encouraging since I first took classes at CFBT. I recommend anyone that is committed to fitness and feeling strong in their body to join. (John has the best classes for me, but try everyone - including yoga with Radha!)

I have been coming here 7 years. All the coaches are excellent, put a lot of attention on form, and sensitive to training to one’s level. The community of members is hugely supportive of each other and not a bunch of fitness bros. Big plus!

The drawbacks include the lack of AC the summer and not enough early morning classes.

The motivation we show each other is like no other. All levels of fitness are welcomed and we all support each other to meet our goals. Come join us you won’t regret it. ♥️

CrossFit Bridge and Tunnel is honestly one of the best places I’ve ever joined. When I first started, I really didn’t know what I was doing — I was pretty intimidated by CrossFit in general. But the coaches (especially Anthony, the owner, who sets such a positive tone for the whole gym) made me feel welcome right from day one.

The environment here is incredibly supportive, no matter your fitness level. The coaches take the time to teach you proper form, push you just enough, and celebrate your progress along the way. Because of my time here, I’ve gotten so much stronger — not just physically, but mentally too. I’ve built real muscle and developed a lot more confidence and resilience.

It’s a gym that really cares about its people, and you feel that every time you walk in. I can’t recommend CrossFit Bridge and Tunnel enough — if you’re even thinking about giving it a try, do it.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a year and some change and can easily say that it’s changed the trajectory of my life. Having had no previous gym experience, the coaches and community have been so encouraging and have inspired me to invest more in my wellness. A great place for people of all fitness levels to improve themselves in a safe environment.

At first I was hesitant to join this gym because I was overweight, didn't know good form, and had heard a lot of criticism when people spoke about crossfit, but this place has changed my life! The community is supportive and kind, the couches are efficient yet take the time to engage with you one on one at whatever level you're at, also the on-boarding process is very helpful and structured so getting into the groove of things wasn't overwhelming at all. In the last year and a half I've lost over a hundred pounds and I'm now in the best shape of my life. Just one day at a time, and I have Bridge & Tunnel to thank!!!!

I've been going to this gym for 6+ years and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for the following:

-- A very welcoming and inclusive place where professional coaching is offered to diverse body types, ages, and skill levels.
-- An extremely LGBTQIA+ friendly place. There are Pride workouts that benefit LGBTQIA+ charities.
-- A place where, even if it's your very first CrossFit class, there are scalable options for you. Can't do a pull-up? No problem. You can use a band to assist. That's too hard as well? You can do ring rows. That's too much, too? There's another scaled-down option as well.
-- Somewhere you can build a community and meet awesome new friends in the neighborhood; a place to connect with likeminded people who are interested in a healthy lifestyle.
-- A gym that's fun to go to where laughter is part of the workout!

Anthony, the owner, is extremely skilled and takes his work very seriously, making sure you don't injure yourself, and can make progress that makes sense for you. He is also an amazing person and very welcoming, funny, caring, generous, and patient. All the other coaches are awesome, too.

If you're on the fence, come try it out! It's not easy but if you put in the work, you will see results, and there's a lot here in terms of building a community, networking, and learning more about nutrition, etc. It's all what you make of it.

Definitely the best gym experience I’ve had in a long time. CrossFit can be intimidating! Each coach really takes the time to breakdown each movement/ offer modifications so you feel confident during the workout. The workouts are challenging and they do a great job introducing new movements. Also in a great location, right off the L train in Ridgewood.

I’ve been working out with Coach Anthony and the Bridge & Tunnel family for almost 5 years now, and I highly recommend it for the the sense of community, the professionalism and the careful attention to each and every member. Workouts never repeat themselves, keeping my routine dynamic and fun. From time to time, Coach Anthony hosts extracurricular activities where you get to meet other members better over a beer or a barbecue. The coaching team is very mindful of fitness levels and makes sure you are not overstretching yourself and putting your body at risk of injury. 5/5 stars!

Best CrossFit gym in Brooklyn! Solidly priced, classes are great and include a sliding scale of difficulty so you can work at the level you want. Coaches are also incredible and knowledgeable. I’ve been to a number of CrossFit gyms that had very different mentalities when it comes to the workouts and how you push. I’ve found that here is a perfect balance of pushing but very much within reason and focusing on form rather than volume. I’ve been coming here for a year and a half and know that even if I take a break I’ll always return at some point. Also the community is great! Very lovely folks to see consistently! If you’re looking for a CrossFit gym, this is the place!

I’ve taken many group fitness classes at different gyms, but the classes and coaches at CFBT are on a different level. It may cost more than a commercial gym, but you get what you pay for and I’m pleased with my results after 6 months. Like many, I avoided CrossFit for years because it looked scary and hypermasculine, however the workouts are scaled so you can measure your progress, and the members and coaches have done a great job creating a welcoming environment for athletes of all levels and a safe space for the local LGBT+ community.

My membership with Bridge and Tunnel is money well spent. They’ve done a great job building a community environment and the coaches are friendly and informed.

When I joined I had never done CrossFit - their class format gave me space to learn as a newbie. Almost a year later and I still feel challenged and fulfilled with each session as every workout is scaled to my abilities.

Highly recommend to anyone in the area that is looking for a fitness class format that is fun and challenging.

Should've read the reviews first... I signed up and noted in my info session, before signing any contracts, that because of work and being out of town a lot I needed to buy class packs instead of a recurring subscription. The trainer agreed, appeared to cancel the autopay IN FRONT OF ME, and said that buying class packs instead of enrolling in a recurring subscription was totally fine. A month goes by and I get charged... when I call, I am told, "there's no record of that agreement in your contract and the trainer has no memory of that conversation, but we'll agree to refund you half." I was legitimately speechless! 😂😂 It was a nice place to work out until then, too bad about the selective amnesia. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Best CF gym in allllll the land. Sigh, I moved from NYC and CFBT is one of the only things I miss. This gym is inclusive, and welcoming. I have two bad knees, and not only did this improve my pain, mobility and strength, but I believe it did so because of the coaches here specifically and their ability to alter movements so that those of us that are a little beat up can still workout and progress. I've seen a few reviews on here from people complaining about the cancelation policy, and honestly it was something that almost made me not sign up since I've been to and sadly worked at gyms in the past that give people problems with cancelation...but if that's a concern of yours I'd like to put it to rest. I had zero problems. In fact, every policy here is straightforward and clear, and the owner Anthony will answer any and all questions promptly. I truly don't understand how anyone could have problems like that. Anyway don't hesitate to join this gym, best coaches, best community, best current (and former) members :)

Absolutely love it here. Amazing staff that know how to coach. When I started my first classes, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up, but the coaches take time to ensure you're working out safely, with proper form. I started with weaker legs, and I wasn't sure if the intense workouts were right for me. The coaches adjusted it for me to ensure I have been able to grow physically, and I'm more confident with my body overall.

I decided to try Crossfit Bridge and Tunnel a couple of years ago as a New Years resolution. I was pretty sure that after my trial period of 6 weeks (which I purchased on Groupon) that I would decide to continue with my home workout routine of doing 'Insanity Max 30' videos by myself.
I suppose that I was expecting to have to tolerate some cultish meat-head environment so as to pick up a few skills, and assumed I would come to the conclusion that 'Insanity' was the right fitness solution for my life, especially when I factored in the cost of a membership.
What I actually found out was that no athletic scenario I had ever done before (including team sports, gym memberships, and at-home workout routines) had come close to offering the 'holistic' package of fitness and well-being that I have been on the receiving end of since joining this amazing gym.
Anthony and Michele have curated a down-to-earth, yet results -focused environment where I have found a real sense of community and fun, as well as confidence that at the age of 38, I am on my way to levels of fitness I had previously thought were out of the question since I was beyond my 20s.
Now 2 years later, I'm in the best shape of my life, and I head to the gym everyday with a sense of excitement to expand on my cross fit skills (olympic lifting, cardio endurance, and gymnastics), as well as looking forward to seeing all the friends I've made in this incredibly social and hilarious environment.
Learning that Crossfit Bridge and Tunnel and Crossfit Breed have merged to create an even greater community of amazing coaches and members, gives me all the confidence I need to say, don't just try Crossfit, try Crossfit Bridge and Tunnel!

Warning! Read the fine print! Signing up means you're on auto-pay and there is a 30 day cancellation policy which really means 2 months payment when you decide to quit. At a monthly price of $182.88 a month (tax incl.) this is a significant cost. Shortly after joining I asked for my account to be suspended and taken off auto pay since I was away on work. Several months passed and my account was reactivated which I only realized when I was billed. I reached out to owner Michele several times by email and called numerous times but voice mail is forever full and not accepting messages.

I NEVER received a reply to my emails on bill inquiry or request to cancel membership so I called my cc card to cancel payment and within one week received a collection notice for $380.76 (2 months).

This is a real bummer because I LOVED the classes and community but totally turned off by the way they are running the business end of it. It's a real shame because they lost a customer and any referrals.

I would like this review to be a warning to anyone who gets a membership from this gym. The owner (Michele) makes you sign up through a system called Wodify which automatically enrolls you in an auto-renew account and they make you sign a waiver which also INCLUDES their terrible cancellation policy! As per their waiver, they require a 30-day cancellation request. This is absolutely terrible as they are essentially ensuring they are stealing an additional month from any member who decides to cancel and move on for whatever reason.

To add, the gym owner, Michele has made things even worse. She is very bad at responding to any emails and has STILL not yet confirmed if my account was canceled (this is now 2 weeks later). When I was joining, the responses were almost instant and the communication was great but it appears this has changed a lot since I now want to cancel my membership.

The Crossfit brand is a great community of people but when business and money hungry individuals get involved it can be ugly. Look for another place to spend your hard earned money in.

I’ve been here a few times dropping in and i like
It ! It’s a huge open space with a very industrial feel. There is a garage door that they open up when it’s warm which gives it super awesome
Vibes that you can’t get at a box in the city. The owners are married and are both delightful every time I go in.

This box has assault bikes, climbing ropes, and more than enough Riggs for everyone. They use a digital WOD system to keep track of everyone’s progress and to display the workout
Of the day. I know they also offer barbell club Olympic style classes on Saturdays ( I want to try this).

The location is in Ridgewood / Bushwick border off the L train halsey stop. I’m happy this place exists so close to my apartment. It’s always a pleasure coming here because they work you hard and everyone that goes here is non-pretentious and determined to get fit.
